1. Extinguish fire.
2. Remove from field and send to divisional shop.
3. Replace busted fuel tanks.
4. Replace powerpack.
5. Fix the blowout panels and bustle.
6. Fix whatever outer hull damage there is.
There. Done. Will take under a week in the divisional shop.

Again, you literal subhuman moron: Western MBTs and the Abrams in particular came back repaired from FAR WORSE than a bit of diesel burning on the roof and inside a compartmentalized fuel tank.
Now kindly rope yourself out of shame.

Easy: drain the blood of several dozen mobiks and slather the burned parts with the blood. The Abrams thirsts for russoid blood as its sustenance and will repair itself. If you have to use poojeet indian blood, only as a last resort, the manuals say that proportionally speaking you’ll need several thousands worth of Indians worth of blood since their blood is of an inferior quality and only a smaller fraction of their blood can be used to slather the burned parts. Hope that clears up your misunderstanding of tank repair.

It will be repaired because suggesting otherwise is not permitted
Abrams engines can use diesel, jet fuel or ordinary gasoline. It's much more likely to have been diesel as it simplifies logistics.
Pajeets wouldn't know that, of course .

From what, you absolute mong? Because newsflash, western MBTs and the Abrams in particular have survived shock from far worse than anything that could have hit this thing.
>and i am saying this with all the ignorance you can Imagine
You sure are.
>muh burning jet fuel
Doesn't actually do shit when it can't get into the tank proper, moron.
This may shock a clueless subhuman moron like you, but modern western MBTs have in fact survived worse and returned to the battlefield after repairs.
No no please go ahead. Tell me how a tank that burns for days in his own jet fuel will surely be used again After some repair.
It's over the tank Is gone. Deal with It with some dignity for Christ saie
>burns for days
How does it burn for days exactly, you clueless subhuman moron? Hint: Ain't enough fuel in there for that.
The tank is in a repairable state from what can be gathered from the footage. Deal with it, or slit your throat out of shame if that's what's needed to get you to stop humiliating yourself with these clueless moron takes of yours.
Do you think Ukraine has the industrial output to produce state-of-art sensors that those thanks use and require to operate?
This is not a T-55 that all you need to do is replace gaskets, o-orings, and run a brand new wiring that has less wires than a 90's Opel Corsa.
Every person with half a brain, and knowledge about tanks warned against sending Abrams to Ukraine because Ukraine simply doesn't have the logistics to keep those tanks working. They will break out, or get stuck in mud (too heavy) and will be captured.
And let's not forget that with the price of single Abrams, you can buy two dozen soviet clones that will perform the same function.
Now you have it. The symbol of American power was destroyed either by someone who barely knows how to read or by a mine deployed by a fricking helicopter.
>Do you think Ukraine has the industrial output to produce state-of-art sensors that those thanks use and require to operate?
No, but the US, France, Germany, Britain and most other NATO nations do. You think they're not getting spare parts and logistics help along with the tanks? Hell, didn't they send multiple leopards back to get repaired in Germany (Even if the Germans embarrassed themselves by having the tanks get held up in the factory)
Do you think a contained fuel fire in the back of the tank does anything to those sensors? Do you think the Ukrainians didn't receive plentiful spare parts to go along with those tanks?
Oh wait, you absolutely did. Because you're a braindead, subhuman zigger shill and you have literally less than zero knowledge about tanks. Kys.
>And let's not forget that with the price of single Abrams, you can buy two dozen soviet clones that will all die uselessly together with all their crews where the Abrams survives and fulfills its mission.
FTFY.
>Destroyed
You mean to wrikte "lightly damaged" there. Unless you were lying again, of course.
We saw the same shit with the Leos and brads, get damaged in combat, towed away repaired and back in action. meanwhile a T90 turret goes into orbit when hit with a 5.56
I will help you to read what happened in the image.
Do you see the OP picture? It was taken from a remote-controlled drone. This drone probably just dropped a thermobaric grenade inside the tank (which is extremely used by both sides to prevent recovery of abandoned tanks)
So yeah, every computer, sensor, and wiring are gone.
Uh huh. Only of course the crew compartment looks to be entirely intact, which rather completely contradicts your wishful thinking. So yeah, every computer, sensor and wiring remain intact.
>you can buy two dozen soviet clones that will perform the same function.
from whom, exactly? most civilized countries got rid of those shitboxes ages ago, those who haven't probably can't afford to replace them with better tanks.
besides, they already have plenty of tanks that barely saw any action, the only instance of documented losses was at the start of the counteroffensive last year.
past that point we barely saw any of those new military aid vehicles in combat with the exception of the bradley.
ukraine either is waiting to give russia enough losses from attrition to not give them a chance to repel the next large scale attack or it's having bad manpower shortages.

