They were clumping together smashed-arse units from the Kiev front into all sorts of mish-mashed units up that way. So it really could be from damn near anyone sent in as a replacement
>Kharkiv has been the abandooners magnum opus, more than Kyiv.
I don't even understand this. Judging by the amount of pretty good equipment abandooned in the Balakleya-Izyum area, they basically had enough forces to fight the 2 Ukrainian mechanized brigades pretty easily. Maybe they were caught off guard (a lot of the vehicles have rail transportation numbers still on them, so perhaps they were sent into a meeting engagement right after disembarking from their rail cars?).
This shows how low their morale really is and how easily the Vatniks take flight when a flag is planted behind their lines by cheeky SF c**ts from Ukraine.
Any, I hope there's a REALLY good reconstruction of this operation at some point. Textbook operation by Ukraine, as they were able to translate an operational success into a STARTEGIC one.
the 1st guards didn't have the time to prepare themselves and were in an incredibly risky position of being cut off and destroyed against what was at the time an unknown but seemingly overwhelming force. it's crazy they didn't destroy their more advanced systems or do other sabotage prior to retreating but it sounds like they were still getting ready to bail when the ukranians entered the area they were in so they just dropped everything and fled.
Idk, I would assume that elite tank battalion with the best equipment would at least try to break that encirclement. I mean that's kinda a purpose of a tank batallion, no?
Yes, you would think the premier maneuver unit which in their doctrine was to either break through HATO lines on the offense or organise counter-attacks on HATO spearheads would be able to do what it was supposedly trained to do
I would assume that elite battalion would make some attempt to not abandoooon T-90M fully intact.
Seriously if you dont have any dedicated explosives kit and there are no friendly tanks/at weapons nearby just throw a grenade inside or even take a fricking hammer and smash everything inside to make glowies work harder.
Lack of leadership most likely. Also maybe Russian propaganda has turned against them, and they really believed that all of NATO was on the way towards them.
Oh, they already captured several Shtoras? Well, nevermind then.
Because you have to make an important consequential desicion. But you dont want to so you pretend that you didnt have to. "I thought we could repair it" is the obvious one, sort of assumed you trusted that everything will be fine. Just imagine being abandoneer who burned the tank because of damaged track and ukies never showed up. In this case you assuming you are fricked, while in fact you are showing your blackpilling and/or cowardnes.
I remember in a thread a few days ago several anons who served in western militaries said they had scuttling procedures drilled into their skulls, the fact the first T-90M loss was scuttled by another tank in the column was a miracle.
Think it got a better gun, much better fire control, it drops smoke if you lase it, remote turret for the machinegun and a fair bit of other gear got poured into it from various sources. Like they did most of that stuff only about 2-3 years ago to some before sanctions fricked their upgrade programs. So its more or less a very modern upgrade to one of their better tanks.
Its quite a prize to take an intact one
They only have 100 or so in service (down a few since the war began). Russia's modernised vehicles that have been captured have so far been appreciated by the Ukrainians but they (Russians) only have so few of them cus budget and production capacity.
Plus western glowies get an opportunity to go over the most recent tank Russia can actually field.
Well, it has a panoramic thermal sight for the commander, which gives it a hunter-killer capability (something standard on Western tanks since the late 80s) and theoretically should enhance its situational awareness and ability to detect and hit targets.
It has slightly better ERA (which protects against anti-tank missiles) and an auxiliary power unit which would allow the vehicle to be stationary and operational without running it's main engine. And that's about it.
The most important upgrade which it did NOT receive is an active-protection system, so it's basically marginally better than things like the T-72B3 (pic rel).
>Well, it has a panoramic thermal sight for the commander,
this is huge,
We live in an era where having thermals is what separates competent, mission capable force from something that might as well be from fricking world war 1.
Your eyesight is dogshit and counts for nothing, thermals are only thing you can use to spot enemy and kill them before they ever knew they were in a combat zone.
And ukies have shitton of them cause unlike snow nigeria west has had multible generations of thermals and has dumped all the obsolete trash onto ukies.
T-72B3 and T-80BVM don't have a panoramic commanders sight. Their commander's sights are infact unchanged from what they had in the 80s. All they have is a repeater of the Gunner's primary SOSNA-U sight like we had in the M1 tanks in the 80s.
There is one exception which there are a few images of modified T-72B3 for the tank biathlon which have a commander's panoramic sight being used in Ukraine now
https://twitter.com/RALee85/status/1566934043245035520
That is a T-72B3. Notice the manually operated TC TKN-3M sight with a small IR searchlight?
And the Sosna-U gunner's sight protecton is manually bolted on/off as opposed to the T-90M's remotely controlled.

