Gear in Ukraine: "Temp-3000" Female Armor

Ukraine's MOD has finalized certification of a second body armor kit for women. Testing was conducted over 3 months in 2 stages. First stage: practical wear testing and feedback. Second stage: lab testing. Though this is stated nowhere explicitly, the newly certified items are from Temp3000's Corsair 3M* line. This is a female cut of standard-issue armor from an established supplier, with adjustments to soft inserts, shape, and a few things like that. On one hand, the chest isn't curved, so it might not be as suitable as Ruta Lyuta for some women. Other hand, you know you can order these for your skinny b***hes and all your usual attachments, pouches, etc. will work fine out of the box.

Ukraine's MOD also disclosed production capacity figures: Ukrainian Armor (Ruta Lyuta) can do 10k sets in 60–90 days. Temp3000 (Corsair) can do 5k sets per month. This is interesting because it suggests that many more women can be uparmored than just those in frontline roles. What would you go with? Other than the elegant solutions like "muh dick" and "invisinuntium"

The company's founder is a character. One of those guys whose response to being squeezed by corrupt politicians and bureaucrats is to flip the table and then find more tables to continue flipping them, until finally either the government changes or everyone is too exhausted to hound him anymore.

The gist is that his company was hit by a very dedicated smear campaign, back when they were the main supplier for Ukraine's military and it was in the interests of russia and 5th columnists to push agitprop about everything in Ukraine's military being corrupt, being shit, being a show put on at the behest of westoid globohomosexual overlords.

Individually issued equipment is a big ticket opportunity for graft in military procurement, because it's constantly being reissued. So you often see innocuous items like boots and basic uniform items turning into oligarchic fiefdoms. The undermining, smear campaigns, and assorted tricks probably worked dozens of times before. They fricked up with this guy though, because his response to attempts to replace his contracts, not pay for gear, etc. was roughly: "My gear was good enough for Iraq deployments. It was good enough for UN deployments. Now you shit gurgling nobodies want to say it's not good enough for domestic deployments? You want to falsify ballistic tests and force me out? Frick YOU, Baltimore Oblast. That's right, frick YOU. Frick me? Frick YOU. Fight me IRL pidor"

Ukrainian politics were seen a safe haven for oligarchs because they'd get into politics to avoid getting their shit investigated.
This created cliques where they'd use political power to get their rivals investigated because they knew about each others' dirt, and even if they had nothing on someone they could create bullshit charges to start investigations. So suddenly they weren't that safe no more.
For example Yulia Timochenko, the politician the EU was trying to get released for years and was wheeled into the stage during the 2014 Euromaidan, was Yanukovych's political rival. But as far as everyone knew she kept her nose clean during her political stint so she was charged for corruption on the basis that - get this - she signed a gas deal beneficial to Russia. The guy who was the Putin stooge in Kiyv accused his political rival of being a Putin stooge to get her locked up.

        Very interesting.

How does it typically work for regular guys who try to make a good business and company get squeezed? What can they do to fight back? Shouldn't he be getting special protection from zelensky or the military because hes making shitton of good armor for its people and be considered of great military importance?

Couldn't someone say, "hey some rando russian dude who may or may not be military or fsb bought some armor from this company and so you support putin! Lock him up!" Or just claim that without any proof to frick over opponent?

How does anyone even start up a successful business there r make a decent living without having some scumbag frick you over and take your shit or ruin you?

Your entire post is about Russia. Certainly such things happen in Ukraine, but no where near to the degree you assume. Most business is legit. When it does happen, corruption is about avoiding taxes (bless their hearts) and paying off officials to get paperwork ignored/done faster. Not about buying a hit on the competing horilka and salo supplier.

It is worse the further east you go - I wonder why.

Everything in your post happens in Russia.

Most of it doesn't happen in Ukraine.

The posts you were replying to had a Tony Starkovyuk supplying a solid product to a nation Russia planned to invade, so they did everything to undermine him and his business. When a hostile nation's glowBlack folk try to end you and make your business go under - this is not regular corruption. Meanwhile, your post makes it sound you would be hesitant to open a lemonade stand or to sell dragon dildos online for fear of having local adidas tracksuits shaking you down.

