because they're a jokem, anyone who knows about military hardware knows they're a joke and anyone who knows how russians are knows theyre a fucking joke
we saw a lot of them recently in fact. a number were deployed with the vdv “offensive” in the forests south of kreminna. one or two got destroyed with footage of it. seems to me to be a tactically sound decision to deploy them in wooded areas, although of course the russian army is still trash as a system which is why they didnt make any difference.
I'm sure there advance urban warfare abilities are being utilized effectively by Russia.
Perhaps by advancing them, alone, unsupported, across vast open fields....
Not many of them were built, the footage that is out there isn't really flattering (what with the gun barrels vibrating and shaking uncontrollably like the poor thing has Parkinson's), the Ukrainians already got footage of blasting one to kingdom come and when you think about it, the intended doctrinal role is mainly a stupid self-inflicted problem in the first place that no other nation has to deal with.
It's an undeniably cool system in a photogenic Top Trumps kind of way, but in real life it's just kind of questionable at best.
>These losses don't matter! We still have like 9 more of them!
It's still more actual combat footage of one than whatever propaganda cancer russia released of them, but I'm sure you think that shooting at a random treeline will win the war for ruzzia.
The russians are using them to just mow down the forests the hohols hide in. They also use to level buildings with hohols cowering inside. They just fire incrementally, right to left left to right literally sawing the buildings in half...
Dump their 800 rds. out of jav range and go back to base..
Why is it so hard for /k to accept that the Russkies are winning ?
strange, the only videos I ever saw of Terminators are them just shooting at trees and brances. Do you have videos of them "cutting buildings in half", or even a single picture of a Terminator killing something?
what pants-on-head a retarded design. The muzzle brake ports are facing each other causing sideways barrel vibrations. The designer should be taken outside and shot.
i don't understand why you would ever need 2 guns for an ifv.
your targets are gonna be infantry/ apcs/ ifvs maybe retarded helos. how is an extra 30mm cannon gonna help you dealing with these targets? >infatry still explodes with one cannon >apcs still explode with one cannon >ifvs still get penned and explode with one cannon >helis still explode with one cannon

Like the other anon said, I could see the point if they alternated fire, so you'd have double the rate of fire and therefore a higher probability of a hit, etc. Otherwise it just seems to double ammo expenditure for significantly reduced accuracy

it would make sense if we were in 1960 but with modern FCS wouldn't you be better off with a very precise low rate of fire cannon with smart programmable munitions? >infantry is now much easier to kill since the 30 now explodes mid air near the target >apcs still eat shit >you can kill ifvs at longer ranges and their infantry >helis are now easier to kill
2x fireate destroys cover faster but now you get shit accuracy and you are even easier to spot because you need to get closer to support inf
The gun is inaccurate even if it's just one of them. It's just a shitty design by retarded people.
I'm Trying to find the old RT video where they went through a "Modern" Russian factory where they were making weapons and then we got to see them make a 30mm 2A42 Barrel....
So the 2 Russians inserted a pipe through a recently made barrel and held it under a power hammer as they were attempting to straighten the barrel by eyesight alone (And this fucking power hammer didn't have a die or anything for them to use a guide or for more precise hammering... they just held it under there until it looked straight). After that barrel was done being "Straightened" They threw it in a pile and got the next one. Once that was done the same 2 fuckers where the ones attaching the barrels to the rest of the autocannons before boxing and shipping.
>The muzzle brake ports are facing each other causing sideways barrel vibrations
AFAIK only one barrel ever shoots at one time because they are both loaded with different types of ammunition. if you shoot at a target that is suited for one kind of ammo it wont be suited for the other kind of ammo.
probably because PrepHole is filled to the brim with morons, reddit trannies and feds
>Why is it so hard for /k to accept that the Russkies are winning ? >probably because PrepHole is filled to the brim with morons, reddit trannies and feds
Stop talking to yourself you fucking psycho; and for the record PrepHole has too many snowmorons and FSB glowmorons....but when the next round of "mobilization" is announced, that problem will solve itself.
I mean define "winning". Advancing tens of metres a day for thousands of casualties in a single village for months? Do we have to forget the kharkiv and kherson offensives? If anything the war has ground to a stalemate, but the ukies are the ones getting more advanced weaponry and training, whereas the russkies are dragging t-62's from storage. The trend doesn't seem to favour the russians at this point
There's very few of them to begin with, add in the ones already destroyed and its even less.
You also have to consider its one of the Russian wonder weapon armata kind of things where its mostly propaganda with about 12 that actually work and it's going to be withheld, hence why the footage of it there's never any enemy visible, just trees.
Telegram posts mentioned that a bunch of them were disabled by machinegun fire and drone dropped frags because the cowlings on the turret don't provide dick all protection. If you notice more recent footage, they arent carrying their atgm's anymore becuase of a touch off risk too
Same thing as all aviation larger than quadrotor drones: largely suppressed from frontline duty due to widespread AA and now fulfill more auxiliary duties
Russia isn’t smart enough to make them at scale and the Russian Army isn’t smart enough to use them to any meaningful effect even if they were. So why bother? It’s much easier to just say you’re winning.
because they're a jokem, anyone who knows about military hardware knows they're a joke and anyone who knows how russians are knows theyre a fucking joke
Seethe cope and dilate gay
which color of Lada will you reincarnate into when you're slaughered in ukraine?

