Shit is on, didn’t Biden beg Putin to please please please not use nukes? Kek, Putin shits in his face. Nuke Kiev with 20 Megatons, the US would do shit, I guarantee it. There would be lively debates on what to do next, but no one would go nuclear holocaust just because of Ukraine lol

Is 'America won't do shit if Russia nukes Ukraine!!1111' the new cope talking point? How stupid can you possibly be?

Yes, I have read quite a few comments like that since the Kharkiv offensive. It's too stupid even for russians, you can't allowed nuking because your petty revanchist fantasy is a failure.

Unfortunately for you vatnik, the world cannot allow a precedent for the modern use of nuclear arms against non nuclear nations, and thus whoever attempts this will necessarily be destroyed in order to discourage future attempts by other nuclear nations

Precedent was set by the US. Equal rights for all.

The Japanese attacked America, so it's not a precedent at all. By definition America was in a defensive war since both Germany and Japan declared war on them.
          You're an idiot.

Putin will have a bullet in his head before he can press the nuke button, because the people around him will know what will happen if he actually uses them

This. There's a lot of theatre that loosing = end of Russia, but thats just to scare population in supporting current regime.

So if someone in Kremlin becomes threat to regime they'll get removed.

Do you morons not get it yet, Biden is a Cold Warrior of the old fashioned kind right to his core. Man might be a doddering senile but there's one thing he will always remember, and that's to fuck Russia right in it's ass. He could be in a dementia clinic and I guarantee the only thing he will remember is the nuclear codes to attack Russia.

Sorry, but you need to take the tablets before the radiation reaches you, right?

If you are standing next to ground zero this will all be only of academic interest. The iodine is there to help your thyroid gland deal with radioactive particles. So yes, best before you are standing there covered in radioactive dust. But helpful after that moment too. it's a bit like switching from pipe smoking to filter cigarettes - it'll help, but it can't erase what you have already been exposed to.

Right, but for most of Poland there'd be many hours of warning (and that's assuming the winds were unlucky, if the wind is blowing the other way they'd have nothing to deal with at all), so the main risk is if people panic and there is no supply available. Hence why it's cheap protection to distribute upfront they last ages, might as well. But there should be plenty of time after a strike for most people to get the news and take them long before anything arrives.

Wopidoo. Iodine pills are a bestseller in Europe. Schools and hospitals and civil defence etc have stocked up on them. The govt has advised us to get some iodine as part of our readiness for years. So what's new here?

I already got 10 iodine pills, it cost 10,57€ at the drug store. Every responsible household should have some.

...not really. Yes, every responsible household should have some. But if you are above the age of 40 or so, iodine won't make much difference. If I got this right, the thyroid gland stops reacting to iodine when you get to that age. Just one more fun part of getting old. I have a packet too but not for myself.
