For the past few days water has been dripping in the bowl but i can't figure out how to access the tank without tearing the entire apart, it's glued to the floor and the only peek inside is the hole on top where the button is screwed, how screwed i am?
Wtf nu-toilet is this. Look up the model name and check for an access panel on the other side.of that wall.
no idea of the model, it was installed by the previous owner, the brand is the following but it seems they don't make it anymore. No visible access panels anywhere, perhaps i need to cut the silicone holding in to the floor and pull the entire thing upwards?

Take pictures from both sides, straight on, and top down at least. I'm interested in how this tank works now. I doubt it would be completely unmaintainable.
It's just a one-piece thing which is siliconed to the floor.
I see no pipes or the shutoff. They must be on the other side of the wall. Pics behind the wall?
there's another mirrored apartment behind the wall, no clue where the shut-off valve is either, could be inside that tank
tell the landlord to fix it in writing txt or email is best because it leaves a digital trail this is not your problem if they refuse to fix refuse to pay rent you have it in writing
Use email for formal matters
>apartment
that toilet is like that so you don't frick with it. Call your landlord rentoid
i own the apartment, bought it second hand and it came with it
i found the part i need, unless of course the float is fixable, i'll mess around with it when i remove it
The float malfunctioning is usually because calc and all other shit gets over the float mechanism and hardens, you can try cleaning it and lubricating it with wd40 or something
unscrew the thingo on top and it undoes
tried that, i can wobble the tank but it's glued on the floor with silicone, and i am hesitant to cut it and pulling the entire thing up before turning off the shut off valve which i can't seem to find
Haha, get fricked. Serves you right for getting a fancy-ass toilet.
Okay i've done it, i cut the silicone and the entire thing slides upwards but it's heavy af, needs two people to lift it up.
Are you Sponge Bob?
lol

You gotta be shittin me (no pun intended). That thing actually plugs into the water tank, with O-ring couplings?
>Wasting water with that
Rip it out and install a composting toilet in it's place
>smell
No thanks.
so there seems to be a fricking nuclear reactor in this thing, i was expecting the flapper valve to be in plain view but that would be too reasonable.
So any neurologist here, what the heck is this thing?
nope, that looks new.
>seems to be a fricking nuclear reactor in this thing
haahahah

It's over, the plumber wins
In America, back-outlet toilets are almost invariably commercial-grade. The "Concealed Tank 2x4" along with the 3½" thickness indicates that it is meant to be enclosed within a 2x4 wall. It makes sense that there would be some access panel in the back, accessed through some service corridor, but also I would not be surprised if they carried a 10+ year warranty for those models, and the part that is most likely to fail is actually the panel that's surface-mounted.
You would be surprised at how expensive "normal" toilets can be too.
>You would be surprised at how expensive "normal" toilets can be too.
What you posted uses the same mechanism as OP's crapper, so not a normal toilet. Pic related is the sort of thing I've been shitting in for 60 years. I can't figure out why you would need more.
Checked
>I can't figure out why you would need more
Not more, just different for no advantage. At least the Japs have those automatic bidet things which are useful. This toilet is just aggrivating to work on.
>just different for no advantage
Ah. Kinda like every version of Windows after 7.
I guess it's slightly more easy to clean.
Cheap glaze, stains more easily. Lesser quality mechanisms. Also Home Depot landlord special toilets are second picks at the factory, so they don't always line up right. I've installed two so far, and both had to be shimmed at the tank and at the base. Pay a little extra for a brand name at a plumber's supply and you will not have this problem.
>same mechanism
It's a regular toilet, with a dual flush valve. It arguably looks better than a $100 toilet. This model is an elongated, which many people find more comfortable to sit on. It can also adapt to 10" and 14" flanges - that is not standard, but some bathrooms are like that, and getting a toilet that accommodates the existing opening is less work than moving a toilet flange.
english isn't my native language so I don't know the technical terms, but water dripping in the bowl can be one of two things, either the valve with the float isn't shutting down correctly so the tank overflows, or the flapper valve got fricked and is leaking water, so which is it, just look, it isn't that complicated.
I would also advise to replace that hose while you're at it since they are rated to last for 5 or so years
it's not leaking while it's filling up, only after it's completely full and it drains into an overflow pipe so it's not the flapper valve but the float not shutting it down.
>ESL
>valve with the float
You might get a chuckle out of this one, but it's called the "ballwiener".
>Fancy overengineered toilets
holy shit nothing is safe these days
It's fascinating that it can work without any power.
Are you moronic?
That is a lot of effort to go through to piss into the tank.
I'm not sure what problem this thing solves that wan't already solved by a flapper and a chain.
I would assume it's som low flow bullshit
I made my own low flow toilet
>take normal toilet
>put brick in cistern
>reduce water usage by 30%
>take dump
>won't flush
>remove brick
Turns out my bowels aren't suitable for low flow toilets
>To ensure trouble-free operation, the hidden cisterns employ cutting-edge technology and functional features.
There you have it, the slogans are much better
After having a look at it it operates just like a regular float but with a different design, there’s an upside down cup in the middle which fills with air when the tank is empty and is pushed upwards while the tank is filling, pushing the valve component upwards and shutting the flow.
sledgehammer
What a literal shitshow. It's a thousand dollar toilet designed to prevent bacteria from generating in the tank of water that only touches the toilet bowl. If you aren't a hospital, you've wasted about $900. If possible, you might replace the whole unit with a normal toilet for less money than it will take to repair your current one.
Captcha: NYGA
Spongebob Squarepants toilet
the button unscrews, you'll figue it out from there
It's fixed bros, all i needed to do was tighten that white screw which adjusts the float level, i feel so accomplished now!
Thanks for updating us.
Good job
Sledge
It looks like a fricking ADSL modem. Who designed that shitter?
>telekom router
Serbian?
Everybody will say they're a a b***h to work opn and install, but I plan to install in wall toilet this year I like the looks.
also trips checked
PrepHole is Serbia. Literally only American boomers and some Serbs on this board. No exception.
I was hoping I would never be reminded of ADSL again but your stupid toilet just had to.
>in wall toilet
I had a different issue with mine. They put the hot water valve for that whole bathroom next to the tank, shut the valve and then put tiles over it all. So we get around to mounting the sink maybe 1 year later and find out the hot water is shut off. The toilet itself just works.
Consider creative ways to make it easy to maintain like an attractive access panel on the opposite side of the wall the toilet backs up to.
I would ensure it's very well supported. I welded a strong sink mounts from cheap flat bar for my landlord after his other tenant broke theirs by fricking on it.
This is unnecessary. I've installed loads of these. All the internals for the cistern can be easily accessed from the removal
of the push plate. Its designed this way to make future repairs easy. Which they are