It's the most modern russian tank. A supposed rival to M1a2, leopards merkavas etc all the ultramodern current tanks.
IT's the absolute best russia can do in terms of something that isn't a parade float like t14.
It's literally a t72 with what rest of the world considers early 90s tech and if you factor in corruption it has explosive reactive armor without the explosive or reactive part and its composite armor might just be steel with some holes where composite material might go to.
its very rare - last Russian tank type that Ukies did not capture in working order till now - (armata is legendary tier with rest of one off "objekt-xxx" prototypes)
It's the Russians' most modern tank, apart from a handful of T-14's which have only ever been seen at parades. It was only publicly revealed in 2017 and as there were less than a hundred of them, they were issued solely to elite units like the Moscow-based 4th Guards Tank Division.
The fact the elite of the Russian army routed when attacked by light motorized units, and abandoned their equipment intact, is a VERY worrying sign for the Russians.
If it had been LPR/DPR conscripts or Rosgvardia riot cops who panicked, leaving behind a bunch of shitty T-62s, that would be one thing. But this was the 1st Guards Tank Army and what they abandoned was the "good stuff".
why the frick wouldn't they drop 2-3 nades in the fricking thing if your clearly abandoning it to the enemy.
Russians don't have initiative
If there's no order to sabotage equipment - they're not gonna do it
If an officer orders a withdrawal without explicit details - they'll just leave
>Be me, tank driver >Hot day today >In fact has been hot entire week >No shower for a long time >"Blyat, turn on the fans" >All fans broken, except the C&B fan >Cool breeze on my Kremlin domes >Smell hits me immediately >Tank starts filling with the potent, thick miasma of fermented dick cheese, unwashed/unwiped asscrack and stale piss >All hatches closed because of drones, except the commander's >Commander flees in terror, hatch slams shut behind him >Hatch rusted, won't budge >Not like this... >Hohols find another undamaged tank >Only find a few corpses with gunshot wounds to the temple
No, it activates the defense system against radiation produced by the emitters of Zelenskiy's femboy conversion Doomsday Device. Due to a small bit of cost-cutting during production, this system instead amplifies the signal's strength by 1 order of magnitude.
>"antifriza"
The frick? Why are they using a Russified version of the English term?
Had Russians never used antifreeze until they received it via lend-lease from the US?
Yeah, aнтифpиз is a basic term for motor coolant in russian, while the verbatim translation нeзaмepзaйкa is usually used for below-zero-C rated windshield cleaner.
The same as 'xerox' in russian is the basic term for any photocopy machine and the process itself.
>The same as 'xerox' in russian is the basic term for any photocopy machine and the process itself.
That one isn't that surprising. IIRC, back when they were a top dog in the industry, the Xerox Company fought hard and paid loadsamony in lobby gibs, in order to prevent the average dude from using 'xerox' as shorthand for photocopy.
IIRC If your name becomes common word you can lose trademark protection.

>This Unit which was called and which still calls itself the 1st Guards Tanks Army was in no way Guards quality, nor possesses tanks, and now not an army.
it increases unit morale during non-combat time, as well as morale during full blown combat, die soldaten are more likely to put themselves in direct fire threat to protect der cato
>This is what the Ukranian tankie/owner of the channel had to say about the T-90M

