I love drywall. I love sanding and wiping a paste over every seam 2-5 times. I love putting up zip walls and filling rooms with a haze of white dust. I love concrete. I love breathing silica dust. I love paying 6x as much for a cement mix that does anything beyond the most basic purpose. I love buying muriatic acid to clean up anywhere cement accidentally dripped. I love carying 5 gal buckets up a ladder. I love trying to screed and just tearing fresh cement into a mess. I love plumbing. I love water leaking through special designed fittings. I love gaskets leaving a tiny space for water to spill through and ruin cabinets. I love old broken dishwashers failing mechanically, electrically, and leaking everywhere. I love the flooring installer trapping the new dishwasher under the counter tops behind an inch of new flooring and the electrician not installing outlets for the appliances. I love the plumbers skipping installing the escutcheons on every other shower and bath fitting. I love trim installers shooting the longest brad nails where ever they want with no thought process. I love homeowners penny pinching and demanding top of the line at the same time.

i enjoyed that immensely. thank you. I “enjoy” those too.
The other day a dishwasher arced a bit when wired in and developed a software glitch after that. Something else to look forward to.

      > hate wooden doors
You should try institutional metal doors. If you think wooden doors are a problem, you’ll burst a vein hanging steel doors in steel frames set in concrete, it’s the most unforgiving shit you can imagine.

I have a strong aversion towards wood. I find it challenging to work with and prefer alternative materials. The sight of trees doesn't particularly appeal to me, and I'm not fond of the smell of sawdust or the inconvenience of getting splinters. I'm also aware of the potential issues like mold and termites that can affect wood. Additionally, I'm not a fan of the various creatures and plant life associated with trees, such as birds, rodents, and lichen. Pine cones and acorns don't capture my interest either. As for woodworking tools, they aren't my personal preference, including lathes, jigsaws, planers, jointers, chisels, and gouges. While I acknowledge the versatility of wood glue, I don't particularly enjoy the scent. In general, I feel there are alternative materials that can outperform wood in various applications. However, I understand that different individuals have different preferences and perspectives.
