Nostalgic pining after the dogshit old EU is sort of like that meme about how we need to return to the "old tradition" of gay pride instead of the "new" version.
I didn't care much for the Yuuzan Vong either anon, but you have to admit, this shit

Oh muh sweet zoomer.
was cool and old Clone Wars was better than nu Clone Wars
>old clones: >What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word.
>nu clones: >I dindu nuffin it wuz the voices in my headddd
>old clone wars
Gritty, full of Jedi blunders, badasses on both sides and clone troopers that sounded like soldiers and understood the horrors of their situation but knew that their only purpose was kicking ass. Also spawned the Tartakovsky series which is mind blowing animation quality to this day. A true multimedia project with books, games and other merchandise created in tandem, many of which enjoy cult followings into the present. Alpha 12 and Delta Squad send their regards.
>nu clone wars
Watered down trash in the interest of attracting kids and then packed full of shock horror and violence to placate the legions of mewling manchildren who wanted the low-effort cartoon to cater to a more "mature" audience. Disgraceful animation, putrid writing and generated a few utterly forgettable books and games because Star Wars had literally nothing else to draw on for half a decade. Only carried on with references in new media because the only thing Disney can rely on is milking member berries from zoomers.
The past not being perfect doesn't excuse the present being absolute dogshit.
That's like saying "yeah you have cancer now, but you used to have a cold. So there's no point in going back."
The present being infinitely worse doesn't excuse the much too recent past for being objectively intolerable. First our hair was on fire, now our whole body is on fire, and you want to go back to just the hair.
Unironically yes
I don't care if the hair was still on fire, at least the rest of the body was comfy >t. watched TPM for the first time in decades, enjoyed it except for the Tatooine segment and Gungans >would watch again if such an edit existed
Idk about whatever specific Star Wars fighter this is, but generally speaking almost all fictional spaceship designs are all easy to build, usually having downright ancient sensor suites, weaponry and other "soft" features, as to invoke WW2 dogfight imagery, but their power plants, propulsion and sometimes weapons (which in the last case are most often retarded waste of resources) are downright impossible to produce.
Star Wars is the best example - logically within rules of the setting combat would take place at interstellar distances using hyperspace projectiles.
Is this by the guy who made a bunch of Star Wars cross sections and then gave ships ridiculous fucking stats like 1000+ G acceleration, just so he could give nerds an argument in SW vs ST/40K/etc debates?
>The world's strongest military doesn't need to develop fast aircraft because they can just park fat doorstoppers off your coast & slow stealth doritos in your airspace >Countries that could benefit from fast interceptors/bombers are too corrupt to make a serious breakthrough in aviation & focus on cool propaganda weapons like grenade sniper rifles and IFVs with 8 weapon systems slapped onto it
I just want to see man go fast.
This is rad as hell is this fanart?
It's on fucking point to the old cross section books
yeah whoever did it replicated the DK Star Wars books even better than the new actual official Star Wars books do
>tfw fucking furries are better at it than nu-Starwars management

Oh muh sweet zoomer.
Oh yeah that's the good shit. I spent hours memorizing every detail of the Millennium Falcon
>Can we produce a bunch of vague science fiction mumbo jumbo
Probably not gay
Why does it has more "firepower, armour, and shields than a battlecruiser". How shit are the battlecruisers then?

If it's not him it's someone imitating his shit, but yes you're thinking of the right person.
Lmao no. Wtf is a graviton core?
gravitons are a ye olden quantum theory idea that there is some sort of massless or near massless particle responsible for gravity fields
they were commonly misinterpreted in old sci-fi as being a traditional particle that could be produced artificially for anti gravity motors
fits kinda well given Star Fox was initially a kind of 40s pulp swashbuckling sci-fi setting
>he doesn't know
It's the center of a Graviton duh.
>March 4.2
Holy frijole
>variable wing sweep
Kino by definition
holy fuck the space plane has space wings so it can space fly through the space atmosphere and fuck ya mudda
>the fastest fighter in the world today would be STILL twice as slower as an Arwing
what the fuck.
Do you mean "half the speed?"
We could build a functional replica but it wouldn't have all the sci-fi stuff like a plasma generator for propulsion.
Speed became irrelevant, a Mig-31 from the 80s ha 2.8 mach as its top speed. We haven't gone faster than that because we don't need to.

nah but that'd be cool
>no StarFox reboot that's as gritty as BSG 2004
>no hawt scenes of Fox and Krystal fucking
Life is pain.
why are people itt talking about Star Wars when it shows an Arwing on OP?
Sex with Krystal