Remember when you guys did this shit with the Bradley to only have it destroying russian armor? The meme is not going to age well.
>moronic journalists being moronic
What do you think this proves? The media is full of humanities graduates who failed upwards. It's a good tank, but "game changer" is just stupid hype.
On the other hand, we have seen some actual game changers in this war so far, namely HIMARS used in tandem with drone spotters and Patriot being used in an aggressive role to send Russian jets on their eternal flight.
>Visually documented losses: >RuAF: 2759 tanks of various sorts (of which destroyed: 1803, damaged: 148, abandoned: 269, captured: 539) >Abrams M1A1: 1
But lets be sensible here: it's all but certain that the RuAF will eventually have evidence of a *second* M1A1 kill, and it's likely going to take place after mere hundreds of Russian tank losses instead of the thousands suffered so far. Given a sufficient amount of time, the Russians might even manage to score a documented mobility kill on a HIMARS unit.
Well yeah, if your tanks aren't ever exposed are you even using them? It's not magic, you drive over a big enough mine or whatever and you're done. Hatches look like they could be popped, hopefully the crew got out, the tank did it's job. However, this is /k/ and the boot is on the other foot in this situation. The Americans can expect a certain amount of mockery, as has been dished out to every other nation on planet earth every day. The heavy moderation of this specific topic just poor sportsmanship
Damn that sucks that an Abrams got blown up, this surely will turn the tides of the war and is much worse than
Tanks (2759, of which destroyed: 1803, damaged: 148, abandoned: 269, captured: 539)
Armoured Fighting Vehicles (1220, of which destroyed: 823, damaged: 34, abandoned: 94, captured: 269)
Infantry Fighting Vehicles (3496, of which destroyed: 2466, damaged: 139, abandoned: 272, captured: 619)
Armoured Personnel Carriers (400, of which destroyed: 268, damaged: 18, abandoned: 21, captured: 93).
Technically the hull contains depleted uranium. It's radioactive, in that if you stood next to it for around a million years or so you might get a chest X-ray's worth.
Yeah, ok. But Uranium-238 has a half life of 4.468×10^9 years, meaning it's 2.5 times less radioactive than the Potassium-40 found in bananas
Interesting thing, DU is so dense and stable that it's pound for pound the best radiation shielding we have (lead needs about 3 times the thickness for the same effect), so the layer of DU in the Abrams' Chobham armour makes it technically radiation resistant.
Furthermore, U-238 decays via alpha decay and alpha particles can be stopped by a sheet of paper, so it's unlikely that the crew get anything higher than a background exposure.
so is the lead in every bullet and primer you fire. A soldier in the field firing full auto is getting exposed to way more toxic heavy metals than a tank crew sitting comfy inside their DU shell.
It is not. First of all, by law only US Abrams can have DU armor. Second of all, there's no proof that any more than a couple dozen Abrams were given that armor.
>less radioactive than the Potassium-40 found in bananas
It was never about the Donbas, it was never about the banana. For every dead Russian a million bananas rise from his corpse. With all that potassium the monke finally has everything he needs to construct a weapon far more power full than the tzar bomb. And we are not ready.
i bet that theyre not releasing the video yet because it would show the ammo exploding, and then the crew all safely evacuating after 10 or so seconds, because the smoke coming from the hatches is actually most likely halon and not a fire
Idk, I expected a video from multiple angles before people trusted the word of a nation thats been caught lying and falsifying evidence a triple digit number of times in this war. I'm not saying there's no way that they destroyed an Abrams, the whole indestructible wonderwaffe thing is russian nonsense, but this could just be some random photo with flames photoshopped in. I see absolutely no reason for them JUST to upload a picture of their screen instead of recording their screen while the drone flies around it
i bet that theyre not releasing the video yet because it would show the ammo exploding, and then the crew all safely evacuating after 10 or so seconds, because the smoke coming from the hatches is actually most likely halon and not a fire
with the way its being spammed too, my zigger sense is telling me the crew evacuated safely, those little fires went out quickly, and the things probably salvageable still. If they hard killed the thing theyd be spamming the video showing it

