Fish and wildlife officer

Is it a good job? I’d like to work outdoors and I already have a bunch of ranger green gear, I saw a officer walk into a grocery store in full tactical kit but was too dumbfounded to ask him if I can bring my own stuff to work

This, and the park rangers at the park closest to me spend their time dealing with c**t cyclists who think they are Lance Armstrong and tourists doing moronic shit and starting shit with the regular locals.

I'd rather pick Peter Sagan as my cyclist to emulate.

even if you are getting paid why would you willingly want to be a Jannie dealing with morons, making the forest a lame bureaucratic shithole and potentially getting shot by a poacher

My dad is fish and game, been so for over twenty years and loves it. It's a job that is really hard to get into, you pretty much need an inside reference to get the job.

I had to stop watching shows involving 'outdoor law' because it was just homosexuals ticketing ATVers and elderly

This. Those c**ts literally just play hall monitor at the boat ramp and trailheads making sure everyone is registering their toys and paying the israelites their taxes. Then they go out and harass the frick out of hunters that haven’t done shit wrong. I remember one episode they heard about three brothers all shooting bucks the same day.
      >Sounds fishy
      >Must investigate
      >Make them drive an hour away and walk them a mile into the woods
      >We don’t see any blood trail
      >Well here’s my arrow officer
      >Hmmmmmmmmmmm
      >Well get them next time
And another one where some hippy homosexual released a coyote caught in someone’s trap and got bit in the process then fled the state (homosexual was from Chicago). He should have sent him a fine in the mail and informed the guys local health officials of a possible rabies exposure. Pricks do their job when it’s convenient and raises money for the state but they don’t do frick all when it comes to protecting hunters and trappers.

If you love the outdoors, go for it. It's one of the most PrepHole choices available. Also look into environmental technician, conservation biology (many 2 year college programs), forestry, ecosystem management technician, etc. If you want to be outside do what you can to be there.

Game wardens aren't bad. I have one that I let hunt my land and he looks the other way on things. Pretty dangerous job honestly, what if you stumble across an illegal grow 20 miles into a national park? The local guy carries a rifle and 3 backup pieces
