What is this, the joint between two units of a building?
This seems to be a symptom of one side of the building settling unevenly from the other; you should probably get the foundation underpinned.
Whatever underlying damage is happening that is resulting in this split needs to be addressed.
>I just noticed it also multiple rooms have cracking drywall
Most likely nobody used that tape for reinforcing when filling between 2 boards. UK construction standards and workers are horrid so I've heard.
It looks like the split in the top is at least a couple inches?is this repairable after the foundation is fixed? I Tryed googling but I just get a bunch of codes for jbrick expansion joints and no real answers , should I be freaking out?I see quite a bit of drywall in the crack
I can see the drywall an the top of the crack looks like a few inches at the widest part
>drywall
are you blind?
hire a brick layer
kek the crack obviously goes through a bunch of layers, so what is hiring one even gonna do?
are you people moronic? never heard of expansion joints? never seen real cracks, how uneven they are and take the path of least resistance?
ok, so don't hire just one brick layer. hire two brick layers
depends on how far acrossed the building is suposed to be but ya that could probably be enough to work
much better idea than this moron

It's the break-joint. You make these 3/4 of the way down the building before turning the corner to the back. Adds stability/makes the corner work easy
It’s all one house but I just noticed it also multiple rooms have cracking drywall
your house is literally falling apart, might be a sink hole. you'll wake up dead one of these days

You're gonna have to fill your crack.
This, fill your crack with caulk.
get some caulking and fill it
That's a Brick Expansion joint, Seal it with some tubes of expansion joint sealant,. Shove in a foam plastic backer rod to fill up the space
Insert foam strips 4" inboard full length then another strip at the edge. Pour Bentonamint into the cavity. Post results.

>How do I fix this?
Fixing that is pointless until you find out why it happened and fix that first. Most likely a foundation issue.
Just push it back together
>fix
It's not broken.
Flex tape, make sure to get the pro-grade stuff for a pro
looks like OP is going to need some caulk in his crack. OP is a homosexual.
tear it down and start over with properly designed control joints