We have rules about exporting certain systems, including DU armor. Those 4,000 M1s are US Army stock, not export models. Any Abrams going to Ukraine first has to be stripped down to the bare steel and then rebuilt.

abrams need to be export-ready meaning no DU armor. takes a long time to get new contracts ready, to then have old abrams sent over to the one tank plant in lima, ohio where refurbishment needs to take place. also a massive backlog of existing orders that need to be considered
How many of those ancient M1s even came with DU, all of them?

again the m1s sitting in the desert are not usable without refurbishment. mothball storage is to keep the hulls of the tanks (that require extremely expensive facilities to make) in one spot without rotting. if you just gave them to ukraine ukraine would lose its fricking mind and turn it into an international incident.

All the models produced since 1988 have DU, and most of the early models have had DU added during modernization.
they're good literally forever anon, the hulls are just... metal. the tanks, not the hulls, the actual tanks, aren't really usable on short notice. the hulls are fine indefinitely though, and the hulls are what new tank production would be limited by anyway.
they're basically good on abrams hull production for the next 40+ years, maybe 2-3 if a full scale war breaks out. the us government isn't going to drop that advantage just to give ukraine several hundred/thousand m1s. i'm sorry but if you think it's feasible, it's really not.
I never understood this. Why not give Ukraine 100 M1 abrams? We can just make more like wtf.

Several reasons.
1. Ukraine doesn't need or want main battle tanks.
2. They are incredible expensive, like, a new hospital in the US tier of expensive.
3. If sending 30 M1 did frick all, why send 100 would change anything?

Fricking burgers.

>have a whole stockpile of shit you will never realistically use >only give 31 tanks to ukraine
Fricking burgers.
The US isn't allowed to export Abrams with the normal armor package, and they only convert them into export models on a per-order basis. So when Ukraine wanted tanks first the plant had to finish doing Abrams for Taiwan or Poland or whoever, and then they had to start putting them together for Ukraine. That's the delay. Doing a frame-off restomod of hundreds of tanks probably isn't something they wanted to deal with for a war where tanks have been less important then missiles or arty.
Looking at the image the blowout panels did their thing but there seems to be smoke coming from the hatches. Could be halon from the fire suppression system, dear god I hope the Ukies aren't doing sandy shit and propping the ammo doors open rendering the blowouts useless. If they're running with crew hatches open that could also be an issue for dropper drones which we've seen drop grenades right into hatches on Russian tanks plenty of times. At the very least the driver absolutely would've made it out though. Hopefully it can be recovered and the MIC can do MIC things. Otherwise it's sure to end up in some museum in Moscow where you're never told how many Russians this whole clusterfrick got killed assuming they can actually get it out of the field.
Just like with everything else as predicted the first time an Abrams even possibly gets knocked /misc/, vatniks, and poos start spamming the board about it. It'd be nice if for the duration of the war posting on /misc/ would instantly 2 day you from /k/ and vice versa. Unfortunately that just means they'd still run through every VPN IP they could to make a post that lasts a grand total of a couple minutes at most before being deleted.
I think the most likely reason for the smoke from the hatches is that the tank couldn't be secured by the Russians so after disabling it they kept attacking it. The hatches of course would be left open after the crew bailed.
We have to remind everyone that no matter what NATO and the EU sends into Ukraine it's not impervious to damage or being outright destroyed, hence, no amount of help will ever be enough in fact, this also plays into Russia's favor since it also means that their army is effective enough to stop such materiel from going anywhere, whilst stopping any possible claims that the equipment sent is outright indestructible.
Fine, have at it, even if the Arabs managed to frick up the export version too, even if Russia has lost half of its old soviet stock and is about to mobilize more meat and create the T55 mod 2023 and even if we are about to see another Bakhmut electric boogaloo.
The frontlines are still not moving vatnik, your economy is in shambles, your military is the laughing stock of the world to the point where Armenia has told you to frick off, your country is leasing territory to China and pleading India to keep buying its oil for peanuts and the effects of this are going to reverberate for the next generations to come, whose future has burst into flames in what can only be called a vanity project of living in denial for the collective inability of a whole society to understand that the Soviet Union is gone, and none of its former members want anything to do with it, much less with the Russians that lead it.
Sure, keep burning fat and bleeding off for everybody's entertainment, but one day Russia is going to have to go through one hell of a reality check.
It appears that the majority of the damage is centralized in the rear section, implying the ammo compartment was hit.
It looks like the blowout panels did their job as there's not a lot of smoke coming from the forward hatches.
Given the lack of damage to the crew compartments, the majority of the tank's systems should still be functional, though it does appear that the engine was likely also damaged.
It's recoverable, but it wont be back on the line for some time.