Anybody follow any Russians on youtube? This one dude I watch that lives right out of Moscow is saying a shit storm is brewing and change is about to come. Of course he has to watch what he says, but basically pointed out all the weird little things thats been happening. Like Kadyrov leaving and coming back. the mayor of moscow has disappeared and went silent. The day that leaders kept going on TV saying "There is no panic, everything is fine." Basically he says watch russia for the next week or 2 cause shits going down
Only one I've followed a little is the 1420 channel, I have no idea how they haven't been gulag'ed yet. Its a little reassuring some of them know just how truly hard the bollocking is out there and might be able to prep a little for some hard times.
He just said too that you can tell with Putins body language, that he's shook. Basically talked about how confident he was in the past. But looked like a simp next to Xi and Indian prime minister a few hours ago
Oh yeah I've watched Konstantine a couple of times. Kind of cranky he didn't pack his shit and leave when the getting was good, but I kind of understand as an older fella with a family that's not something you can do.
I still pray he'll be ok
yah I'm surprised he didnt leave either. this is the bravest he's been in a video yet. he's always refrained in the past. hopefully he doesnt get his door kicked in after this one
>Basically he says watch russia for the next week or 2 cause shits going down
I hope it doesnt, lend lease is kicking in gear in 2 weeks (haha) and I want to see ukies roll on Moscow and the whole Russian Federation balkanized
Has anyone drawn up a list of all the unique dardy shit that's been captured and (most likely) shipped to Langley to be picked apart and worked over down to the last bolt? We're now in month 7 and I'm interested to see just how disastrous this is becoming for Russia in terms of counterintelligence, and thus by proxy how bad it is for China considering a lot of their current shit consists of licensed Soviet/Russian shit.
>They'll unscrew it and see more French electronics inside
More likely Kimchi designs.
Remember, the Russians did a pretty big technology transfer with the Worst Koreans when they gave them their Iskander and S-400 technology which resulted in domestic derivatives pretty quickly.
What they got in return was a mystery, but speculated to be the production and tech package for their own thermal imaging matrices.
why? i don't think there's much to it that's going to really change much about american thinking on making tanks. it's not like a newer air defence system or an EW jammer. it's just a t-90 upgrade. they might want to see but we all know that thing is just a slight improvement on a t-90
anon america and the west is obsessed with learning every little detail of their opponent's equipment. If they can get their hands on it, they will leave no stone unturned, no bolt unfastened. The fear of missing something important in their equipment that can negatively affect your performance on the battlefield is what drives this.
>Sir we NEED to invest 1 billion dollars into getting the brand new T90M from the Russians >b-but its just a slightly improved T90 >THATS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK WHAT IF THERES A QUANTUM COMPUTER INSIDE IT!?
oh come on, it doesn't cost a billion to transport a tank from Poland to the US on a C-5

1 billion dollar to completely sap the russian military of equipment and weaken their political power because everyone realizes they don't have much to fear from them is stupid cheap.
Seeing how good or more likely bad the domestic stuff is the Russians are using to replace foreign components is extremely interesting though,
You're right, Its not some top secret new tech, but it give some insights in Russia's industrial capability.
the most valuable thing on this tank is the Relikt armor
way too many guys thinking this is similar to a western tank. It's not. The T90 is a development of the T72 and the M is just a much newer T90 with thermals for both men in the turret and a new generation ERA
The only question anyone is going to care to ask is if the weapons being used (M829A4, etc) are effective against this ERA, then it'll be sent back to Kiev as a museum piece
I just don’t understand why the drivers weren’t aware enough to drop a grenade down the hatch to prevent the Ukies from taking it. Do they really not care that much?
Give it to me straight - is using an autoloader in the turret a bad design? I’ve heard Ruskie tanks can be smaller and faster but they also pop like popcorn when hit
An autoloader isn't the issue per se, it's where the ammo for it is stored. There's really no great place to store a bunch of shells where they are both fairly safe and accessible to the autoloader.
really makes me smile every time I see some (obviously brown) individual posting an Abrams with its blowout panels off, not realizing that the crew is entirely safe and the tank is recoverable (unlike one that has burned down)
The ammo propellant is clearly venting via crew hatches.
No need to kope my nigaa. The iraqis probably wedged the armored doors to the ammo compartment open. Shit happens

