Some Chinese components did end up in the production line a few years ago. They had to tear apart planes and dig them out. Yes, the components were compromised. Never trust a sneaky chink.
They were just magnets you moron.
But you knew that, your just bumping your shitposting thread.

Shitty iron-only magnets. Those will eventually run out of magnetism from wear and tear. It's best to use Neodynium-alloy magnets. You need a certain level of Quality Control to for first rate planes and China hasn't shown that kind of dedication with it's tofu-dregs products.
Question:
How do you guys know, parts ain't from China, other than an e-mail or a piece of paper saying it ain't?
Wouldn't it be accurate to state, its still based on "trust" in the suppliers?
This isn't the War Thunder forum so I won't give details but there are measures against that including audits and massive penalties if you try and frick the MIC out of that particular clause.

Nta but it's not just about price for stuff like that. While some raw product can be competitively priced, the issue is capacity. If a manufacturer needs 600k tons of steel bar and that's what a whole region of the us can produce in a year, it's not going to work regardless of the price
i find it amusing when bugpeople think that they produce all the worlds advanced electronics, when in reality they only handle a percentage of consumer grade trash.
Hell yea
>$500,000 for a pair of glorified google lenses
Lmao, do amerilards really?
Yes. Bet they are also full of chink electronics
Nope, thats not how it works.
Worked on 35B. The No-China policy is even stricter than for Super Hornets. Parts for it aren't even allowed to pass through Chinese shipping hubs.
>No-China policy
Lmao yeah its not like the burger MIC would LIE about anything to cut corners to increase stock prices now would they?

I imagine a lot of the “cheap stuff” like steel and aluminum and other generic parts become really expensive if they are sourced “locally”

Imagine having to abort a mission because your $100m jet shipped with $200 goggles that don't fricking work.
there is probably some quality control in there but its mostly kickbacks to senators and other MIC beneficiaries
>Can't see through the floor of his wienerpit.
The price is the feature. MIC is a jobs program.
It may seem like a lot to you, but it's pretty much pocket change for the Pentagon.
post hand with time stamp
>Lmao, do amerilards really
Do we really dominate the world's skies& oceans? Yeah of course we do
Why are you obsessed with them, airman?
Like clockwork
Why the obsession with airmen?

The HGU-55/P is still the best looking helmet though.
I should reinstall TIE Fighter
It was pretty good if I remember correctly.
Get it and xwing alliance, theres an update mod that uses both and is a fricking joy to play
