In our post-industrial age, you'd think that making a machine that can shit out chain mail shirts en masse would be pretty easy to get set up, cut out the tedious manual labor part where people spend hours linking the individual chain segments by hand. Chain mail is also ideal because it's just so simple and easy, you slip it on like a shirt, put a belt on over the midsection to take some weight off your shoulders, and you can do anything you normally would without much issue. The only awkward part is bending over to slip it off when you want to remove it.
