I don't give a frick how many le hotdog tests someone does, I highly doubt that having your finger over the cylinder gap will blow your finger off. It will give you a badass sore finger for a couple weeks and maybe even draw blood but it won't blow your fricking finger off like people think it will.
>you should purposely hurt yourself to make a point
Watch Pauls fricking video, he didnt have his little drumstick break until he got to 44 magnum. I'm not saying it wont happen but using the most popular revolver cartridges it won't fricking blow your finger off.
He doesn’t need to I have. When I was trained to shoot semi auto, the guy who trained me had my left support hand have my finger pointing forward now I have no idea if this is as good as he said it was or if it’s any use in real world it was a one day course but no matter how else I try I always revert.
Fast forward a few years visit cousin in US go out in desert to shoot rocks with a.357. Take a break after maybe 50 rounds, notice my left index finger is black. He asked me to show him how I was holding the gun then freaks out, I don’t care carry on shooting same way all day. No injury just black finger.
huh, no one usually grips off hand like that not for revolver reasons, but because of the unwanted pressure from the offhand index, but w/e works for you anon
Nobody should even have to report (You). Posts with this amount of stupid in them should be an automatic 30-day vacation for the first offense, then perma for the second.
As in, how far out to the side? A few inches at least, where the pressure isn't high enough to cut your skin. Just a bit behind the front edge of the cylinder is fine if you mean in that direction.
I got my hand once with cylinder gap using a 44 mag, nothing happened aside from scaring the shit out of myself, hand was forcefully opened and at the end I realized I probably don't want to do that again.
I dunno, I got some powder marks on my thumb from accidentally riding my SAA clone in too much of a thumbs forward grip, was shooting .357 and it didn't do any harm, didn't really even feel it.
Pretty far
