Two things I want to comment on, while admittedly having no knowledge on the subject aside from superficial shit I've read.
The first point is that apparently the vaccine became less effective when the Covid virus mutated, meaning they had to adapt the vaccine, which kinda makes your point moot. That's just like regular flu vaccines, which have to be adapted for every new strain.
Second, one reason I've been moderately skeptical about the vaccine, is because I read about it in the early days of the epidemic when they first started talking about the mRNA vaccine (before the anti-vaxxers went nuts), and from what I recall, they started research on it in the early 90s. However, most of the trails were failures, and some even resulted in cancer. Apparently the Covid vaccine was the first mRNA vaccine that was approved, which made me a bit apprehensive.

It was released before even a year had passed, so you can hardly claim it was a "wait and see" procedure. In fact, one of the unique aspects of Covid vaccine, was the fact that it was pushed through much earlier and with less testing than other vaccines, because of how important it was considered.
Again, I'm not anti-vaxx and don't believe there was a conspiracy behind it. If anything, I believe it was pushed out early because they believe it would be beneficial, and it probably was.

The Army and Navy rely on people who don't know any better. The USMC relies on people who embrace the memes and tends to have fewer recruiting problems. The Coast Guard and Air Force are for people who want careers.

Two things I want to comment on, while admittedly having no knowledge on the subject aside from superficial shit I've read.
The first point is that apparently the vaccine became less effective when the Covid virus mutated, meaning they had to adapt the vaccine, which kinda makes your point moot. That's just like regular flu vaccines, which have to be adapted for every new strain.
Second, one reason I've been moderately skeptical about the vaccine, is because I read about it in the early days of the epidemic when they first started talking about the mRNA vaccine (before the anti-vaxxers went nuts), and from what I recall, they started research on it in the early 90s. However, most of the trails were failures, and some even resulted in cancer. Apparently the Covid vaccine was the first mRNA vaccine that was approved, which made me a bit apprehensive.
I'm not an anti-vaxxer, but more of a "wait and see" guy.
Pfizer et al did the 'wait and see'. It's called testing before releasing to the public. I literally am friends with a Pfizer lab exec, it's absolutely insane that people think they were beholden to some conspiracy to push out a faulty jab. Who the hell does that good for? The only reason people I think made up jab conspiracies in the first place is because it gave them ammo for their freemasons run the country or whatever conspiracy. It's just fricking morons being moronic, but now they're preying on the populaces poor understanding of vaccine technology to get followers.
It was released before even a year had passed, so you can hardly claim it was a "wait and see" procedure. In fact, one of the unique aspects of Covid vaccine, was the fact that it was pushed through much earlier and with less testing than other vaccines, because of how important it was considered.
Again, I'm not anti-vaxx and don't believe there was a conspiracy behind it. If anything, I believe it was pushed out early because they believe it would be beneficial, and it probably was.
So are HIV rates just going to get worse and worse in Russia? I'm dubious that they have the introspection and institutional muscle to actually treat and prevent HIV infections
