Honestly, how hard would it be for me to hijack a Mi-24 from a Russian airfield?
I can speak and read decent Russian, I can blend in and I'm more than sure I can find a flight simulator for a Mi-24.

I used to do it all the time in Mercenaries from NK airbases, so it shouldn't be that hard.
Don't listen to
Do it mid air with grappling hook like Mercenaries 2, or you're a homosexual.
mercenaries 1 was such a kino game.
i hate how soulless games have become
You can actually do quite a bit when putting enough hubris against sheer incompetence.
DCS has an Mi 24 module.
Do it, anon.
Where could I honestly fly to in order to successfully escape? I feel like Ukraine and Finland are out of the question and would result in being instantly shot down
Maybe Latvia or Lithuania?
I'd go south or east. Maybe Turkey, Georgia, or even Kazakhstan.
I'm thinking Estonia.
I have to take fuel into account. I won't exactly have time to refuel it myself and make a "clean" getaway
>Russia into Belarus
>cross the Ukranian border at tree top level and immediately land in the first field, call the police and explain
>get sweet defector bux for the Hind
You should probably call ahead with all the AA on both sides
>Get sweet defector bucks.
OP didn't actually say he was Russian.
Who's to say he they wouldn't take the helicopter and say "k thx bye", absolutely no reward for his effort.
>Who's to say he they wouldn't take the helicopter and say "k thx bye", absolutely no reward for his effort.
They would absolutely MILK it for propaganda to be certain.
Oh I have no intentions of turning it over. If I successful, I'm keeping it. The most I would do is donate the rockets and ammo to Ukraine (or leave it in some farmer's field) for all I care.
>If I successful, I'm keeping it
Tell that to Ivanovich.
>sir you have to register civilian aircraft
>where did you sya you bought it
>uh huh, mhm, okay
>we're gonna be keeping this
- the national police forces of wherever you land
You should become a mercenary pilot in Africa like that one badass South African dude with his own Hind. I forget his name, but the story was legendary.
Originally, I wanted to hijack a Mi-28. However, the likelihood of finding one would more than likely be highly unlikely.
The KA-52 was also considered, but their track record as of this recent conflict has been....not optimistic
It would probably much easier to just bribe them
You could probably just get a truck, load one up, and drive out of a graveyard with it. They're not super heavy, just big.
Also, on the topic of this thread, I really desperately want a GSh-18 to the point I've been seriously considering getting some kind of a deal with the Ukrainian MOD to exchange functional Glocks or other similar pistols for captured GSh parts kits

Since you have probably don't speak even a syllable of Russian let alone read it, I expect you to fail to even to start the thing. Do Hinds need ground start equipment?
OP, you should definitely do it. Bring a gun and kill several Russians on your way there for good luck.
least obvious fed post
all you have to do is say "I am acting as an free citizen of the world acting for the UN charter right to collective self defense on behalf of the people of (whoever Russia is currently invading)" and you can shoot russians legally
