Why is he boasting about attacking IS when he was attacking the SDF w/ embedded Americans?

because in the russian mind all anti-government forces in syria were ISIS. Americans helping rebels = america helping ISIS to them. it was a staple of their propaganda back then

    >In order to suppress the militants, they began to impose artillery, the IS responded with their guns and a normal battle ensued, in which it is advisable to go on the attack. At 23:45, the command was given to storm the positions of the IS, and suddenly the Americans began to attack from the sky. They unleashed the entire power of their aircraft on the Wagner attack aircraft: F-15E bombers, MQ-9 Reaper strike UAVs, and an AC-130 flying artillery battery were involved. Several AH-64 Apache helicopters spun the fire carousels non-stop. Even B-52 strategic bombers were raised.

Not one of those details could he have any knowledge about.

      >B-52s assaulted me.
What a God damned lying piece of shit.

Could you guys just prigghole post on /misc/ where this fricking bullshit belongs?

The US did send B-52s though. That's on the wiki even with sources

On February 9, I flew urgently to Moscow and tried to see Shoigu to find out what had happened. I wanted to find out why all the agreements collapsed and why the tragedy of February 8 happened.

The Minister of Defense did not receive me. I signed up for the 10th, the 11th and so on ad infinitum, but he had no time to talk to me. Then I caught him at a reception in the Kremlin, where I took advantage of my opportunities.

I approached him and asked: "May I have a word with you about the situation that occurred on February 8 near Deir ez-Zor?" He turned around and calmly and arrogantly replied, "You wanted to cheat? You did. All the heroes are here in this room right now." - Here he looked around with his hand at those around him in expensive suits - "And you have gone completely insane." That was the end of the conversation.

      >You wanted to cheat? You did.
And that is the entire explanation. There was an agreement and a line not to be crossed and Wagner crossed it.

Yeah I don't know how he's gone this long simultaneously not getting it AND not being killed by someone who does.

lol, and lmao. I think the funniest part of Wagner getting curbstomped in Syria by the US was that the fatalities went up by a huge degree due to their wounded hemorrhaging to death from submunition wounds. 🙂

Given how often he says that they did it and then immediately does nothing I'm betting it's just a nothingburger
maybe a conspiracy between the two, even

See this is what I don't get about Prigozhin's worldview.

      >we need to kill "IS"
      >they get money from oilfields
      >we're going to cut them off and drive them out of the oilfields
All of the above, if he's telling the truth (lmao no he's not), is straightforward and logical.

      >we need support from the Russian military
      >we're going to attack a strongpoint with "ISIS" and American troops
This is too much. If you're going to attack a position with Americans, do it without the formal support of the Russian military. Do not expect to get help.

      >the military says they're going to INTERCEPT AMERICAN AIRCRAFT TRYING TO HIT US
      >THE RUSSIAN MILITARY PROMISES TO GET INTO AN AIR BATTLE WITH THE AMERICAN MILITARY
This is moving from pushing it to completely nonsensical. If they were going to do this, they would give you a company or two of Russian SOF or something. I have no idea how as a man in Prigozhin's position you could possibly hear this and think the person saying it is being serious.

      >you get BTFO by the USAF
      >it turns out the Russian military was told by the US that if they fired on American aircraft, American troops, or used any of their systems to support Wagner, the US would destroy the involved Russian assets
      >the Russians wisely decided that getting S-300s BTFO for some fat bald frick wasn't a good idea and stood down
      >nobody told you of this
We call this fricking around and finding out. You're a PMC. How on earth did you not realize this could happen beforehand?

      >RusBlack folk think they could have contested the air with the USAF
lol, and lmao. I think the funniest part of Wagner getting curbstomped in Syria by the US was that the fatalities went up by a huge degree due to their wounded hemorrhaging to death from submunition wounds. 🙂

Anon, if an S-300 battery was in range and it was engaging F-15Es or whatever, and those assets didn't have ARMs/cruise missiles, there's a good chance they could have kept the USAF off Wagner's back for (being optimistic here) about 15 minutes. I wouldn't call it contesting the air though. I'd call it shocking the US a bit and forcing them to just put HARMs on some F-15Es and go to work.

        >Anon, if an S-300 battery was in range
If an S-300 battery was in-range it would've been deleted.

Not until it fired on the US aircraft. An F-15E in range (if the ground action was performed in range in the first place which Prigger is conveniently leaving out and honestly probably didn't even consider) WILL have to drop stores and evade if they're suddenly fired on.

Please do remember that I agree with you. The S-300 would be deleted. I'm just pointing out that until arrangements were made TO delete it, it'd be able to drive off fighters, the AC-130 and maybe the B-52s.

this shit makes no sense, he really thought that the Russian MoD was going to "protect" Wagner units by attacking American equipment in the area?
      >b-but nobody told us!!
maybe they assumed you weren't completely moronic, or maybe they just thought it would be funny to watch you try to attack an American base

It's hilarious isn't it? I bet someone in Russian command was like
        >YOU TOLD THEM YOU'D FRICKING WHAT? CYKA BLYAT
and drilled a fresh hole in that person's spoon. It probably never got to Prigozhin because the person who was supposed to tell him was busy servicing Putin as an apology or some shit.

yeah it just seems like a lot of coping and seething from Wagner, it doesnt even make sense when you break it down.
What would the Russian armed forces in the region even gain from this 'act of betrayal'? Like I get it they are mercs, and specifically they are mercs who take part in offensive operations and yeah in that field your likely to get the short end of the stick as your employer will sacrifice your dudes to preserve their own forces, that makes total sense. But the story im reading here makes none, your telling me high command all the way up to the MOD willingly sacrificed your unit for the frick of it when it hurts the greater overall effort of the operation? that is exceedingly petty even for Russia, and i think the dude who wrote this is lying to save face.
