Used to work here 10 years ago. They block the adjacent aisle if there's a forklift on the other side. I'm guessing you either left that part out of your story to make yourself sound morally correct, or they actually did forget in which case you're surrounded by neanderthals

I’m glad we got this insider knowledge of how the store works, since there is no possible way for us to know this otherwise. Yes dipshit obviously they block off the aisles when they use the lift. Everyone can see that

Every person I know who's worked at Home Depot has reported the opposite problem, with dipshits just pushing barriers aside and even forcing their way into the aisle the forklift was in

I’m guessing that’s actually what happened. I’m guessing OP got his ass reamed and was salty about it so he tucked his tail and ran home to rage post ‘bout it.

I am not waiting 20 minutes for you dumb shits to stop talking about league of legends clocking time on that stupid mobile staircase. You can't even stop shoplifters, all you can do is accurately describe the isle being "closed" like the very gate that says the same thing (don't worry the signs in spanish too so you know for sure I could read it and am outright ignoring your quiet quitting safespace)

Good for you. If you recall, they replaced you with diversity hires who forget what the frick they're even at the job for. I'm not waiting for a mulatto moron to operate a folding gate.

        >I'm guessing you either left that part out of your story to make yourself sound morally correct,
Cool facts, but my "story" is that I have shit to fricking do and you left out the part where I'm not waiting for your non forklift certified wagie to finish what he should have done before the goddamn store opened.

I hate having to dice roll going here and seeing if the garden section garage gate is open. It's like they really do love the mess I make when I take the wettest bags of mulch and am force to cart it to one of the registers in the store. All they would have to do is just promote janitor to garden department in the morning.

I work there over night, spent about 2 or 3 months on the day shift
the people who work there during the day are seriously moronic and most of them hide onh the breakroom for most of their shift
I can't blame them for that thouygh because I despise customers. 99% of them do not speak english. That's why I stay on night shift

I worked at a nice middle class white-majority suburban Home Depot and it was a very different experience. Most customers were boomers, weekend warriors and first time home buyers. Weekends were busy but week days were managable and we were able to keep the aisles tidy and provide actual customer service (we were still trained to address every customer in your department). We even had a big store-wide project to remodel our breakroom with new paint, laminate wood floors, tile countertops, couches and a communal dining table running the whole length of the room.

Its gone down hill since then, theft has gone through the roof, good employees left and were replaced by incompetent minorities and every product worth anything is locked away in cages to keep the tweakers at bay.

Oh and that break room was demolished and replaced with the corporate standard grey lockers, concrete floors and round plastic tables. But hey at least they put a bigger TV on the wall...

I remember when people would try and act tough and slam our banners open when the lift was in the aisle over. It was my only opportunity to scream at customers and management would have my back 100%. They ALWAYS turned right back around and sheepishly closed the banner behind them again. Always.

Home depot employees are either failed tradesman or know it all jocks with no real trade experience. They are like your friend’s “friend” who can do it for cheap.

They don’t even approach me if I’m in my work shirt.

if you're wearing a work shirt they're going to assume you know what you're looking for and you'll approach them if you have questions. OR

See the condescending attitude you have towards people that work there? That's the attitude associated with everyone who wears their work clothes. They don't want to bother you because they think you'll be a prick if they do

i bought a bunch of cardboard boxes last friday. tried to go through the manned checkout and the old boomer cashiers ignored me. i then went to the self checkout and only scanned 80% of what i had in my cart. the 20% tip i gave myself is very fair for providing myself with exemplary customer service and upholding all of the company's ethos and values.

How are you going to send payment notices to someone who pays in cash? Get their plate number from the parking lot?