>Anyways, how'd it get killed?

It's likely that the tank was abandoned and damaged or destroyed by the same drone that took this picture.
Abrams are notorious for getting stuck in mud due to their weight. In the American defense, it was a tank built to fight in middle eastern cities. Which, ironically, causes the diesel turbine to overheat, and were rarely used there because older parts of cities had narrow roads and the Abrams could get stuck too easily.
>it was a tank built to fight middle eastern conflicts
It was originally built to fight in the European theaters. However, its continuous upgrades lead to it gaining more weight.
>it was a tank built to fight in middle eastern cities
It was made for a possible soviet invasion in the 1980s in which it would have had to perform against long columns of tanks and constant artillery in tight axes.
Although its understandable since it has spent 30 years since its inception playing in the sandbox and receiving more and more adaptations and training for that environment, to the point where the popular image of the tank is more brown than green.
>They got their border security
Wasn't it just a promise that Biden would "do something about it" if the crossings exceeded some huge amount per day and in exchange governors wouldn't be able to pull an Abbott anymore AND if they wanted to take the feds to court over failure to secure the border it had to be done in hard blue DC? You would think they would have taken million angles of it with tons of videos.

Biggest difference is that the crew has a better chance to survive and be interviewed to see what went wrong.
Most obvious answer would be the tank got caught by a drone, which any tank now is vulnerable to.
To show up with an Abrams in 2024 is like showing up with a WW1 tank in WW2. Technology has advanced. No jammer, no aps, no top armor within a couple km of the frontline?
The US army predicted that this would be the outcome 20 years ago when they came up with the mgv program to replace the m1.
Actually, the first program to replace the Abrams was cancelled in 1993. There was a second replacement program which got cancelled in 2007 and a third that was cancelled in 2014.
Mathematically, DU can never be truly depleted, there will always be trace amounts of U-235 hanging around in it. This means that DU produces a hair more than background radiation. Most people don’t know shit about radiation, so it’s fertile ground for people with an axe to grind to spin tall tales about how the DoD gives its soldiers cancer for shits and giggles.
>no aftermath
So either it's fake or they just caused a few flames on the OUTSIDE lmao, but no catastrophic damage. Otehrwise you bet they wouyld be doing victory laps and spamming a full webm everywhere instead of a cope screenshot.

