              It's domestic ZSSW-30 remote turret.

they dropped the Hitfist because supposedly it was "bad", but mainly because the Italians didn't let them fiddle around it nilly willy for upgrades

it was in Slovakia, it got no points in many of the rated categories because no proper documentation was provided

          Is the gun stabilized?

          yes

          How is the Borsuk?

good in its weight class, not as good as modern heavy IFVs, MoD wanted to make it amphibious because muh BMP-1 tactics and muh tank deep fording. Allegedly there will be another 40-50 ton class IFV based on K9 chassis to supplement the lighter ones

its kinda amazing that they sent no documentation with it

Probably would, just like piorun which was bought by slovaks after similar trial.
I don't think borsuk even arrived. They send their candidature for the lulz (probably to signal that it's almost ready or some shit)

This entire thing is fricking weird, it seems like slovaks just put it on their list for the lulz. Im pretty sure it was going through tests in poland at the time so obviously they wouldnt send it away for foreign trials and i doubt anyone would even think about exports when poles want 1k of those things for themselves

          It is a mystery.

bridges exist and when you're defending you'll be using those. it's Russia that would have to ford them.

RusBlack personian vatniks can actually blow up bridge BECAUSE (in theory) all their soviet junk equipment is amphibious (aka it was when it was brand new and all the rubber seals still were elastic instead of solid and brittle)
See those gorillions tiny rivers close to north-east border here?

            It is a mystery.

Those marshes is where rusBlack folk would be attacking from (kaliningrad-suwalki gap-belarus area) hence you want equipment that can operate and fight in there.
Pic related is hows most of the terrain in that area

Poland has 42k bridges, homie. Amphibious capabilities provide many tactical advantages, but it seems that even the army is starting to doubt if armor protection downgrade was worth it

cold war doctrine - massive mech inf rushes trough marshes and rivers avoiding bottlenecks that can be nuked (literally)

It's not even that. It's geography. USA is stuck in sand wars for half a century that's why amphibious vehicles were memory holed. Go fight a war in Eastern Europe for a year and you will change your mind.

What is the modern obsession with building IFV's that only fit 6 troops inside?

      Anonymous

IFV's are considered Intergral to the modern mechanized infantry squad. So you 9 man squads consisting of the IFV crew and 6 man dismounts

      Anonymous

the IFV's armour, weapons, optics and equipment etc is more important than the number of dismounts

The latest rumor is that Poland is going to get CV90 and Borsuk will only be used in the north east where it's basically Finland tier when it comes to lakes and marshes.

Not because it's bad but because making 1000 of them fast enough is unrealistic and CV90 is better.