Not really. Only thing that makes long term sense is banning feminism and forcing all women to have 10+ kids. You get five male soldiers out of that deal and five women who have 50 kids combined. Zerg rush in a few generations, amazing economy because all value is based labor.

It's a minor topic, no doubt.

temp-3000 has some interesting plates. They are the only company openly showing they have a III+ that stops M995, pretty neat.Them and Hyperion are the only ukranian armor companies Ive heard of, but Hyperion has absolutely no web presence. Their stuff seems VERY cool, apparently some of their plates use a titanium layer between strikeface and backer.

Part of that is because of the stigma against made-in-ukraine armor until recently. Things are changing, but people still want to hear about foreign materials and lab ratings. So you have stuff like Velmet advertising their plates by mentioning swedish steel.

        Anonymous

I wouldnt call it a stigma, just lack of any web presence. Same issue as any armor company beside civilian facing ones. Its a real shame, because there are plenty of cool companies around the world making armor. See my attached picture, its as much info (some of it incorrect no doubt) on Hyperion as exists on the ENTIRE internet.

          Anonymous

I meant stigma in ukraine's domestic market. They have had 30 years of post-soviet frickery to reduce their consumer confidence.

          >Hyperion

gq is the best place by far, and any information that can be found would be appreciated: weight, thickness, composition, threats stopped, years of introduction, the designers favorite color, anything. A complete win would be a product catalog, but I dont think thats a very realistic request.

I've gotta do some things irl but I have some basic company info I should rattle off now in case I forget:

              - Hyperion is the product line's name
              - I have no idea what, if any, relationship there is to the distributed-by-strike-industries brand called Hyperion
              - The company's name is Safari Defense
              - There are multiple websites, chaotic situation overall
              - A search like "гiпepioн плити" should get you the surface-level stuff
              - The founder is Vadym Shumakov
              - Til checking on this rn, I only knew him as someone working on USVs
              - Apparently he grew up in chernobyl
              - Favorite color to be determined

I can't help but feel this could all be avoided if we just didn't send women to war.

Its not even that, Ukraine doesn't need to do it; theyre doing it for the PR like Israel does. Theyve got 700k troops including reserves, of which only ~40k are women. Its just not necessary, it probably never was but especially for the last year+ where Russia has lost all their decent tech and are scraping the barrel for personnel.

Ukraine, like most Western nations, has a disproportionally higher number of women who're trained as nurses which means they're prime recruits for field medic since they're knowledgeable enough to stabilize a patient without being so important that they should be back home in a hospital. Providing better armor for them is a good thing, since they're much less replaceable then an average soldier.

            This
A lot of Uke women are deployed as medics and it's a good noncombat role for them to be in, BUT they do come under fire and need protection. Additionally, the fire is usually shelling not gunfire so basic body armour does in fact help a lot without getting into autistic requirements of ballistic plates etc
            Another area is logistics management.

They're probably higher then the US losses in Vietnam, so yes, you can say they are astronomically high. But how would you define russian losses then?

Nice to see Ukraine putting all that free money to good use instead of the embezzling and frivolous mediagenic bullshit.

We were also told that meat armor doesn't work, and yet that tank was fine after an RPG peeled the layer of mobik liner over the top of the engine compartment.

The number for Temp3000 is their standard production capacity on a product line. The number for Ukrainian Armor is likely the same.

I knew this before posting. I wrote it like I did because that's how Ukraine's MOD wrote it, and because I wanted you to bump my thread.

    You are playing negative-dimensional chess.

There is a video of a blond ukie girl with tattoos who got injured in the face by artillery shrapnel. She fits Marichka more than the drone girl but I got banned when I posted the video.

It looked relatively minor but I suspect required stitches.

Too bad. I'm curious to see what this "irl Marichka" looks like now.

A mix of drone girl and the other one would get us there, or close enough

Oh is this the face of winning ? Or a new nato tactic ? Man hope they draft only ugly and shitskinned ones tho.

The awkwardness of "hope of winning," the space before the question mark, and "shitskinned" are decent effort. But ESLs don't have casual mastery of PRO drop:
