Why is Europe's fishing so ass compared to America? It's all just course fish like carp where you throw in your bait and wait a few hours for a fish to happen to bite it. The only fun fish to catch like catfish, zander, pike, perch, all have their counterparts in America as well so there's no point in going there.
I'm not shitting, I'm just wondering if it has some geological reason like the ice age killing everything or whatever.

I living near the rhine which was the birthplace of european salmon. This entire region life off of salmon until they build 10 dams which killed everything off. The only fish which is driving is the fricking Common bream which like +80%. We don’t even have a lot of catfish and if you catch them you must kill them. Why? Because they still see them as invasive in this kind of water, not declearing it as shit water what it is because of the so call Green Energy Companies who operate the dams. The last good fish who we had was the European grayling which got killed off a few years ago.

Just look at Washington State to see what happens when you get rid of the dams: entire ecosystems rebuild themselves and the fish and other animals flourish. Eastern and central Europe have shit fishing yes, Western and Northern europe has generally very good sea fishing, Scandinavia, Iceland and Scotland also have pretty good freshwater fishing too.
