>only own HK handguns for 8 years
>absolutely no issues whatsoever
>buy pic related
>after using it for less than a year, storing it with a (fully) loaded magazine, the mag catch, which is entirely made of plastic - as is the mag body - wears down to the point mags are so loose they don't contact the slide catch on empty
>have to buy spare OEM parts off bumfrick ebay (no glockparts.net?)
and worst of all
>fudds proselytizing to load magazines down one actually vindicated for these piece of shit guns
Firearms other than HK hate thread.
why did you buy the .45 subcompact you fricking boomer moron?
Because they're great. At least, when they're made properly.
Black person
You're so full of shit it hurts.
>went to the range today
>still no license so have to rent their weapons
>”hmmmm last time I used a Beretta 98, might as well try a glock”
>can’t really remember the model, it was 9x21 cause lollaws
>3 feed failures
>2 eject failures
all in 50 rounds
I’ll admit I liked the trigger better than the ‘retta tho
forgot to mention
>at least 3 misfires
>one time, the magazine fell out (yes I did insert it properly and I only loaded it with 10rds max)
>can’t really remember the model, it was 9x21 cause lollaws
Where is this, Mexico or something?
Italy
>9x21, mentions Beretta 98
99.999% chance he's Pastastani. Mexicans would just use .38 stupid in the most gaudy 1911 with the mother mary engraved in gold inlay on the side.
>.001% chance of losing
>loses
how does it feel
>how does it feel
Could be Italy. Lots of 9x21 because 9x19 is a military round or something? Lots of pasta slingers in Spaghetti-land.
Yes, though I think the triggers feel like ass, I usually get better groups with glocks than my HKs. Follow up shots too. The reliability is dubious, but what really worries me is the contrast between their reliable reputation and their track record of unreliability
>I’ll admit I liked the trigger better than the ‘retta tho
GlonkTM triggers are mush for days. How was the Beretta trigger that bad?
>beretta trigger bad
his hands are small
my hands are actually fricking massive
it just felt like the beretta had a MUCH heavier pull, that’s all
maybe it was more the fact that it was my first time shooting a non 22lr pistol
true, but then again both of them were beat up range rentals, yet only the glawk had issues
another thing: I found the slide too smooth to operate properly
on one of the jams, I found it particularly slippy
granted it was scorching hot and my hands might’ve been sweaty, but then again so it was when I used the beretta and I didn’t find any issue with its slide ergonomics, despite the sweat
t. Handlets
Unironically range rentals are fricking filthy
They never clean them ever
I rarely have issues on guns I buy unless they're cheapo mystery meat shit and I know that going in
browning action pistols that can't run dirty are an insult to the former and should be discarded
Only pistol I ever owned was a glock 19 until police stole it from me. Next time I get a pistol it will be a sub compact glock or a taurus snub nose
>piggies took your glawk
Damn. how did that happen
I genuinely dont believe you. Been using Glocks almost daily for 6 years and the only time I observed an issue was when a hillbilly armorer fricked one up.
You MUST upgrade a Glock if you expect anything close to reasonable quality. The mag catch is the biggest piece of shit on the gun, and really the way the mags are designed entirely. No other manufacturers do plastic coated mags for a reason, that's a stupid and fricking unnecessary idea. The mags are also improperly sized, you can never run them reliably unless they're downloaded by 1-2 rounds. Glock mags always have to be assrammed into the gun and barely seat, giving the deadly false seating error where the mag drops out after your first shot because they didnt seat. The plastic on plastic also wears down. I'm not sure why more people don't address this fatal flaw.
yeah my first impression after getting the gun was that as cheap as it was ($500,) I felt like it should have cost $200. Again I'm still using and carrying mine, but glocks honestly are pieces of shit, the AK of handguns. Just glad my first handguns were actually good, proper expectations- feel terrible for those who started on glocks
I think they've made significant improvements on quality since gen 3. Gen 3 were garbage, felt like hi point or sccy tier plastic. Just a shit tier gun with plastic sights and plastic literally everywhere they could put it, and it felt cheap and the machining was low quality. Gen 4 improved the plastic feel a bit and machining improved. Gen 5 the machining improved drastically. The US made Gen 5's, I cant spot a damn flaw on them. The machining is excellent. The made in Austria ones aren't as high quality, we probably got new tooling whereas Austria is using older tooling. It was a noticeable difference between the 2 Gen 5s that I owned. The front serrations they added are garbage, they're too aggressive and tear up holsters. The features also still suck ass. Still the plastic mag release, plastic mags, plastic sights, and mag release only on one side. I also think they should just add a fricking safety at this point. They have every different size and shape, why not give the option of a safety in case I want to pocket carry a .380?
and this is why I went with the M&P 2.0 C. Metal magazines are a must to me, Ive heard of people having to switch their mag release on glocks to the opposite side because of plastic on plastic wearing down over time. Not to mention Glock using plastic guide rods, giving you shit plastic u sights even with Gen 5s, never really doing anything innovative and just pushing their same design and not listening to customer constructive criticism. If Glocks were $299 then maybe I would have considered it more as an option. But frick no, there are too many reasons to stay away from them. Have also heard of plenty of malfunctions and even exploding glocks, and the limp/ injured wrist shooting malfunctions specific to GLock
lmao
I have respect for Glock in the fact that they paved the way for polymer handguns. The blocky plastic chunk of shit was once great, but alas pretty much all other gun companies have surpassed them in more ergonomic, more robustly built polymer handguns.