Sorry, forgot pic

My opinion about the machine Is influenced by that furry dude Who made 13 years of video essays on how bad the tank Is. Besides him being a furry some of his observations are so well sourced that , even if i would want to counter It I Just don't know how
Also reddit big brain at work
Tank Is cooking in its own fuel and ammo for hours/days
"We can repair It"
>if Russia can't make a recoverable tank, no one can!
>what are blowout panels?
>what are armored fuel bulkheads?
ok moron
Wait you really think that the tank (that Is engulfed in its own jet fuel(great idea that engine) Will roll again? Yeah sure...
you are completely ignorant of how tanks and engines work, please do not post here again
No no please go ahead. Tell me how a tank that burns for days in his own jet fuel will surely be used again After some repair.
It's over the tank Is gone. Deal with It with some dignity for Christ saie
just stop, this is genuinely pathetic
Ok then, educate me. Tell me how It Will be repaired since "i am pathetic".
how is the tank "burning" in its own fuel?
you don't know how this works, do you?
you played War Thunder a bit and think you know how tanks work?
You are talking like fricking vaush
I asked you how would you repair a tank that has been hit and that Is cooking on its own fuel.
Go ahead
... it's not "cooking".
I'm not wasting my time on this.
You swap the damaged bits. Diesel fuel does not burn all that hot. The body and metal armor will be fine.
>You swap the damaged bits. Diesel fuel does not burn all that hot. The body and metal armor will be fine.
>t. most educated vatnik metallurgist
please nobody tell him, it'll be funnier when he finally figures it out
>I can fix her
>I can(not) fix her
You can't fix what's not broken
wtf why is her eotech rusty?
It's this the power of the fabled western metallurgy?*~~*~~)
Damn straight.
Low temperature fire does not frick with the big exspensive parts.
Strip it to bare hull and rebuild.
Unironically what happens at Lima. There were hundreds of graveyard Abrams from Iraq that were all burned out looking from fuel and ammo fires. They got stripped down, sandblasted to bare metal and refurbed into brand new ones.
Jet fuel can’t melt steel moron.
mmmm roast tank
You're not asking for an honest explanation, you're asking for some form of validation of your false premise. Your premise is moronic, and to be resoundingly rejected. You are then to be chemically sterilised. In a just world.
You deglaze the burnt bits with a little madeira, ez
Pajeets wouldn't know that, of course .
>burns for days in his own jet fuel
esl detected
>engulfed in its own jet fuel
yet the armor is somehow not melting.
Doesn't Need to, the shock will frick It for good, and i am saying this with all the ignorance you can Imagine. I don't even know what kind of shit the armor and structure Is made off. But there Is no way in Heaven that tank Is coming back. You can't bath in burning jet fuel for hours/days and be able to be repaired.
lurk more
>the shock
From what, you absolute mong? Because newsflash, western MBTs and the Abrams in particular have survived shock from far worse than anything that could have hit this thing.
>and i am saying this with all the ignorance you can Imagine
You sure are.
>muh burning jet fuel
Doesn't actually do shit when it can't get into the tank proper, moron.
>You can't bath in burning jet fuel for hours/days and be able to be repaired.
What did he mean by that?
What is it with those weird capitalizations in your sentence?
Jet Fuel can't even melt steel beams
Jet fuel is just about the same thing as diesel, and burns like diesel. You're thinking of gasoline.
This may shock a clueless subhuman moron like you, but modern western MBTs have in fact survived worse and returned to the battlefield after repairs.
>burns for days
How does it burn for days exactly, you clueless subhuman moron? Hint: Ain't enough fuel in there for that.
The tank is in a repairable state from what can be gathered from the footage. Deal with it, or slit your throat out of shame if that's what's needed to get you to stop humiliating yourself with these clueless moron takes of yours.
>jet fuel
Well, we know that it can melt steel in a building so I'm sure it can melt RHA as well.

It's ERA.

on the other side it probably was taken out by cheap chinese plastic quadcopter drone so not great either
imagine being that poor ukie mobik seeing a tank rolling in your general direction and hopelessly blasting it with your tiny gun. That explosion must have feel like being born again.
There's no way a 25mm cannon took out a T-90 dude. Disabled, maybe. But you cannot destroy an MBT with anything less than an RPG/ATGM or tank round.
Great! Now the whole board will be unusable for at least a month. They should have kept the tank off the frontline till the next offensive.

That's literally more then all t90s ever produced you alright deshawn
t90 is just a tarted up t72
And the M1A2SEP is just a tarted up M1A2. Which is just a tarted up M1A1. Which is just a tarted up M1.
Two can play this game.
No one has claimed a modernized Abrams is anything but an Abrams. Black folk and rashiaboos always claimed the t90 is some kind of wunderwaffle.
That's why they're all called the M1
At least the US never tried to pretend the M1A1 and M1A2 were completely different tanks.
Then why do they have different model designations? Congratulations you just played yourself.
They don't though.
I know which tank I'd much rather play that game in.
That entire thread was full of cum/chug/gers b***hing about troons. If it stayed on topic, it would have been fine.
Challenger popped it’s turret though. Atleast the abrams blowout panels worked as advertised.
Restrain yourself fart sniffer
We are friends today. Resume scheduled activities when this all dies down
Abrams showed up and started fighting like the leo did. Challenger is a glorified SPG that they clearly dont want to use in frontline action. but whatever
What's so special about Abrams? It's just a tank. It's hilarious how ziggers hype it up to be some invincible wunderwaffe.

