Yeah, well, you probably don’t want to use it on metal pipes.
Also, it’s variously banned at time.

if your issue is grease/hair, then it works just fine. best to use it on a slow drain, not a complete blockage. people have issues when they try to use it on a clog, where it sits in the pipes for hours on end

you 100% had/have a hole in your sewer pipes somewhere

ok skippy... let me spell it out for you dumbass.

poured the sulphuric acid down the pipes it bubbled and made steam and didn't go anywhere and the smell of it came back out of the drain.

It doesn't matter how/why, there should be zero sewer smells in your house if your plumbing system is working the way it should. Every fixture has a p-trap, which prevents any gas or smell from coming out. If you smell sewer gas, then something is leaking and you should probably get it inspected.

it's like you idiots can't read.

IF YOU DUMP SULFURIC ACID DOWN A CLOGGED DRAIN IT IS GOING TO STINK!

Literal chemist here. I cannot think of anything in your pipes/drains that would reduce sulfuric acid to hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell) aside from pure alkali metals or bromide/iodide ions. Reducing sulfuric acid to hydrogen sulfide would also be VERY exothermic and create a bunch of pressure in your pipes/ducts

                This guy is probably correct

One time people in Hong Kong thought there might a nut throwing acid on the patio people below due to noise, but it turn out that someone poured strong acid down very clogged pipes, it sat there and ate through the old pipes before it could eat through the clog. I think it's best to be patient by trying very hot water and concentrated dish or laundry detergent first. There is also baking soda and hot vinegar which might shake things lose. You can also use a plunger on a kitchen sink.

          >baking soda and hot vinegar
I did that to a clogged bathroom sink once (hair) and it sprayed everywhere.

Hot water and dish detergent will do fine for fats but will never disintegrate cell stuff like hair.

Also it amazes me how many people always think they need chemicals or drain snakes and don’t even own pic related.

          > buy once for $10
          > zero damage to pipes ever
          > physically pull/push the clog like an air hammer
          > doesn’t get stuck

What does it mean when your toilet runs really slow, but your sinks dont, and i can shower for an hour and it doesnt back up?

I had my toilet off and replaced the ring, its not clogged in the actual stool.

does your sink or toilet make a gurgling noise?

Small 1bath single story on a slab
I hear gurgling from the kitchen sink when my clothes-washer drains.

No gurgling from sink or toilet.
The toilet will fill up and slowly empty, and keep emptying draining more water than it's supposed to. The bowl water level is really low after it drains almost like it's syphoning it out

I have this happen every time the toilet is flushed with a big shit in it it pulls the water out of the shower floor drain and lets all the smelly sewer gasses into the bathroom.

I live in a condo in a high rise. I have a washer/dryer that is next to the kitchen sink. When the washer drains it backs up into the kitchen sink. I tried snaking it, but I didn't go very far because I didn't want to go farther than "my" pipes because if the snake got stuck I would be fricked. Should I take the acid pill bros?

Sink was clogger and I dumped a couple bottles of the drain clearing solution the supermarket had, didn't do shit so I bought a couple of 5l bottles of bleach and dumped them in, that did the trick.

Actually it was funny, I'd literally bought a snake and was unwrapping it to go in there manually when the drain unclogged and started working perfectly.

I have a slow draining kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and bathtub, I guess I should try it. Vinegar and baking soda did nothing. Though I haven't tried a plunger just yet.

Well I had asbestos pipes in my house and I knew it. so I tried some acids to unclog a sink. Didn't work. So I sent a snake cam in them to discover small rocks stuck in the u bent.

Always send in a camera before trying to unclog grey water drains.

Watch out out, it melts toilet seats. We had paki janitors who used sulphuric acid to clean toilets and it caused damage. And months later the City found damage to their sewer pipe and came checking. And I should add that sewage tratment plants don't like that stuff.
