But it's made of all the fingers I have to take
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside
If the itch goes on
IM NOT GONNA MAKE IT!
I have clawed until my colon collapsed
I've waited as my ass prolapsed
Now, all I do is scratch with so much hate
I've wished for this, I've b***hed at that
I've left behind this little fact
You cannot scratch what you did not reach
I've gotta itch what I've gotta scratch
And then, I swear, it'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the blood
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like one big task
You're scratched with me 'cause you left me no choice
>IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT SLOWLY STOPS THE IIIITCH!!!!!
Sounds like you've got butt parasites. Go see a doctor to get a parasiticide Rx. In the meantime, stop sticking stuff up your ass. You're spreading the infection and probably re-infecting yourself.
This. You can be a fudd at any age. He meticulously tests everything he presents and even has moments where he says "Gee, I didn't expect those results, allow me to revise my working hypothesis" which is antithetical to the fudd mentality. We should all aspire to be scientists and philosophers like him.
I have big hands and I actually did just start shooting like this. My support hand make almost 0 contact with the grip anyway. It doesnt make sense to me to take my primary hand's thumb off the grip and degrade my control.
I have massive hands and it works worse for me. Has nothing to do with hand size. Each side of the pistol should have an equal amount of contact. This prevents the barrel from being muscled side to side during fire.
explains it well, you don't want to use your thumbs because it's the strongest single part of your hand without contributing to the rest of the hands grip, and managing the dynamic tension between your hands is simpler without your thumbs adding counter-variables.
If you're still trying to "grip harder" to shoot better I pity you.

what about CAR
ur gonna hit ur target as long as the sights align and your trigger pull is good, retention seems more important than sticking ur gun as far away from your body as possible like in isosceles
I learned with thumbs crossed weaver. I recently started shooting isoceles with thumbs forward. I don't know which one is better because I haven't had much practice with the latter technique, but I think it's probably a good idea to practice both of them. In smaller guns it's sometimes hard to find good spots for all of my fingers that don't interfere with the operation of the gun somehow, though.
No, you want to pick one style and actually practice with it, that way in an emergency you don't have muddled fundamentals. It sounds corny but splits of seconds can count in a gunfight.
This. Learning to shoot one-handed provides several benefits such as presenting a smaller target, having a free hand which is helpful when on unsteady ground/platform, better angles especially with CQC room/corner clearing or shooting from cover
Yeah it takes more training to get consistent with, but that's the whole deal with handguns, and one is limiting their potential by not learning to do so
Granted, it's easier when using revolvers, especially pic related with its plow handle which makes point shooting a dream and reduces felt recoil, as the SAA was used by cavalry.

>go to a ""competition"" where your performance is evaluated by how fast you can magdump into a 3'x4' target at 7 yards
even a hoodBlack person would do well at an IDPA match
ISSF, the elite level of shooting is one handed
Also, if 20th c soldiers could use handguns with deadly precision one handed, why can’t you do the same?
First of all, I'd argue shooting positions are an almost crack science and you should just use whatever works for you. That said I'll defend using weaver.
>I saw Solid Snake do it when I was 6 >it's "outdated", which means it has SOVL so you can dab on zoomies >I have giant hands so crossing my thumbs is awkward and gives me slide bite/risk of malfunction >naturally good for people who are cross eye dominant >the body slant can substantially reduce your profile in a gun fight versus isosceles stance >body slant also makes lateral movement easier >not resting fingers by the slide makes it feel safer/more reliable to me >can bend your knee to counterbalance recoil
That's just me though. There's a biomechanical argument for every stance and position so arguing about it is autistic. Our ancestors probably outshot us with Colt 1851s one handed.
I don’t use the Isosceles stance because I’m not wearing a chicken plate.
I use Weaver and prefer teacupping. Because I don’t wear body armor, so my left arm is sacrificial if it comes to that.
I’m an oldgay. All of you body armor gays are Fake and Gay.
If I was wearing a chicken plate, I’d use what works and not really worry about some autistic “doctrine”.
Go change your gender somewhere else, Tide-pod eating homiez.
I'm newguns and just started CC'ing so I'm trying to figure it out myself. I want to put my index finger over the trigger guard "instinctively" but it doesn't translate to accurate shots from what little I've tried, I'm doing thumb forward like right side pic in OP the most and actually have decent groupings for being noguns my whole life. However it's not the most comfortable with my left index on the other side of the frame and takes me a bit to get my hands into position. I will try some other methods while I get this CZ broken in.
pistols are literally just a last resort cqb backup. learn to shoot it one handed because chances are you won’t have time, space or limbs to shoot in with both hands
Unless you’re a service member it’s stupid to carry a rifle. Not only is it as waste of space and a please steal me sign and slower to pivot into firing position, but also gets the cops called on you
Case in point Brandon herera’s cousin was a weirdo with an AR who lost his green card from that https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/wireStory/permitless-carry-laws-raise-dilemmas-police-officers-92337187
>grip pistol with one hand most of the time >since I only fire revolvers, I just have to keep my fingers clear of where the gas exits >other than that, I can have whatever grip I want >I often switch grips after firing becomes painful
I push my fingers into my ASS! CUZ IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT SLOWLY STOPS THE IIIITCH!!!!!
Underrated

Paul harrell shoots thumbs crossed, after I switched from the tacticool grip to thumbs crossed my shooting improved dramatically
Basically same story here, started bending the support arm too. Much steadier
>moronic fudd does it, so must I
Kys
This is a Paul board. Keep it moving, Black person.