They'd weld the ammo hatches open alot actually. They didn't know what they were for and they would often misunderstand how they were supposed to work, thinking then that they must be broken or useless
The flames are photoshopped on
Here is the original video >inb4 rebbit
https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/jxdxyf/isis_fighters_destroying_abrams_tanks_using_anti/
Abrams tanks ammo fires in the blowout racks create far bigger flames
the heat treatment on the turret is probably fricked up so you'd have to probably replace it. You might be able to get away with not replacing the entire turret if human life is low on your checklist and there's enemies 1 mile away and rushing you.
I have posted so many things there and every time they just ignore it like it doesn't exist.
They're not worth it, since the offensive it's basically a dead general.
How would you destroy a tank, /k/?
And I mean in the sense that if you had to abandon your tank, how would you go about making it useless for the captors?
crews have just AKs so shoot electronics, on top and inside turret, maybe try shooting and holing fuel tanks that are besides driver's seat. thats about it
>leave the ammo inside, throw in some rags >pour fuel inside >soak a rag in fuel, light it on fire, throw it down the hatch
Minutes to an ammo cookoff.
>vatniks and browns shill during first NATO deliveries, announcing that Russia will capture and reproduce western wepon systems >6 months pass >only basic shit like empty NLAW tubes, stingers and APCs from 60s gets captured >meanwhile Puccia manages to abandoooon every single wepon system this shitty nation produced in last 40 years
That guy was an unapologetic russiaboo but he started acknowledging shortcomings in Russian equipment in more recent videos, at least. He's still a moron
The rubber ERA videos and the T-90 videos were about him deboonking those. He’s definitely still a vatnik guzzler compared to someone like Binkov who’s talked about the decrepit state of the Russian Air Force even before Ukraine.
> The gazettes from which the old prince first heard of the defeat at Austerlitz stated, as usual very briefly and vaguely, that after brilliant engagements the Russians had had to retreat and had made their withdrawal in perfect order. good god, let the ukrainians capture some extreme wunderwaffe from russia, i know its highly unlikely, but maybe russians will bring a single armata or su-27 for a photo-op then abandon it and let ukies take it, just imagine, that wouldve been unbelievable salt from vatniks

Poor kid.
>that sun
That is Ms Mun to you!
They have t-90m's? I thought they have (had lol) T-80 variants.
They were supposed to have mishmash of the best mother russia can provide.
2nd Guards MRD is a T-90 equipped unit. Plausible that some 2GMRD units were also in the area and got routed as well.
They were clumping together smashed-arse units from the Kiev front into all sorts of mish-mashed units up that way. So it really could be from damn near anyone sent in as a replacement
>1st guards army man.
i fully expect them to roll with technicals in a few months
we've seen Russia pulling out monkey model T-90 from Crimea, they still have a fight in them
Not sure if I would put Strv103 under doctrine purist
Structure radical is bullshit.
No such thing
In Kharkiv
1st tank army defeated
Kharkiv has been the abandooners magnum opus, more than Kyiv.
Seriously if you dont have any dedicated explosives kit and there are no friendly tanks/at weapons nearby just throw a grenade inside or even take a fricking hammer and smash everything inside to make glowies work harder.
>how easily the Vatniks take flight when a flag is planted behind their lines by cheeky SF c**ts from Ukraine.
Comic related.
I miss Valkyria Chronicles, I wonder if I should play it again.
Lack of leadership most likely. Also maybe Russian propaganda has turned against them, and they really believed that all of NATO was on the way towards them.
Read this as captured several Shotas.
why the frick wouldn't they drop 2-3 nades in the fricking thing if your clearly abandoning it to the enemy.
They probably had none.
Or simply couldn't be bothered to blow that thing up.
low moral why would they do a favor for a state that meat grinds their comrades.
Also it might eject its turret and squish you
They have to keep the grenades for themselves.
An order to scuttle would mean an officer was 1) not actively fleeing and 2) willing to admit defeat.
I remember in a thread a few days ago several anons who served in western militaries said they had scuttling procedures drilled into their skulls, the fact the first T-90M loss was scuttled by another tank in the column was a miracle.
because they dont have 2 grenades
Oh that's definitely going to be shipped West. Oopsie.
Literal moron here. What's the significance of the T-90M?
As far as I have seen all of the Russian tracks have underperformed, what is supposed to be special about this ol gal?
Russian claimed Wunderwaffe right below T14
it is the most recent Russian tank, marvel of their engineering. We will see is it actually decent tank or trash now
its supposed to be the best tank russia has to offer, also less than 50 were made.
its the most modern tank Russia has other than le
0 working Armata
>What's the significance of the T-90M?
T-72B3 also has a panoramic commander sight, it's the same one the French sold them and the same one T-90M uses, maybe slightly worse.
T-72B3 and T-80BVM don't have a panoramic commanders sight. Their commander's sights are infact unchanged from what they had in the 80s. All they have is a repeater of the Gunner's primary SOSNA-U sight like we had in the M1 tanks in the 80s.
There is one exception which there are a few images of modified T-72B3 for the tank biathlon which have a commander's panoramic sight being used in Ukraine now
https://twitter.com/RALee85/status/1566934043245035520
>still using the same ol' three-blade fan
>There is one exception which there are a few images of modified T-72B3 for the tank biathlon which have a commander's panoramic sight
Also the T-72B1MS "White Eagle"(Ob'yekt 184-1MS) modificaton gets a "Falcon's Eye" third generation panoramic thermal sight for the commander.
Currently in service with Laos, Nicaragua, Serbia and Vietnam.
hugely, massively doubt that's gen 3 flir
Thales is a gen 2 optic
>T-72B3 also has a panoramic commander sight,
It doesn't. But there's a limited number of what they call a T-72B3M which do have a CITV.
I hate how the left side of the Turret is almost smooth while the right side is full of bumps
The T-72B3 doesn't have a CITV, the T-72B3M, which was not mass produced, does.
Woops, didn't see the earlier posts.
Shameful display.
That is a T-72B3. Notice the manually operated TC TKN-3M sight with a small IR searchlight?
And the Sosna-U gunner's sight protecton is manually bolted on/off as opposed to the T-90M's remotely controlled.
>That is a T-72B3.
Not shit, how did you miss:
>T-72B3 (pic rel).
it has an active protection system
just that it’s not a hard kill one
It's the most modern russian tank. A supposed rival to M1a2, leopards merkavas etc all the ultramodern current tanks.
IT's the absolute best russia can do in terms of something that isn't a parade float like t14.
It's literally a t72 with what rest of the world considers early 90s tech and if you factor in corruption it has explosive reactive armor without the explosive or reactive part and its composite armor might just be steel with some holes where composite material might go to.
Best actual tank Russians have. Pretty rare too. No, Aramta doesn't count because it's in the forever prototype phase.
its very rare - last Russian tank type that Ukies did not capture in working order till now - (armata is legendary tier with rest of one off "objekt-xxx" prototypes)
But this was the 1st Guards Tank Army and what they abandoned was the "good stuff".
this feels like the Taliban somehow capturing an F-22
holy FRICK i was thinking they captured pic related that was abandoned months back, but they got their hands on ANOTHER one?
T-90M from your pic was destroyed
Everytime I look at this picture the funnier it gets.
Why didn't 1GTA bring that one working prototype of WunderArmata. I want to see French electronics inside

