Do not post movies without supernatural elements. Humans are not the enemy and in reality most people would work together to make things better for everyone instead of killing each other. Anything else is capitalist propaganda
Actually it was the opposite, 3 days into it and fully armed blacks were raiding police stations with cops sheltering in them like they were the fricking Terminator. Lol and Katrina was a localized, temporary disaster.
Anyone who doesn't have guns on the off chance that something like a CME hits and fricks the electrical grid for a couple years, kicking off the great chimpout, is moronic.
>Made up stories
when katrina happened, whites would literally hunt down blacks like a mad max movie
Katrina and the 2020 BLM riots are proof of why every White American needs to be heavily armed. Because when shit goes sideways, the cops won't come, and the orcs will definitely try to kill/rape/eat you.
Seen all of these, they're great, I think I've seen most good movies of these kind, I was thinking of starting some shows but I'm not sure, I've read online that Into The Night was pretty good
everyone in that show was incredibly moronic, a shame cause I loved the way they filmed it but I could not give a single frick about anyone in it, I also loved z nation
Black Summer is the most realistic, bleak zombie show ever made. some of the best action scenes ive seen in years. its a weird show, but give it a chance, you wont regret it
the action scenes are great but it's let down by how crap it's characters are, they're all the biggest morons imaginable. the show it's a spin off of z nation is alot weirder though
A lot of people dislike it because it's so bleak, but that will be the reality. Lol we can barely get along when we have all these massive systems of civilization in place literally forcing us all to, once that goes away it's back to laws of nature, and nature is a harsh b***h. Going to be far harsher after getting raped for a century+ by industrialism.
It's director, john hillcoat, has been confirmed to start filming blood meridian.
Another cormac mccarthy book rendition.
Can't wait, the book is brutal and beautiful. I wonder how raw they can make it in the current pussy ass pc climate
>blood meridian is the best
it's a book about a 13 year old getting raped over and over by random judges, toads, mexicans, indians, donkeys, and some old squatter with no ass bucket.
wtf is wrong with you people.
Westerns and post apoc have a lot of overlap.
No real overarching authority to appeal to,
What's left of morality when rule of law is suspended and scarcity sets in.
How many meals are we removed from collapse of civility
Where can I watch the subbed second season of this? none of the torrent sites I use have it, and netflix wont buy the second season because the show is russian and Russia is evil or some shit.
OG mad max for that feeling of mid-apocalypse where money still works but all the social systems are slowly breaking down and all anyone can do is pretend life is still going on like normal.
Book of Eli for best twist and most based depiction of Faith vs cynicism.
It was amazing. Once again thoroughly impressed by Pattinson's acting.
And why tf hasn't Guy Pearce been in more big budget movies? The guy is kino incarnate.
case in point The Poposition.
Hopefully Blood Meridian takes after it
I enjoyed the setting and the bleakness of it, since the Western world is definitely going to collapse and that's probably what it's going to look like afterward. But in terms of story, there just wasn't one there really. It was very much a low budget mood piece, which would be fine, but the low-budgetness of it definitely showed through sometimes. Long hold scenes where there's no dialogue and nothing happening are the bane of my existence. It exudes the "we legally need to make the 70 minutes mark".

The Road. I think people sleep on this movie too much. In my opinion it's about as good as the book, which is fantastic.
