Garbage recycler?

I am not a science major, but what exactly would a garbage recycler machine the size of a car need to have in order to refine waste material such as used plastics, used cardboard/paper, and maybe glass?

And would it be possible to refine dogshit, dead bugs, or food waste to be used as some sort of fuel material? Perhaps something that can digest the waste and use the byproduct of something like I've heard of pigshit/cowshit being refined into methane?

You must be an arts major. Maybe communications.

This is impractical and stupid. Maybe read a bit about how recycling works and about economies of scale and you’ll understand a bit about why the waste goes to the recycler and not the other way around.
But who are we kidding, you aren’t gonna read. If you were you would’ve spent 10 minutes researching and realized this was stupid instead of coming here and asking people to spoonfeed you the solution to a very complex problem

      >how recycling works
you ship it to a 3rd world country and mark an x next to the "Recycled: " field on the paper

In my are we have foregone the shipping part and just dump it in landfills, literally a not my problem case, the dump is also upstream in the mountains and the possibly garbage infused toxic water flows from my village to the city and eventually joins a majour river

There was a guy who solved this problem, literally a machine with garbage in and inert material out. Used plasma arching. The problem is it required a lot of power, and we don't have free public power (yet).

Ask Lockheed-Martin. Those israelites could tell you a thing or two.

But why? Just incinerate it and use the power from the incineration, like we already do.

These all require different methods that require a lot of space. You might be able to fit one in your theoretical machine but not all. You'd also need some sort of sorting as well.

Most trash operations require separating out components
You literally can't do that in a small place.

Maybe you could have a nig trailer and an industrial chopper/compacter and make unified garbage cubes andnthen create some way to process your average cube. Weigh it and create a market for them. Store them for a fee. Capture rare earth's and burn the rest for power.

They exist, it's called a 'Waste to energy' plant. They are about the size of a small shipping container. The fuel output is electricity. The waste outputs are water vapor, carbon dioxide, and some waste ashes, metals, and other landfill-destined materials that are a fraction of the input.

with a mass spectrometer you can recycle anything! All you need is massively abundant nuclear power for breaking materials into constituent atoms!

You really don't need nuclear power for that

There are already companies that use multi spectral cameras to sort waste. Magnets can pull iron out. Still, a lot is just filthy and ill suited for recycling, so you are left with burning most of it.

Works better if you put a blower on it. Then you get the hot flames that incinerate everything.

Did you think this was funny? Was it really meant to entertain? Or were you looking for attention? Here's your (YOU).

I'm not offended. I'm not laughing, either: Your sense of humor is missing, it needs work.

I'm curious, why is it people like you who have little to no understanding of the actual problem propose any solution to it? That's literally the definition IMO of someone who's dumb/ignorant as shit.