OHNONONO
Can't even do the most basic shit to sabotage their most modern MBT.
Russians, man.
Russians don't have initiative
If there's no order to sabotage equipment - they're not gonna do it
If an officer orders a withdrawal without explicit details - they'll just leave

Is that a manual transmission?
Learn to drive bro, it's sad you don't know what that is.
Yeah, it also had another iteration of the V2 engine from T-34
Pretty standard. It's not difficult to use one, and more stuff to go wrong on automatic.
Honestly looks pretty nice.
Its so shiny and new
Not like inside the T-72's full of chipped paint and shit that look that someone raped a conscript dipped in engine oil in
just put it in H

No, it activates the defense system against radiation produced by the emitters of Zelenskiy's femboy conversion Doomsday Device. Due to a small bit of cost-cutting during production, this system instead amplifies the signal's strength by 1 order of magnitude.

>"antifriza"
The frick? Why are they using a Russified version of the English term?
Had Russians never used antifreeze until they received it via lend-lease from the US?
Its usually drunk by the crew before 10am, don't worry about it
Yeah, aнтифpиз is a basic term for motor coolant in russian, while the verbatim translation нeзaмepзaйкa is usually used for below-zero-C rated windshield cleaner.
The same as 'xerox' in russian is the basic term for any photocopy machine and the process itself.
>The same as 'xerox' in russian is the basic term for any photocopy machine and the process itself.
That one isn't that surprising. IIRC, back when they were a top dog in the industry, the Xerox Company fought hard and paid loadsamony in lobby gibs, in order to prevent the average dude from using 'xerox' as shorthand for photocopy.
>actively wasting money to kill the mother of brand awareness
God, Xerox was goddamn stupid. It was a miracle the company was saved.
IIRC If your name becomes common word you can lose trademark protection.

>t. from marketing
Google does the same by protesting against using the verb ‘to google’ when you’re talking about searching on the web using a search engine.
That’s because of copyright law. If a brand name becomes something people use in common speech, you risk losing the rights to it.

