Glock 45 and 19 are my favorites. IMO the Glock 45 is the better full size option over the 17. It's especially better if you're using a red dot and/or a compensator.
Prefer the 17, because I always use a TLR 1 on my full size guns and so the overall length is gonna be longer, so I might as well get the additional barrel length.
If I were a compensator sort of guy I might consider a 45, but my experience with comps has been mostly negative.
Strike Industries Mass Driver on a Gen3 19. Gave me failure to return to battery and failure to feed issues. I might have been able to solve those with tinkering with recoil spring weights and ammo selection, but the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.
I've also used an Armory Craft comp on a P320, which similarly gave me FTF malfs. Just not convinced of their worth, especially when I don't really see improvements in my split times. I'm not a super slick 0.2 sec split shooter or anything, so I don't really see the need for a comp.
If you’re not reloading and using very gassy propellant you’re not going to have any gas to actuate the comp’s ports.
Factory ammo definitely doesn’t rock enough gas and most comp designs are very bad and are acting more as just match weights.
Is it not, tho ? At least in 9 mil. Full capacity and full size grip for maximal confort (G19 grip is too small), short slide so you can add a threaded barrel and barrely reach the size of a regular 17, basically a modern gen 5 with better trigger and better barrel and finish overall quality. Available in MOS + threaded out of the box. The best of all worlds basically. Only downside : it doesnt have the metal sights of thé 19x out of the box.

>How do you feel about the 45?
Pretty good actually. MOS threaded barrel.
I ask because my buddy just bought one for $1300 (two barrels, Holosun, etc.) and raved about it
holy shit it better of came with another 45 for $1300. that's insane
It was basically the price of mine brand new without any add-on. Yurup yey.
Love my 45 simple as

Negative? How so?
Which comps on which models?

homie you always have to change recoil spring weight if you put on a muzzle device, if you don’t, the comp isn’t doing anything

>parts bin mix and match Glock
there's cannibalizing a design and then there's Glock's R&D department
wanker's
The grip on the 17 is the part that’s least concealable IMO so a shorter slide is no biggie.
I think it's neat. But my autism doesn't allow me to own it.
IMO it's ass backwards but I handled one recently and it felt pretty nice so if it fits someone's needs I can see why they'd go for it.
This was my first gun unironically, I'm a new shooter. Also who makes the best threaded barrel for this gun? I've heard good thinks about kkm
First gun I ever shot, I like it.
my uncle has one and its neat shoots just like any other glock but the compact slide with full size frame is more of a gimmick to me tbh
i think it's the best glock.

the G45 is great but the 19x has a better trigger and I have no idea why
