Sheeit, I’ve grown some 8/10 bud with nothing but 5-10 gallon air pots and a few bags of organic raised bed potting soil. Maybe next summer for my outdoor grow I’ll actually spend a buck and see what happens.
Weed can be grown VERY easily by even the worst gardeners. It’s such a beautifully forgiving plant, and so fun to raise and learn about. The first plant is always special even if you just let it grow naturally, but that next one where you learn how to top correctly and get 8+ fat colas…well…even more special.
I hate stoner culture, but growing is a true delight.

Make sure your strain isn't susceptible to bud rot if you get relatively heavy rain fall, and the finishing time doesn't push into when temps drop too much. Be ready for 8ft tall plants.

You realize it’s called WEED for a reason right? It’s an extremely hardy and durable plant that will grow literally fricking anywhere, even in a crack in the pavement. Stockpile seeds if you’re that concerned but it’s not difficult at all to grow weed. It takes some skill in cultivating to produce a 10/10 product, but even if you were in a city that got completely firebombed the ash would just provide good fertilizer for the weed. A primary reason governments gave up on prohibiting weed is its impossible to stop people from growing it if they want to, you can grow it in a fricking closet if you have dirt and some light bulbs. Stockpile literally anything else other than WEEDS which would still be growing after a nuclear holocaust.

Just stock up on HHC concentrate. It's far more stable than weed and cheaper than running a postapocalyptic weed farm.
Make hard alcohol instead. Why? A few reasons. 1. Weed makes you hungry, which really sucks when food is scarce (especially during a civil war). 2. Alcohol can disinfect wounds and sterilize equipment. 3. War is depressing as frick, people will be more than happy to trade food for booze. 4. Use it as bait for unsuspecting travelers. Leave a bottle on a trail, follow the people who take it. Wait for them to get shit faced then strike.
