Why isn't anyone importing 5.45x39 ammunition from other ex-Warsaw Pact states?

The same goes for other weapons besides just Romania and Bulgaria. Kazakhstan resumed making NSVs in the late 2000s, and the updated variant is called NSVP. It's from the same now-private company that originally made them during the USSR days: https://utyos.zkmk.kz/

Sad but this is probably what’s going on , until someone comes along and starts local production we’re gonna have to settle with surplus

          PSA will fix it

            >PSA goes full moron and makes a frickton of 74s
            >Big brain moment when they finally question why no one is buying
            >Bigger brain moment when they start up ammo production for what's essentially a rifle only they make to use ammo only they make (assuming ukraine "fun" times continue for longer)
It's so moronic that I think it might work especially for people with nostalgia for the 2000s-2010s.

Curious about the barrel on the tula akm. It says "Polish" chf cl barrel, but doesn't state the manufacturer. They always advertise when it's an FB Radom barrel, so I wonder who made it.
    Hope it's not fricking pioneer

Same but hey , 2k for a Tula ak sounds like a decent deal to me at least

Eh I'd be more tempted at 1500, but at that point you could just get a new beryl or wbp
It's been a few years since I bought my last ak. Are Arsenal SAM5/7s still like 1800-2k?

How much do you reckon my arsenal slr104fr would go for these days? I bought for like 800 bucks in 2012 I believe is ammo being unobtainable an issue?

why would anyone pay this much money for a shitty stamped steel rifle?

Just buy a WASR its practically the same thing unless you really care about finishes on a fricking AK. Worn park finishes look good on AKMs.

Paying $2300 + tip for a fricking AK is "interesting"?
That gun needs to have been assembled by Kalashnikov himself or have a feature that sucks my dick and makes me dinner for that much.

True , they do at least have parts kit options for half the price though

        Anonymous

You're still moronic if you're paying ~$2500 when all is said and done for a 7.62x39 AK. You can get so many other, much more "interesting" guns for that price. You're literally paying like $1500 for a "Made in Russia" stamp.

Someone who knows more about aks than I correct me, but front trunnions are really the issue with the US just cranking out AK parts kits like we do AR parts, right? I mean besides the much smaller market, theoretically even if someone has ten AR builds they might have two or three AK builds just because building guns is fun. You don't really need much more expensive tools to put them together if you're clever, although the AR do-everything wrench is hard to beat, and you don't even need it with the new barrel nuts now.

If the US had a forged front trunnion manufacturer, we'd be pretty much set on AK kits then, right? The rear trunnions aren't an issue, I think bolts and carriers have a decent supply but again correct me if I'm wrong there, barrels are simpler than AR barrels to make if you consider the extension, I know there are several gas block manufacturers. Is that one main part really what has driven up the price of AKs that should otherwise be $500 like bottom-tier ARs, to $900+?

Atlantic firearms of Maryland doesn't manufacture or import anything.

All their rifles are built by Atlantic Arms in Michigan.