I still hear about them
Holly fucking shit that dispersion
Why don't they alternate the guns so they dont fire at the same time and wobble each other like this? It would double the rate of fire
>mfw

I'm pretty sure that 30mm shells exploding in the trees 10 feet of the ground is going to fuck shit up.
You are a retard
Yeah they fucked that tree up nice but not much else.
It would kill you you fucking chud.
>chud chud chud!
How did russia fuck up again today? Another attack slaughtered near Vuhledar?
Cope
>800 rds. out of jav range
Really?
>javelin range: 4,000M
>BMPT 30mm effective range: 2,000M
>BMPT 30mm max range: 4,000M
whatever you say anon, I guess we just dont understand the advantage of using a 30MM autocannon as indrect fire
>BMPT 30mm effective range: 2,000M
lol, nay lmao
'effective range'. That parkinsons barrel isn't hitting shit at range. What a pile of shit.
30mm automatic shotgun would be great for shooting at buildings in grozny though
what pants-on-head a retarded design. The muzzle brake ports are facing each other causing sideways barrel vibrations. The designer should be taken outside and shot.

have they coped by saying it is area denial weapon yet?
silly west pig
It's designed for suppressing fire so the more spread the better
This is clearly by design. If the gun puts all the shells in one spot you only have one hole. If the gun spreads them around you have many holes.
this is usually by design for mgs not really for autocannons. It's better to place your shots on the trenches/windows rather than all around them.
i don't understand why you would ever need 2 guns for an ifv.

So you are basically saying they didn't even rifle their rifled barrels?
Kek kys

They tried but unfortunately it was with a terminator and they couldn't hit him 🙁

Because they had like 20 to begin with and a bunch got rekt on mines and with artillery.

They didn't build very many. Just like the t14 and t15. Looks cool when it shoots its dual turret though.
They'll be back.
Telegram posts mentioned that a bunch of them were disabled by machinegun fire and drone dropped frags because the cowlings on the turret don't provide dick all protection. If you notice more recent footage, they arent carrying their atgm's anymore becuase of a touch off risk too
There was a video of one severely fucking shit up
there were 10 of them
Key word.
>were
They'll report their status when they'll stop seething.
How come we never hear about TB2s anymore? What happened to all of them?
Same thing as all aviation larger than quadrotor drones: largely suppressed from frontline duty due to widespread AA and now fulfill more auxiliary duties

they are busy gathering lumber.