>moronic journalists being moronic
What do you think this proves? The media is full of humanities graduates who failed upwards. It's a good tank, but "game changer" is just stupid hype.
On the other hand, we have seen some actual game changers in this war so far, namely HIMARS used in tandem with drone spotters and Patriot being used in an aggressive role to send Russian jets on their eternal flight.
Congrats, you get a third tank for the pictures.
Start photoshoping angles.
They still milk this one despite Challenger destruction
Of course, pic related, but I haven't seem them in a while, are they really still popping up?
>Visually documented losses:
>RuAF: 2759 tanks of various sorts (of which destroyed: 1803, damaged: 148, abandoned: 269, captured: 539)
>Abrams M1A1: 1
But lets be sensible here: it's all but certain that the RuAF will eventually have evidence of a *second* M1A1 kill, and it's likely going to take place after mere hundreds of Russian tank losses instead of the thousands suffered so far.
It's funny cause it's true
These headlines don't say what you think they say.
What does any of that have to do with a destroyed tank?
Damn that sucks that an Abrams got blown up, this surely will turn the tides of the war and is much worse than
Tanks (2759, of which destroyed: 1803, damaged: 148, abandoned: 269, captured: 539)
Armoured Fighting Vehicles (1220, of which destroyed: 823, damaged: 34, abandoned: 94, captured: 269)
Infantry Fighting Vehicles (3496, of which destroyed: 2466, damaged: 139, abandoned: 272, captured: 619)

Radioactive?
Technically the hull contains depleted uranium. It's radioactive, in that if you stood next to it for around a million years or so you might get a chest X-ray's worth.
Interesting thing, DU is so dense and stable that it's pound for pound the best radiation shielding we have (lead needs about 3 times the thickness for the same effect), so the layer of DU in the Abrams' Chobham armour makes it technically radiation resistant.
Furthermore, U-238 decays via alpha decay and alpha particles can be stopped by a sheet of paper, so it's unlikely that the crew get anything higher than a background exposure.
shit is still toxic af
Yeah, as all heavy metals are. Which also makes it about as dangerous as lead.
so is the lead in every bullet and primer you fire. A soldier in the field firing full auto is getting exposed to way more toxic heavy metals than a tank crew sitting comfy inside their DU shell.
lmao ziggers are making fun of the DU armor, yet their guys are literally dug in trenches near Chernobyl and have been getting radiation sickness
It is not. First of all, by law only US Abrams can have DU armor. Second of all, there's no proof that any more than a couple dozen Abrams were given that armor.
Yeah, ok. But Uranium-238 has a half life of 4.468×10^9 years, meaning it's 2.5 times less radioactive than the Potassium-40 found in bananas
>less radioactive than the Potassium-40 found in bananas
It was never about the Donbas, it was never about the banana. For every dead Russian a million bananas rise from his corpse. With all that potassium the monke finally has everything he needs to construct a weapon far more power full than the tzar bomb. And we are not ready.
>radioactive
These Abrams are exports, so they have tungsten armor. Terrible meme made by someone who knows nothing about vehicles.
>Current score: ~10k:1 in favour of the "60 ton radioactive coffin"

Yeah, wild times. Now it's just a statistic when another one promotes its crew to cosmonauts.
Did anyone really expect different? The cope cage+ERA+drone jammer combo used by Russian tanks was developed from years of experience in the SMO.
Sending an abrams without any of that onto the battlefield is basically a free kill.
>cope cage+ERA+drone jammer combo
>Implying any of these actually worked
Wait thats it? One grainy photo?
Well, what did you expect?
If they hard killed the thing theyd be spamming the video showing it
When you fight as efficiently and devastatingly as Hamas and the Russians you don't have time to post aftermath photos.
Arent these m1a1s just with some optics upgrades and some export design modifications (i.e. not as cool as American operated ones)?
The ones Ukraine has are likely M1A1SAs, which are basically the same ones the US sold to Saudi Arabia.
So the pidors have managed to do worse than yemenis
granted it was the saudis operating those tanks
>Tanks (2759, of which destroyed: 1803, damaged: 148, abandoned: 269, captured: 539)

