It was one of the better military biographies I've read. But in fairness I don't really disagree, all biographies are just vicarious fantasies for manchildren to imagine it were happening to them.
Its not strictly a GWOT book, more of a leadership self-help thing, but I found The Mission, Men and Me to be a pretty good read.

it's a first hand account of how moronic the Navy Seals are
House to House
Thunder Run
Red platoon
Not a good day to die
Relentless strike
The chosen few
Kill Bin Laden
The outpost
Outlaw platoon
Alone at dawn
Back in the Fight
House to House >ghost written pile of shit, listen to an interview with him instead
Thunder Run >havent read it
Red platoon >good story, kinda cringe he says "WERE TAKING THIS b***h BACK
Not a good day to die >Pretty good write up
Relentless strike >Kinda good overview of SOF
The chosen few >havent read it
Kill Bin Laden >havent read
The outpost >reading a liberal wiener sucking homosexuals book
Outlaw platoon >havent read it
Alone at dawn >Navy Seals moronation - THE BOOK! This is a good read
Back in the Fight >kills himself years later
this ghost writer really fricked the story up. "As he pulled the trigger he could see the men he hit wheeling on their feet"
This dude saw some shit and went through stuff, but couldn't explain it well enough for the hack writer to type it up in a coherent way. Or do you actually believe his brain turned into a computer and he dragged and dropped his family memories in the recycling bin during combat?
Generation Kill
>Ask for books that aren't GK
>Posts GK: Behind the Scenes edition
I actually have that book and haven't read it yet. Callsign Choas is pretty good too though
It's less GK and more Fick's memoir. The events in GK are only a portion of it. It's pretty good.
Jackie Chan

>a leadership self-help thing
A a great big pile of wank, gift-wrapped for deeply insecure boys of all ages.

Breakfast with the Dirt Cult by Samuel Finlay
>Scouts Out! For Harambe
These dudes saw some action. Some Hollywood movie shit.

one million steps by Bing West
new dawn by Richard Lowry
black hearts by Jim Frederick
Are there any books about the CPA/reconstruction side of the Iraq War aside from Prince of the Marshes?
Barely, it was a colossal failure so its just people blaming each other regarding the topic.
No Joy
I remember liking this, I should give it a reread.
>the thirdie that has a hateboner for seals shows up
Did a seal snipe your dad on the Maersk Alabama or something?
Nah seals deserve some hate. As do the rest of SOF that have this meathead roider culture

The standard is 4pl8 numbnuts