Probably talking about the Oplot there, that had a welded turret and blowout compartment in the turret bustle for storage as well, just like the T-90M
before someone asks AZ -- autoloader
APS would make more sense in context, no?
Guess you are right. T-84 doesn't have APS, while T-90M does
>APS would make more sense in context, no?
No, the A-Z is the technical designation for the autoloader.
КAЗ would be correct term for APS. K = кoмплeкc, as APS is treated like a complex system rather than just an assembly or mechanism.
holy shit
Check this one out, it's pretty good.
Hopefully they get 24-7 Swan Lake on the TV 🙂
>Basically he says watch russia for the next week or 2 cause shits going down
I hope it doesnt, lend lease is kicking in gear in 2 weeks (haha) and I want to see ukies roll on Moscow and the whole Russian Federation balkanized
any idea what is even gonna be given in lend-lease?
The Regent Endures.
The Holy Russian Empire will endure.
> all these people thinking that T-90M has some super duper tech
It's gonna be handed to an experienced tank crew, and that will be the end of it. If you want to study russian tech, buy Lada.
It's great for even further vatnik demoralization, anon
Has anyone drawn up a list of all the unique dardy shit that's been captured and (most likely) shipped to Langley to be picked apart and worked over down to the last bolt? We're now in month 7 and I'm interested to see just how disastrous this is becoming for Russia in terms of counterintelligence, and thus by proxy how bad it is for China considering a lot of their current shit consists of licensed Soviet/Russian shit.
I dont think there is anything modern in that tank that the west didnt have 30 years ago but it would be a great OPFOR research station
IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE

yeha this pretty much confirms this thing is already out of country and in the hands of an alphabet soup agency
Fresh off the production line
Let me guess. They'll unscrew it and see more French electronics inside
Express delivery to a NATO base in Poland
The Entire might of the Russian Industry stolen so easily
It's a Long Way to ~~Tipperary~~ Langley.mp3
Some Ukrainians gonna get some Langley bucks
This shit is in the air in a C5 galaxy as we speak isn't it
why? i don't think there's much to it that's going to really change much about american thinking on making tanks. it's not like a newer air defence system or an EW jammer. it's just a t-90 upgrade. they might want to see but we all know that thing is just a slight improvement on a t-90
Knowing stuff better let’s us kill stuff deader
anon america and the west is obsessed with learning every little detail of their opponent's equipment. If they can get their hands on it, they will leave no stone unturned, no bolt unfastened. The fear of missing something important in their equipment that can negatively affect your performance on the battlefield is what drives this.
>Sir we NEED to invest 1 billion dollars into getting the brand new T90M from the Russians
>b-but its just a slightly improved T90
>THATS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK WHAT IF THERES A QUANTUM COMPUTER INSIDE IT!?
oh come on, it doesn't cost a billion to transport a tank from Poland to the US on a C-5
its military aid that USA gives to Ukies so they can capture it
1 billion dollar to completely sap the russian military of equipment and weaken their political power because everyone realizes they don't have much to fear from them is stupid cheap.
>He thinks Langley has to barter with Kiyv
No, no they do not. The gear is sent because otherwise the funnel stops and the Ukies can not handle that.
If you know what the optics of your opponent can do, you can improve your material to make them harder to see.
If you have the optics of your opponent, you can find out that their optics can't do, and then you can make yourself invisible if you want
If you can find a flaw, you can exploit it.
but we can just buy the optics from the french to know what it uses
Seeing how good or more likely bad the domestic stuff is the Russians are using to replace foreign components is extremely interesting though,
You're right, Its not some top secret new tech, but it give some insights in Russia's industrial capability.
Well the Ukrainain tanker(T-64BV gunner) who was there when they captured it had this to say (pic related).
And he does regular review videos of captured Russian tanks and compares them to his T-64BV, so the T-90M has gone somewhere out of his reach.
This is his channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0ZyGHYpxTJNXv1_hBTJzDw/community
Ups, this is what he said about a potential T-90M video review.

