Honest question: Why haven't we considered giving Ukraine a bunch of old F-117s?
They're all just mothballed in climate controlled hangars except for the ones we use for training and it's not like we'd be giving away any secrets since Russia got their hands on the one that got shot down in Serbia in the 90s. Given the pathetic state of Russian air defense it seems like having a stealth light bomber might actually be really beneficial to Ukraine.
Yeah why don't we just integrate the Ukrainian military into the US? We already own them anyways.
I wouldn't object.
Because you're a cuck.
If we directly integrate them then we won't get to see the Ukies flying night raids in F-117s with swastikas and Luftwaffe crosses painted on them. That's why we need to gift them.
>Biden, I need 4 billion swastika F117s to bomb donetsk children. Slava Ukraini.
send them 5 billion
NGL when you put it like that, sounds pretty based.
You forgot the digicamo that Ukraine uses on their jets.
That's solve the numbers problem.
It would be worth it alone just to see the initial Russian reaction. They've been bragging that they can shoot these down no problem, would love to see it put to the test.
Honest question: Why the fuck should we?
If it got shot down by an s125 why do you think it would do better against s300
Found the Serb. How’s it feel that the only thing of note your country has ever done is shoot down a plane.
They also killed Archduke Ferdinand.
Causing the end of European Monarchy and hegemony over the globe is another achievement of the Serb people .
Why don't you answer his question?
he didnt say anything wrong.
Because half the reason it was shot down was planners getting lazy and flying the same flight path multiple times. We've seen that Russian AA is less than competent, particularly if you mix in some poor morale and poorly trained mobiks.
2 F117's were hit in Sebia
I swear: One should bitch slap every planner who was responsible of sending F117s down the same flight path for weeks so the fucking serbs could get a firing solution.
Every time some asshole mentions the downing of that 117 as """evidence""" against the stealth features of the plane those planners should have someone to ring their door bell and when they open he should kick them in the nuts and leave without further comment.
NO: Serbs did not shoot down an F117 because serbs were competent
NO: Serbs did not shoot down an F117 because combloc radars are good
NO: Serbs did not shoot down an F117 because comblock AA missiles are good
NO: Serbs did not shoot down an F117 because it was a flawed design
This plane was downed because planners let it fly the exact same path again and again til every serb asshole could correct his fucking stolen wristwatch over it.
>According to most accounts, the night “Vega 31” was shot down was the only evening where EA-6B Prowlers were not present to wreak havoc on hostile radars.
So why was the second F117 hit?
Because retrieving just one crash wouldn't have been cost effective
funny how these look way more futuristic than modern fighters
Because the F-117 that can even fly are used to test stealth features and sigredux technology.
I thought they were all mothballed in readiness state because it was cheaper than scrapping them?
Nope they're still used, its just cheaper to say they're retired.
Only if we send the people necessary to train them along with all support personnel required. For training. We should probably give another Patriot to help keep everyone safe til the training is over. They can keep the Patriot.
Nah give those bros a tr3b
We still use them as aggressors and as testbeds for new stealth coatings
>let's just set up an infamously maintenance, logistics and training heavy stealth aircraft with with an already strained Ukrainian military.
I'd love to see the nighthawk obliterating Russian targets but the boring reason is it's just not realistic logistically or economically. It's been out of full service for years with the US, let alone in full combat readiness.
Ukraine can have one if they can make a sick enough belly design.
The official blue is actually really close to perfectly blending in with the sky.
the US isn't giving them f16s, so it follows logically that they aren't going to give them f117s. here's an idea: what if the US just nuked russia off the map? what if they used HAARP to shake moscow into rubble? what if they activated the kilswitches in all their western CPUs and totally crippled their economy and critical infrastructure?
>because it's not necessary for ukraine to win and it looks bad?
>he still thinks the F117s are not in active use to this day
>he fell for the "mothballed" meme