>i started actually giving a frick about how i hold my gun and now my shooting has improved
Forward, crossed looks moronic
There's no damn way you're getting any contact worth a shit with your support hand thumb-side pad in grip A. Grip B, all the way.
The thumbs are not crossed in either photo
>The thumbs are not crossed in either photo
this
that's not proper thumbs crossed grip, pic related and
are
This probably works better if you have big hands.

this anon

no wonder why it works for paul harrel
My hands are average size. Maybe even below average. But I find this the most comfortable.
thumbs forward for semi autos
thumbs bent for revolvers
>left
That's more of a revolver technique
thumbs crossed is objectively wrong; so thumbs forward.
the REAL question is WEAVER stance vs ISOSCELES
what about CAR
ur gonna hit ur target as long as the sights align and your trigger pull is good, retention seems more important than sticking ur gun as far away from your body as possible like in isosceles
>CAR
GAY
There are some aspects of CAR I like. Bringing the strong side elbow down to your hip as a kinesthetic index for reloads works really well for me.
depends on the pistol
glocks - thumbs forward
berettas - thumbs crossed
Thumbs forward. It supports the left side of the pistol frame (if you are right handed). This prevents from shooting left, even under rapid fire.
Thumbs crossed achieves the same thing for me. I feel some guns point more naturally thumbs forward and others with thumbs crossed.
I learned with thumbs crossed weaver. I recently started shooting isoceles with thumbs forward. I don't know which one is better because I haven't had much practice with the latter technique, but I think it's probably a good idea to practice both of them. I try to do the Bob Vogel type grip
thumbs forward, any other way is not conducive to proper mechanics.
Do whatever is comfortable and works best for you, don't be a trend following homosexual.
Both of these look awkward. What happened to keeping your offhand under the magwell?
>What happened to keeping your offhand under the magwell?
that provides no real support
I hold it sideways but I always fire two so I have to empty them fast without aiming as arms tired
use a nice 2 handed grip and grab around the slide
Thumb over.
Don’t you get slide bite?
One hand for anything without severe recoil
Point shooting is more intuitive
Also use two hands to grip a revolver wrong and you’ll regret it

>presenting a smaller target
honestly fencing means I instinctively want to use single hand
My hands are small so I like vintage and single stack tho
this guy gets it
please go to an idpa/uspsa match and try that
match fudds are gay
>go to a ""competition"" where your performance is evaluated by how fast you can magdump into a 3'x4' target at 7 yards
even a hoodBlack person would do well at an IDPA match
You think you're on to something but anyone with a braincell looks at you with confusion and slight disgust.
Hood homiez wouldn’t be caught dead at some Honkie wannabe Suburban Commando gayFest.
Hood homiez that are still alive after a few years on the Game don’t need no frickin’ instructor.
You FEELIN’ me, homiez?
ISSF, the elite level of shooting is one handed
Also, if 20th c soldiers could use handguns with deadly precision one handed, why can’t you do the same?
>One hand for anything without severe recoil

You can do point-shooting with both hands, too, dummy.
It's called a hand gun, not handS gun
I shoot with one hand as God and John Moses Browning intended, none of this gay clumsy baby grip shit
My thumbs stack on the slide. They go up and out like a real man.
Right handed shooter.
I shoot with my left thumb wrapped over my right.
how do I cope with being a severe handlet? I have fricked up thumbs that can't even reach the mag release on a subcompact without shifting my grip.
Support thumb forward, strong thumb on the gas pedal as God intended.
First of all, I'd argue shooting positions are an almost crack science and you should just use whatever works for you. That said I'll defend using weaver.

Our ancestors unironically couldn't outshoot us. They probably had better cardio, and emotional fortitude though.
Weaver and center axis is G-D's chosen grip
Those grips look fantastic, like holding the gun sideways. There's nothing like pressing down on the mag release like a fricking moron.
My guy you don't have to play coy. You can just say you've never held a handgun.
I cut my thumbs off and use them as ear protection
Neither.
Maybe both.
It depends.
I don’t use the Isosceles stance because I’m not wearing a chicken plate.

for me it is the mobile counter infantry radar

>since I only fire revolvers, I just have to keep my fingers clear of where the gas exits
>other than that, I can have whatever grip I want
>I often switch grips after firing becomes painful
