Father-in-law's grab and go.

My father-in-law died last year and now we're getting around to cleaning out his shed Workshop as the trailer they lived in has been sold.

I always wanted to scroll saw but the newer one seem cheap this one seems good though cast iron base and platform to work on. However the guard is broken and it's a bit Rusty but luckily among the things he had in his shop there with some of that pink rust removal crap so I'll try that out.

The slab bleeds are mostly junk just Steel however there is a carbide tipped wobble dado set I always wanted to try out. But I've already got two stacking dado set so maybe not.

Bc also Nearly New 18 volt Dewalt drill. It's just like the old one I tossed a few years ago because the batteries kept getting completely discharged and failing to charge. Tape measure, vacu suck, little odds and ends
One other thing they had was a video camera that he had hidden there. There was a few blank VHS cassettes for it with it in the bag but I found a trove of about 90 others. It looks like this pair were swingers as it shows stuff from a cruise and then stuff in rooms afterwards

Surprisingly the video camera works perfectly and even the battery is still except charge. It must use one of those older types as it says to discharge it completely before storing for long periods.

There's lots of tool restoration videos on youtube. The scroll saw shouldn't take much to bring it back good as new.

I hate YouTube and some of their restoration videos. One of them I watch was just full full of bullsht, that turned it off halfway through

Yes if you are looking at restoring a desert eagle from a ditch it is 100% fake. But usual items are fine.

        >civilness

It's like nobody understands the Rule Of Reciprocalness.
Whatever happened to personal accountableness and responsibleness?
Do these people have a learning disabledness? Or is this just a manifestation of latent homosexualness?
Whatever the reason, people with manners are in the minorness.

I think Mike Tyson said it best when he said people tell people online stuff that if they said in person they'd get a punch in the face.

I love those cams. Sony Hi8. If you wanna get rid of the cam or tapes definetly sell them because people like me use and collect them, but don't be a gay that lists it for $150 or higher because honestly frick that shit.

I used to be a filmgay for decades with my Leica, Contax and Hasselblad.

I found some video tapes of my father-in-law he shot on a cruise ship, some at his daughter's home when I was living downstairs with my wife to be. Funny I don't remember that, being photographer I'm usually very aware when someone is doing that.

It looks like he was filming in the cabin of a cruise ship and out on Deck as I recognize the skyline as being my old hometown of Vancouver and it looks like an Alaskan trip. Damn this stuff is weird. It says surprisingly High Fidelity but it is unforgivable because it does not have a video output anywhere on the camera. I'd have to find a working VCR and Patch it into a computer to capture the video if I want it

So far I've only had time to go through about 15 of the six or seven dozen cassettes. I have to fast forward through it, as none of them were labeled except for a number and some other markings so I assume he had a log book somewhere that is now lost. He was filming in his cabin with his wife and then he put the camera down and answered the door and I could hear talking and muttering going on in the background for about 30 minutes before it ended. Currently the batteries are not very well preserved as they're not holding a charge very well. So I have to recharge them 25 or 30 minutes worth of viewing I do on it

The camera seems in really good shape, it's got some extra batteries including a huge op tech one which makes it not a very good camera as you won't allow you to hold it normally with the strap over your palm. It doesn't even have a way to power it with an AC adapter, which seems kind of stupid to me. But I guess this one is a strictly amateur camera as the controls are almost all automated like shutter speed white balance and stuff like that

You can buy an adapter for the old drill so that it fits new dewalt batteries. They sell them on eBay.
