Starve it. It can't possible survive without prey species of sufficient mass.
I mean, it would take entire herds of elephants to make a mouthful to that creature.
It could never catch cattle in sufficient numbers to satisfy itself.

The goal of the airforce would be to just make it expend calories by harassing it from out of breath range.

The fact that it can move at all suggests it's simply not operating on anything we'd recognize as conventional biology or physics.

Every giant animal or mech or whatever dies to nukes, the only exceptions being ones where turbonerds explicitly made nukes make them stronger because they don't want their big chunk of dumb meat to get airfried at the press of a button

for "nuke resistance", just use chemical incendiary warheads, preferably chlorine fluorides - nearly everything it touches (wood, plastic, metal, water, ash, rocks, etc.) is both burning and spewing out superheated oxygen gas

resistance to that requires "armor" made of saturated fluorides that are insoluble in HF/ClF/ClF3/ClF5 or other volatile fluoride compounds. no fluoride i'm aware of is suitably insoluble (i.e. it won't fricking melt in whatever the incendiary warhead leaves behind), and i know for a fact none of them make good armor against plain ol' kinetics.

so to create such a creature the author has made magic real, and it can thus either be exploited to destroy the creature or must be made exclusive to the creature, in which case the setting is doomed to moronation for the sole purpose of attempting to one-up the reader's imagination (stories like this are generally written by middle schoolers or their intellectual equivalents)

Sci Fi is for teenagers, you're supposed to grow out of it and into Fantasy.

I'll keep reading sci-fi as long as I keep finding top secret information in their plot lines

this novel has both weaponized autism and had smart dust 2 years before MIT "invented" it

fool. the pinnacle is fantasy with such a robust and consistent setting that its most fantastical elements are indistinguishable from the science of a world unlike our own.

thinking science fiction is unavoidably constrained to a different category than fantasy - whether it makes you hard or not - is folly

Sci-fi is fine when its not fedora tipping bullshit. Good sci-fi is a great way to speculate about the future.

Idk, we've had battleships survive nukes so I think a big enough mech might survive one. That goes for dragons too. If its some continent sized space dragon then nukes might not even register to it.

The dragon in op's puc is fricked though. Don't even need a nuke for that one, just some SAMs and its done.
