>it's a drone
Then why the fuck is there a cockpit for the pilot and gunner? One of the things that makes aircraft expensive is figuring out all the interfaces and ergonomics for the squishy meat sacks flying them. Drones can be optimized for cost/aerodynamics/stealth/payload/etc. without human bodies to account for.
it absolutely is and it's amazing
Turkiye used to buy those from america, when Turkiye started using them against commie k*rds america stopped servicing them and selling new choppers
work on indigenous choppers started in 1995
you are confusing the t929 with t629
t929 is atak 2 the manned one
t629 is the drone one that also has a manned version for whatever reason

It's prototype lacking many actual features. Looks empty and soulless. Also, the gun and E/O placement is just retarded

looks like one of those indian videos trending videos thats made of 2$ thin sheet metal
Why's it so fucking huge? Can it transport people like a Hind?
That's the TAI T929 ATAK 2 that just had its take-off and landing test a week ago. It's just a prototype that's not finished yet, and will likely look much better by 2024 when it gets refined and then begins serial production in 2025.
It has a maximum take-off weight of 11 tons and uses TV3-117VMA-SBM1V turboshaft engines from Ukraine which has around 2,200 or 2,500 SHP take-off power. I wouldn't be surprised if it's adopted by Ukraine as well after the war with Russia ends.
The SSB and TEI abandoned developing a possible TS3000 engine in favor of buying the Ukrainian engine while TEI focuses on developing the TF6000 and TF10000 turbofan engines instead. The T625 Gokbey utility helicopter and newer versions of the T129 ATAK will use the newly domestically-developed TS1400 turboshaft engine which has 1,475 SHP take-off power.
I'm just waiting for the next wave of gun influencers and tactical companies to milk their Ukraine war-cred to sell overpriced gear and courses. Definitely is cool to see Ukraine redevelop domestic military industrial capabilities. Probably will have some real innovation at least
>No wonder Pakistan chose the Chinese Z-10E
1. That was in the same class as the T129, this is the T929 and weighs twice as much.
2. They didn't, or at least they didn't cancel the T129 like online rumors claimed.

What's the problem with it?
not op but it looks like a generic attack helicopter from an early 2000s era cyberpunk future video game
Because its a drone. You don't need pilots inside.
Why does it have a tandem seat cockpit then?

Yup, of all the Attack Helicopters that sure as heck is one of them.
Truly one of the attack helicopters of all time
>Turks finally reverse engineer an Apache

The payload will be 2 tonnes. I think they want to be able to fit torpedoes, anti-ship missiles & cruise missiles into that
Is Ergogan the new ataturk?
