i have this ramp for my dachshund but he just jumps right over the railing. i want to make the railing taller
what do you think is the best way for me to do this? i have a limited budget.
i was thinking of attaching some fencing? or plywood?
what do you think i can do to make it taller and add a "wall" to the ramp to stop my dog jumping over it?
letting your dog sleep on your bed is the first step of being a cuckold
>he just jumps right over the railing
So...?
the whole point of the ramp is to protect my dog's back and limit him from jumping
i'm a girl but if that still makes me a cuck i'm okay with that
>i'm a girl
Post breasts and stop fricking the wiener dog.
>Post breasts
This isn't /b/ dumbass, and she only said that to reply to the other post.
>Whiteknighting on PrepHole
She still mentioned being a girl even when it had no bearing on anything.
Shut up incel. Nothing you’ve said has any bearing on the thread homosexual.
>stop fricking the wiener dog
This. You should at least upgrade to a retriever or husky.
girls always have the fricking urge to declare that they are female in hopes they can use their vegana to get more attention and replies, so either "give us a reason to give you more attention" or shut the fricking up
breasts or gtfo has nothing to do with /b/ you whiteknighting newbie
There are no females on the internet.
>protect my dog's back and limit him from jumping
frick you moron, it's a fricking dog.
>a girl
I understand why you had to ask about this now.
i was looking at bed railings but most of them get installed under the mattress so that doesn't work, i want to attach it to the railing
i really just want ideas.
OP you worthless fricking homosexual, use your fricking head ya jerkoff wienersucker. It’s a fricking ramp. Just go to the store and buy a piece of wood and lean it against the bed. Are you a fricking moron? Also if your dog is so weak and moronic that it needs a ramp, why would it suddenly jump over a railing ? You are a moronant homosexual. Please be near Schenectady so I can kick your ass you little b***h.
how should i mount it so that it is connected to the railing? my dog is a dachshund, jumping off of heights is bad for their backs, i try to train him to use the ramp but he is very stubborn
Why not just use a few poles to extend it up and and lash it on top? a lot less weight and outlay as long as you can tie rope
Use hexagon wire mesh and zip tie it to the railings and maybe a staple gun to attach to frame. Then bend over and cover any sharp edges with duct tape.
Of course the real answer is to train your brainlet dog not to jump over it.
why not break the dogs legs so it can't jump
The ramp would make more sense if the dog had wheels
>jumps right over the railing
which means he doesn't need the fricking ramp you stupid shit.
Dachshunds are fricking idiots and their stupid body shape means that if you don’t prevent them from doing stuff like this they’ll spend their last few years in misery from constant back pain or you’ll have to put them down early
I also have a dachshund but we just have tiny stairs for him and he seems to understand the concept of those well enough
So... don't get a breed of dog that's a gimped genetic mishap?
Why not lower the top end of the ramp a bit so your pet can 'jump' a little to the top of the ramp and walk the rest of the way down?
It may not like coming down the ramp because it's too steep. After a while, you could raise it if they didn't object.
he jumps over the low end of the ramp
yeah mine jumps like a loon, he has really strong back leg muscles. he is also a mix so his legs are a little longer than a typical doxie
let it frickign jump then
buy a sheet of 1/8 plywood and just screw it in. Did this need a thread?
cut the cheapest lattice mesh like material you can find and connect it around the edge with screws, finish nails, or zip ties. Hot melt glue or whatever you hodge podge little diy femcels have on hand.
I also have a mini dachshund and tried both stairs and a ramp. They have to be trained to use either and they have to be trained to do it in every place you put one. This proved too much for me so we trained ours to use an intermediate stool/ottoman for the couch, his favorite chairs, and the bed. He's 12 years old now with zero chronic back issues. He has hurt his back before from playing too hard or getting jumped on by another dog, but he's in great health and gets around fine. The whole ramp thing is overblown. You do need to be protective of their backs, but a huge part of this is just minimizing impact instead of trying to completely avoid it which many vets are now saying is actually worse. Let the dog jump, but give them less far to jump.