>You MUST upgrade a Glock if you expect anything close to reasonable quality
Or just buy an APX
All Glock competitors are just upgraded Glocks, and almost all of them are mechanically better guns.
I went with the FNS9 and won't buy an FN again. The gun is extremely feature rich, polished steel mags, metal locking points, the mag release buttons are even metal, and on both sides. Great sights standard, good front serrations, 1913 rail instead of thr gay Glock overbite nub. But FN fricked up some things on it and had to do a recall, which they don't actually honor. I've contacted them several times to repair mines firing pin to get rid of the shake fire issue (extremely dangerous, but difficult to actually make happen). They don't respond or stop responding before actually sending me a shipping label. They have complete shit customer service in every other regard as well. The first recall, it was the same story. This is the second time they've had a safety recall for that gun and both times they gave me the run around and refused to let me send it in for repair. I will never buy an FN again, they made the 509 look gay anyway.
I considered FNS9 but it seemed like it had some quirks and issues and was a bit overpriced. I also saw that FN had a polymer problem causing squishy rubber grips instead of solid strudy polymer grips. Happy I went with the M&P 2.0 C 4 Inch. feels great in the hand, solidly built, not great but decent trigger (which also passed GT frozen pistol test) and can also be replaced with an Apex if so desired. Ready to go out of the box with steel sights. Payed like 150+ less than I would have had I bought a G19 Gen5
I pretty much consider the US south close to a 3rd world country and avoid buying guns from there like I wouldn't buy shit from Brazil or Turkey. They're cheap, scammy, and buttholes when you actually need customer service over a quality control issue or legitimate safety recall that they've already agreed to. Thr US has a culture of cheapness and ripping people off, and southerners are just arrogant buttholes about it.
Where are you from?
tbh the US is a lot more third world than I expected so I'm not surprised modern US made guns are often shit.
I picked up one of the last italian made ones in my area for a song. Frick me, that was a great purchase.
cope
You motherfrickers are stupid as frick, ive never had a glock jam on me nor did i ever change anything on my glock, clean your gun properly and it will always function perfectly, glock is good
I could post some 85 videos where police officers indeed did have a Glock jam on them. Bodycams kind of killed the Glock reliability myth.
Not really since Glocks are pretty much all police use. And the videos where they use other shit like M&Ps, Walthers, etc. they jam at a disproportionately high rate compared to Glocks.
I've seen m&p's fail too for the record, but nothing jams as much as Glocks in those videos.
Zona
>nothing jams as much as Glocks in those videos.
Does anything get used as much as Glocks in those videos?
Do you not realize your circular questioning is a coping mechanism? Your favorite prodooct sucks ass and you don't want to admit it despite piles of evidence proving it. I want to like Glocks too but damn, there's a limit. Shitting the bed that hard and that often in gunfights goes beyond just user error, the design is flawed.
That's not a pile of evidence, those are individual data points. You need to account for the population size moron. They could have the most videos of failures in police shootings of any handgun and still be the most reliable semi-automatic handgun.
Find 85 videos of cops using something other than a Glock first.
link me 1/10th of those, I dare you
Pics or it did not happen.
>another anti-glock fudd shill thread
Don't you get bored after the 100th time?
A lot of fudds do carry glocks these days. You wouldn't post about this topic with your only source of knowledge being memes, right?
I literally EDC a riced-out Shield like a ghetto rocket surgeon and I've never had a single failure, this happens with modern guns?
i've seen glocks simmer in shit in the desert for weeks and get pulled out then shoot that moment with no problems. 45 is a great caliber, but not for ccw.
why would you accept anything but the best…
I've already got one
The USP has never been the best at anything, save parting obese morons from their money.
ehhh I like both . Glock’s slide finish is better than H&K though
lies and damn lies, if you want to shill HK go for it, awesome guns. But, after tens of thousands of rounds through 3 Glocks I can say I've litterally zero failues except for bad ammo. My 17 Gen 3 has never failed to fire period. I keep all of my mags loaded all of the time, OEM mags do not fail to feed. You stupid homosexual.
damn you're emotional
>9mm
oh nevermind
>don’t ever insult my favorite corporate products!
>also homophobic
Get off my /k/
homosexual
I don’t even own a genuine glock. I am a Polymer80 shooter.
I do own a glock and I do want an HK. Becaude why not both ? Is it not the /k/ spirit btw ?
