Have you considered getting something that you'll actually carry rather than leaving in your car to get stolen?

i work construction and wear a toolbelt all day. it would need to be something really small to work with my job

Why even bring it to work then? All you're doing is leaving something valuable in a place where it can be easily stolen while minimally secured, as you just learned. Unless you have an actual lock box to store it in, it really isn't worth it.

          >lock box
thats probably what i should invest in instead of a new small pistol. i have 3 pistols but they are fairly large and rather uncomfortable to carry on my person

Rock island armory m206. Use the black plastic grips that come with it(they require fitting they're made for the m200)

If you have any issues mention you used armscor ammo. For some fricking reason they only warranty if you tried their ammo.

    I have a PF-9, it just werks.

Not any fun to shoot though, so I don’t usually recommend it to people.

Handgun, low caliber carbine, shotgun, a cheap 22 long rifle is not your only option

A weapon is an investment like any other tool, and if you work with your rifle, it can pay for itself in time.

Aren't hi-points considered reliable for a ghetto blaster? It's just a big dumb blowback handgun.

The magazines are ass, and take some breaking in before they're reliable.
Or sometimes they're just fricked from the factory but hi point is decent enough to replace them for you.

lol That's not the same model and even then only the Brazilian domestic police model 24/7s could do that at the time, AND it was fixed back then too

Don’t know if you can get it under but the PSA dagger is probably one of the best cost to reliably ratio and will be similar to a glock.

You could just get an AR build started with a stripped lower as well, be patient and save a bit, and end up with a juicy modern rifle that you can depend on for life. You might not even need a license to do this in certain states, so your weapons won't be registered with the ATF.

maybe i should have specified that i need a pistol. other anons are saying psa dagger, but do they even make one that is subcompact?

      moron.

I paid $289 on sale for a Shield Plus, and it is a very nice gun. I cc it every day.

      >Also got superb customer service

Can confirm. The one time I had to call Hi Point to order a replacement mag release button (for a used C9 I bought that was missing one) the phone rang like two or three times and then a real person answered. She took the serial and told me they could just send me one for free, along with a trigger lock and ghost ring if I needed them. She was very friendly but professional. I checked my phone afterward and the entire call only took like three and a half minutes. All of their guns have a lifetime warranty, I've heard stories of people finding old Hi Points in a river somewhere and sending them back in and getting either a fully repaired or brand new gun. Hi Point are based as frick.

I hope they can get around to finally fricking releasing the YC-9 soon, if they can hit the ~$220 msrp like they have been saying I will unironically buy it on day one.

Part of being a responsible gun owner is making sure your gun is only used on people who deserve it you fricking moron. How are you going to feel if some Black person uses your glock in a driveby and hits and kills some random kid who was walking down the street at the wrong time? Some poor bastard wagie eating a bullet from your gun during a holdup?

It's people like you who give antis their power and frick everything up for the rest of us. Frick you.

My daily carry weapons are carried on my person, not left in my car. I bet you left your car unlocked and your gun was somewhere obvious like in the glove box or under the driver seat. Figure it out on your own.

Look for glocks in 357 sig. They don't sell well so they can be found pretty cheap. I picked up a gen 4 32 for $300 a few months ago.

    S&W shield
    Ruger ec9s
    Ruger lcp

These are all fairly small pistols for under $300. if iwb and pocket carry aren't appealing, you can get a belly-band holster.

I regretted my bersa at first because I thought it was a micro gun like a walther ppk. Didn’t know it was this big. But I’ve really come to love it. Smooth metal grip, good trigger, non existent recoil.

Whenever your firearm is not locked up or under your control disassemble it and take the barrel with you. Leave the rest in a fastfood trash bag on the floor of your car. You aren't going to want to CC a pistol while doing construction, it sucks. If you do, get a little gun with a pocket holster. I hear nothing but good things about ruger.

      >Leave the rest in a fastfood trash bag on the floor of your car
      >leave an entire gun sans barrel not even locked in car safe or the lockable glovebox

Most car break ins are done with rocks by junkies. They don’t have tools. They don’t have brains. If your car has an alarm they’re just looking to grab something of value and run. If they TOUCH your fast food bag (even just to move it) they’ll feel the weight of the gun inside and investigate. Any lockable glovebox is better. Any slim safe with a cable thru a tie down eyelet is better. Yes people with tools can defeat these in 2 seconds, but you overestimate the average window smashing monkey.

I don't know why companies make gloveboxes that can't be locked with the ignition key. It's just handy.

Ruger LCP goes for about 250 these days. Trigger's a little poorer than the LCP II (retailing for around $350) but reliability is excellent.

If you want something larger then the Beretta APX

Rock Island 206, best bang for your buck. Well under $300, and never had any issues with mine. Love the DA trigger on it too
