    you need a transformer that converts whatever votls your battery has to 1000 volts but your amps are gonna be tiny

    555 time set up as an oscillator.
    multiple diode+capacitor ladder as voltage multiplier.
    number of diodes and capacitors needed depends on input voltage and expected output.

    Buy it. It's not worth the time to wind your own transformer. And make sure that you buy a 555 version board to drive those transformer.