We will have to settle with the Shitty Terminators
if they can get a T-14 running and abandon it, i'm going to die laughing.
>mfw when someone drives it from Moscow with the handbrake on
In Crimea
I highly doubt we'll ever see any t-14s in Ukraine. Sad.
I'd bet there was some serboid or ziggerbot praying for "T90M to roam american soil".
Rejoice, son! Your wish is granted*.
* American soil would be restricted to various DoD proving grounds.
the most valuable thing on this tank is the Relikt armor
way too many guys thinking this is similar to a western tank.
This tank itself has domestic sights
rather then French ones and also the T-90M has a different turret to T-90A, so probably a different internal armor scheme
Not a T-72B3, or a tank that is used by the Russians so I don't know how that is relevant
I just don’t understand why the drivers weren’t aware enough to drop a grenade down the hatch to prevent the Ukies from taking it. Do they really not care that much?
Defeatism is punished harshly.
Sounds like risky bussiness, what if the nade k-kills the tonk and turret lands on your head?
Give it to me straight - is using an autoloader in the turret a bad design? I’ve heard Ruskie tanks can be smaller and faster but they also pop like popcorn when hit
The Soviet carousel autoloader design is terrible. Casette-style autoloaders are fine.
An autoloader isn't the issue per se, it's where the ammo for it is stored. There's really no great place to store a bunch of shells where they are both fairly safe and accessible to the autoloader.
indeed, especially if you want to keep your tank small as possible like the russians do
Them Soviet bridges
Considering how the Russian military is run they might get charged for destroying army property if they scuttle their vehicles.
I’m so proud to be an American
Why?
>I am proud to be an american
>why?
>Posts a picture of working blowout panels
probably thats why
really makes me smile every time I see some (obviously brown) individual posting an Abrams with its blowout panels off, not realizing that the crew is entirely safe and the tank is recoverable (unlike one that has burned down)
Not the vatnig, but I think the fire's coming out of the hatches
Nope. The turret has two 'doors' to slide ammo easier. They're also blowout panels. That's why they blow... out.
Look closer, the fire's in front of CROWS, which mean it's coming out of the commander and loader's hatch, also smoke from driver's hatch
The ammo propellant is clearly venting via crew hatches.
No need to kope my nigaa. The iraqis probably wedged the armored doors to the ammo compartment open. Shit happens
>The iraqis probably wedged the armored doors to the ammo compartment open.
Ah, the "Jutland 1916" move.
They'd weld the ammo hatches open alot actually. They didn't know what they were for and they would often misunderstand how they were supposed to work, thinking then that they must be broken or useless
The flames are photoshopped on

Abrams tanks ammo fires in the blowout racks create far bigger flames
Can a post ammo blowout abrams be feasibly repaired and put back into action?
Fix up the racks and the hole in armor and you're good to go
It's mainly designed for crew survivability. The tank itself won't be back in action anytime soon.
worst comes to worst, you replace the turret
the heat treatment on the turret is probably fricked up so you'd have to probably replace it. You might be able to get away with not replacing the entire turret if human life is low on your checklist and there's enemies 1 mile away and rushing you.
So this is what it's like sitting on ammunition

just forget about them

And I mean in the sense that if you had to abandon your tank, how would you go about making it useless for the captors?

The rubber ERA videos and the T-90 videos were about him deboonking those. He’s definitely still a vatnik guzzler compared to someone like Binkov who’s talked about the decrepit state of the Russian Air Force even before Ukraine.
Haven't seen those. Guess I gave him too much credit
He's even worse than a russiaboo, he's, may Allah forgive me for uttering this word, a s**b
>"N-nno! The T-90M is a peer to the Abrahams SepV3, shut up!"
right on time
The interior looks fricking disgusting. No wonder Artillery chads keep winning over these unwashed animals.
OoOoOoOoOoOo scary tank scary eyes feed me chechens eyes oOoOoOoOoOoO, you scared yet, /k/?
It's such a shame IR dazzlers are so useless that everyone including vatniks have been phasing them out. Shtora-1 looked nice.
> The gazettes from which the old prince first heard of the defeat at Austerlitz stated, as usual very briefly and vaguely, that after brilliant engagements the Russians had had to retreat and had made their withdrawal in perfect order. The old prince understood from this official report that our army had been defeated.
L. Tolstoy. "War and Peace"
Great book
Based and Bolkonsky-pilled
good god, let the ukrainians capture some extreme wunderwaffe from russia, i know its highly unlikely, but maybe russians will bring a single armata or su-27 for a photo-op then abandon it and let ukies take it, just imagine, that wouldve been unbelievable salt from vatniks
