May one of the smarter Anon's fill me in, Why doesn't Russia test a nuke somewhere? Like it doesn't even need to be a target, just test up in Nova Zembla? It would show Nato that Russia does in fact have working Nukes, and it might be enough to force Nato to back off as Nukes would be on the table for real rather then a saber rattle.

Why would NATO suddenly choose to attack Russia? Given that NATO has existed for decades and so far managed to restrain itself from starting WW3, I'd want to see at least a well-thought-out rumour explaining what has changed recently in NATO's calculations to make them think that now is a good time to kick things off.
