So to make a long story short, I need recommendations for a new gun.
My requirements are that it needs to be manually operated, since I can't reliably source smokeless ammo, and it needs to be powerful enough to put down a full size orc in a couple shots. I'd also like it to have a long length of pull since I have trouble shouldering most rifles (To give you an idea, I am completely incapable of properly shouldering an m4 clone). This isn't necessary though, since I can just use it like a pistol, which is what I did with the mossberg. Weight also isn't a factor, a 20lb rifle is fine by me.
A lever action rifle in .45-70. It was originally a black powder cartridge, so that won't be an issue. Also, some manufacturers make them with "large loop" levers that ought to accommodate your hands.
Its more arm length than hand size thats the problem.
