Get rid of dichondra

Hi, my lawn was diagnosed with dichondra here in /diy some time ago. By chance, I managed to nuke it with a fertilizer containing iron - iron seems to be burning its leaves. But I guess I need to constantly apply it, because it just comes up again, not to mention the PIA of trying to cover every single leaf. I tried some herbicide containing 2,4-D, MCPA, Mecoprop-P & Dicamba, which I put into my sprinklers when we were away (1 week), but it didn't do anything, I guess it got diluted, altho the bottle was for double the area. I will order bottle and try with a manual spray.
I am honestly getting pissed off at this shit and will soon pull out everything, remove the top layer and then pick micro clover or some other shit needing less care.
All input appreciated!

Forgot to say, it's also a PIA to pick it by hand (pic rel).
The last thread advised to get shadow grass, which should take over everything, but so far it hasn't (couple of months in)

Why do you not like it?

I prefer my grass without it

Not trolling, why do you care? Does it hurt the grass? My yard is about half weeds, half grass, and the other half moss. Anything is better than bare dirt to me.

I'd love to have a lawn that looked like your first pic, and I would not mind this latest pic. Again, is there a valid reason for not liking it other than that you were told to not like it? It doesn't steal bikes or anything like that does it.

I know, it's a fair question - just don't like it, I prefer a clean lawn. Especially at the speed that thing is spreading.

not yet, this still doesn't answer my initial question

Hey it's green and it's growing. Works for a lawn!

I purposely planted dichondra because it grows in shade and needs little mowing.

I mean it can be killed with the crappiest of weed killer so...

yeah, that's my plan if I can't get rid of all the shit in the lawn - give up to the D (or micro clover). Think both attract bees and shit, not optimal for the kids.

Bees are good though, way better than the weed killer.

This is insane. I'm amazed to see helicopter parenting idiocy here. DON'T GO OUT AND PLAY TODAY JOHNNY, I SAW A BEE GATHERING POLLEN.

this is a little far fetched, our garden is surrounded with laurel bushes, which are swarming with bees/wasps/etc all the time and we are ok with it.

I just want a clean lawn, don't care if it attracts bees

Stop spraying chemicals on your lawn you piece of shit. If something grows more successfully than moronic grass, let it