>The front is now wide open
Meant to post the Donetsk one, not that it's much better.
>that frontline near Bakhmut
Is there a long term plan for sending tanks to Ukraine? It's mostly now just the US sending abrams, right?
We only gave Ukraine 31 Abrams, most (if not all) of which are already in country.
Better than nothing but doesn't seem like much at all. Does the US not have many tank plants / depots for this sort of refurbishment?
We have one tank plant which is in Lima, Ohio. There used to be another one in Detroit but it was closed in the 90s.
We have four thousand abrams in stockpile, I don't think a refurbishment is that big of a priority, Also we still have factories producing abrams
>have a whole stockpile of shit you will never realistically use
>only give 31 tanks to ukraine
Fricking burgers.
We have rules about exporting certain systems, including DU armor. Those 4,000 M1s are US Army stock, not export models. Any Abrams going to Ukraine first has to be stripped down to the bare steel and then rebuilt.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Can't make more engines.
>We can just make more like wtf
they haven't been made since more than two decades ago. everything is taken from existing storage and refurbished
The HULLS haven't been made, because there's NO NEED TO.
US has severe backorders from Egypt and Taiwan, many of them paid already. The Ukrainian platoon jumped the queue.
>The Ukrainian platoon
It's a battalion actually.
abrams need to be export-ready meaning no DU armor. takes a long time to get new contracts ready, to then have old abrams sent over to the one tank plant in lima, ohio where refurbishment needs to take place. also a massive backlog of existing orders that need to be considered
We sent the Abrams in order to convince Scholz to OK giving Leos
I take that as a "no", then
why is ukraine sending single tanks? they should attack with multiple tanks along with air support...
What's easier to hit one tank with an artillery barrage or a whole platoon of tanks with an artillery barrage.
They should be operating in pairs, or at least in conjunction with an IFV like the Bradley.
What are they even doing in daylight. The best advantage of this US stuff is thermals.
They might be out there in response to a Russian attack.
>why doesn’t the enemy allow us to fight under optimal conditions?
Great, the board is already unusable. The pajeets won't shut up for days.
US tech showing that it's fricking worthless, again. Probably got destroyed by a T-72
Low quality bait
The hatches of course would be left open after the crew bailed.
>destroyed
>blowout panel went off
this is what a destroyed tank looks like
Did it run over a mine?
You can see something come from the left and hit it right before it blows up
Rajesh, get back to the phones. I need help with my Dell.
Ah yes, the metodichka.

I can't believe you morons are falling for this, you know damn well that if it was real they'd have taken a triple digit number of pics and videos
The moronic shills from both sides are out in full force now.
Anyways, how'd it get killed? Any indications from someone who knows better than me? Curious if it was a drone.
Considering how nobody has posted this supposed “video evidence” of it, they’re definitely stirring the pot.
I saw a video on Twatter but it looks like it cuts after the Abrams is shown. Feel free to give it a look and try to verify it.
>Anyways, how'd it get killed?
Thats the thing, we dont know. Ziggers who filmed it with the drone are not sharing the video with us for some "good" reason.
I would really like to see the footage.
Although its understandable since it has spent 30 years since its inception playing in the sandbox and receiving more and more adaptations and training for that environment, to the point where the popular image of the tank is more brown than green.
>it was a tank built to fight in middle eastern cities
So you literally have no fricking clue what you're talking about. Good to know.
Stop trying to deflect you lying little communist eunuch.
Yes it was.
It's a real one, tho. And it's intact and in repairable condition. Seethe and dilate more about it, /misc/ filth.
>reduced armor
>all instrumentation past 1990's removed
>real
who are you fooling, zigger
You would think they would have taken million angles of it with tons of videos.
They recorded a video of this exact tank driving near the drone. Did it fricking drive away with blowout panels activated?
I'm betting the crew just waited for the ammo to burn out before getting back in and driving it off.
>So that's why they say /k/ope, top lel entire glowBlack person squadron at hand
you're brown
I'm sure it must make you feel oh so very special fooling yourself into believing it's the CIA making you look like an idiot rather than random PrepHole anons.
>samegayging this hard
prove it, zogbot
How am i a zogbot if i am not russian? I denounce the russian federation and their support for telmud.
>nu/misc/ can't even make a proper bait
Many such cases. Sad!
he cant even samegay properly. Easily detectable at this point because of the repeated patterns.

I guess it goes without saying, but this /misc/Black person is using the filename anonymizer so we don't notice it's just him spamming the same images
that's just good opsec anon, it prevents people from simply looking up your filenames with the archive. i don't blame him for that. he's still a fricking idiot though.
>he doesn't use PrepHole-x
newbie or phonegay?
...he does use PrepHolex, that's what he's saying. the filename anonymizer is a feature of PrepHolex.
You thinking that a randomized filename is notable implies that you do not use PrepHole-x. That's what I'm mocking. The apparent fact that you don't use it.
>install PrepHole X
>tick the option to hide your filenames because you're a newbie afraid of le epic archive detectives and don't want anything to be traced back to your other posts
>can't even spell the frickiing name of the extension right
Ok newbie, I really don't care
kek pathetic
No more (you)s
what the frick are you even talking about? i'm not that guy, and i do use PrepHolex.
i think using the filename anonymizer is a good thing. there are schizos here who will try to dox you irl, this place isn't safe at all so any slight improvement in opsec is a good thing. i don't know why that guy is so fricking angry about someone pointing out he uses PrepHolex though.
You mean the extension with the filename anonymizer I just fricking mentioned?
Been using it for like 15 years at this point, never felt the need to be a little baby b***h hiding his filenames
>I-I totally know what that extension is called, that's why I referred to it in such a vague and unfamiliar way
What's stopping the US from fast-tracking more M1s to Ukraine? Surely existing orders to other countries can wait as lower priority, maybe throw in a few extras as compensation to sweeten things out?

>footage of abrams blowing up random shit releases a week before a photo of an abrams being allegedly destroyed
>FIRST ABRAMS IN COMBAT BTFO ALREADY ANOTHER WIN FOR REDDIT
Well why would i cope? Abrams is an equipment that will be lost. The thing i'm curious about is why russians record a video of abrams moving and being recorded by this drone, but the aftermath is only a still photo, they obviously were recording it.
So i'm curious.
>my country lost when your rulers decided supplying Ukraine with means win the war when it was feasible was not in their interest, too risky
>and yes, russians will post their victory soonish, you'll cope with stale muh 3 day SMO bullshit, and everyone will be happy except the people stuck with the bill - Ukrainians, Poles, Baltics
seething thirdie
Yes, they are the real ZOG. You being butthurt about doesn't change that. Stop being immerse about the illusions of a trad russia.
>what goes on in Russia does not make your nation any more gentile ruled
If you ignore that invading and annexing neighboring countries thing.
>the fricking "i'm a ukrainian!!!" guy again
this bait is stale
>and yes, russians will post their victory soonish, you'll cope with stale muh 3 day SMO bullshit, and everyone will be happy except the people stuck with the bill - Ukrainians, Poles, Baltics
save this post for future mockery efforts
>what goes on in Russia does not make your nation any more gentile ruled
"muh Jooz" doesn't change the fact that Puccia is losing Valeriy
>whats going on in russia
Russia killed more white people than any other nation for the past 50 years. Losing 100k Europeans(if we believe that russians are white) in a year is not good. Especially if your goal is to appease to the delusions of restoring the old empire that was once ruled by the people you hate.
Ah yes, the one or 2 villages is totally going to change the outcome of those loses, anon. Explain to me the significance of that town?
it'll take more than a shitpic to convince me

>Biden then then gives a bizarre 2 hour long interview-lecture on why Canada started WW1 to Piers Morgan
The idea of Biden talking for two whole hours is unbelievable.
He didn't say Biden would do it coherently.
It's depressing that Russia is taking nearly five months to capture a village 7km from their border and is then bragging about it.
>nearly five months
Ten years. Ten years its been on the front line, and for the last two it had suffered almost daily attacks.
Please at least someone tell me it got recovered.
There was a second replacement program which got cancelled in 2007 and a third that was cancelled in 2014.

it do be like that
Nice CGI effects vatnik
For hopefully self-evident reasons, Russian military slang for tanks has been 'graves' since WW2. 'A grave for three brothers.'
>ousts herself as someone using reddit.
Ziggers, everyone.
Mathematically, DU can never be truly depleted, there will always be trace amounts of U-235 hanging around in it. This means that DU produces a hair more than background radiation. Most people don’t know shit about radiation, so it’s fertile ground for people with an axe to grind to spin tall tales about how the DoD gives its soldiers cancer for shits and giggles.
>has actually made an account to reddit
Ziggers, everyone.
stop smearing shit everywhere and you won't be banned and deleted constantly

Ziggers, everyone.
You dont belong to this site.
Where's the video and why are people taking this seriously
Why does every zigger supporter look like a pedophile?
Can they recover it? Will America force Ukraine to just HIMARS it so ziggers can't haul it back to Moscow intact?
If it's in Avdiika then it was probably damaged during the retreat
If it's in the south then they can just tow it away
You are still redditor, being banned there will not change it
>no aftermath
So either it's fake or they just caused a few flames on the OUTSIDE lmao, but no catastrophic damage. Otehrwise you bet they wouyld be doing victory laps and spamming a full webm everywhere instead of a cope screenshot.
