EDC holster thread, what's your current holster, what's been your favorite so far? I've been using the Alien Gear ShapeShift 4.0 IWB for around 2 years now, I absolutely love it and find it very comfortable.
EDC holster thread, what's your current holster, what's been your favorite so far? I've been using the Alien Gear ShapeShift 4.0 IWB for around 2 years now, I absolutely love it and find it very comfortable.
im unironically extra comfortable with this 30 dollar leather piece of shit.
It helps that all my big guns fit in it also
Nothing wrong with it, if it works for you.
Based leather user. 35 dollar basic holster has served me well. And so comfy.
I have a shapeshift for my glock 19 but i instantly realized that I have no chance of concealing it as I have to wear business casual to work...I went and got a MP shield plus and a phlster, seemed like it was a love it or hate it type thing but I'm a fan so far, pretty surprised how discreet it is
Just googled Phlster anon. Give me a brief review. I’m interested.
Hybrid holsters, while comfortable, are 100% the mark of an amateur/noob to concealed carry.
Full kydex with soft-loops is the only option.
I had a kydex holster, and I hated it it was bully and uncomfortable and cut into my side, I tried carrying appendix and found it impossible to sit comfortably due to me having a Glock 45, also I'd rather not have a loaded gun pointing at my dick when I sit down. The alien gear has been the best holster I've ever owned, it's comfortable conceals well, and is well constructed.
>wearing a less comfortable full kydex holster just to "not be a noob"
It's about having the ability to re-holster effectively without muzzle sweeping your thigh or wiener. Also, a good kydex holster with wide-set clips is super comfy. Bargain bin fleabay shit, not so much.
who cares about muzzle sweep when the gun is gonna be pointed at your nads anyway?
Appendix carry is for Black person posers
appendix carry is for people that don't want to change their entire wardrobe just to be able to carry a gun
The Alien gear lets you change the canter and stuff so you can wear anything you want.
Short-leg shorts are the best. Tired of freaking cargo shorts being my only option.
I'm running the aliengear almost a year around 4:00 I think it's solid. There's probably better stuff, but when i decided to go full time carry i wasn't sure where I'd end up positioning and this rig covers all the bases.
You look like you're trying to larp as a glowBlack person lmao
that pic ain't me friend, I don't wear product in my hair
You can re-holster with the alien gear shape shift just fine. And I carry behind the back because I don't want a gun pointing at my dick.
I use one of these it's more comfy than a kydex.
I have one of these, the screws all came loose and it fell apart after a motorcycle ride from Vegas to Florida.
Use loctite
I just use a cheap kydex holster for pocket carry.
>kydex
Looks like foam or neoprene to me...
Ah you're right, I remembered incorrectly. I think this one is neoprene/laminate.
Get off /k/ and take out the trash you filthy animal.
based pocket revolver shitty holster chad
although i really REALLY want a leather one
I've had such constant issues with allegedly "good" holsters falling apart in just a couple of years that I've quit bothering with them. I prefer pocket carrying to iwb anyway.
bruh its not even covering the entire trigger.
Kimber chads rise up.
Frick what the haters say about hybrids, these shits are mad comfy
Hybrid holsters are perfectly fine for DA/SAs, revolvers, and anything with a real safety. Soft shit and strikers with no safety is what gives you glockleg.
that's a sticky holster you mongoloid.
prison pocket
digits witnessed but clean up that mess please
brand new
nice, I use a leather holster for a p365 as well
it's just a hell of lot comfier than kydex
double layer kydex for owb and comp
single layer kydex for concealed
Tier 1 for a Roland Special, just like instagram told me.
>the Feds are coming after you holster man
US Department Of Commerce Asks Gun Holster Companies For Sales Records
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/us-department-commerce-asks-gun-holster-companies-sales-records
Are we going to see fat ATF homosexuals raiding fat airsoft homosexuals?
Unfortunately no bags of Doritos survived.
Aliengear released a statement saying they'd tell the feds to frick off.
I love my Aliengear. So adjustable and I love being able to swap out shells when I get a new gun.
Infidel ultra max
I don't even feel the gun
Hipsters in Brooklyn would think you have some new tablet/dildo satchel.
It took awhile to take the belt loop pill vs plastic/metal clips.
Not an OC guy but the gun and holster and denim is how you do it. Godspeed.
>open carry boomer in a Canadian tuxedo, Vietnam vet hat, and a big iorn on his hip walks up to you
>"son you don't need more than six shots, .357 Magnum is a man stopper!"
>yyyyes... sir!
I was on a suggest a Levi’s jacket but then it would not be OC.
Demin shirt, tucked in... of course
Of course.
I tried the belt loop pill but i just dont like it.
it rides way too high, even after trimming down the plastic stuff used to reinforce the snaps.
I bought it for a G19 but since i wont be using it and cant return it due to heavy modification, i just put my g40 in it to work as a trigger guard.
>what's your current holster, what's been your favorite so far?
H&K Vp9sk in an Alien Gear Conceal tuck holster
Glock 19 in a Crossbreed hybrid holster
M&P Shield / S&W Chief's special in a De Santis pocket holster. Fits both.
M&P Shield / S&W Chief's special in a Urban Carry G.3 holster. Fits both.
I just stick my gun in between the belt and pants don't need no holster or anything
Phlster Enigma with the Levo Papoose for comfort. I wear it in the Demonstrated Concepts deep carry position for being able to tuck my shirt in. Nothing is visible above the belt line even if I'm shirtless.
I don't understand the desire to carry the pistol so deep. If you aren't at work, why do you need to deep carry?
any one use four brothers? I picked up their 365xl with tlr 7 sub holster
Been carrying with a Philster Enigma for a couple months. It's a game changer. Massively superior to everything else I've tried.
This looks like some bondage accessory.
Yeah it does but whatever. Nobody ever sees it.
Kek, it does, it wraps around your leg like a garter belt. Most of the pictures of it are of women wearing it.
The enigma enables dressing lazy like this while having a largeish 365XL+Dot perfectly positioned for your draw. I can wear whatever so long as the shirt goes over the pants. It's amazing.
Bet it sucks to take a piss with though.
You generally position the gun to favor one side of your belly. It's not hard to piss at a urinal.
Im trans tho
I’m sorry.
It's fine, my family didn't accept me coming out but I'm finally comfortable with myself and who I am
How fricking trendy. Spare me, you degenerate weakling.
neck
I don't even wear the leg leash with mine, it's completely superfluous.
Can tou elaborate? The gay leg leash was the only thing stopping me from getting one
I just don't put the leash on. I notice no difference with it on or off besides not having a stupid cord around my thigh. I'm not even sure what it's supposed to do.
elaborate pls
As per their website: "Draw with confidence even from compromised positions – the Enigma’s leg leash holds the holster down securely during extreme activity."
I guess it's supposed to keep the bottom of the holster pressed against you and keep it from flopping around if you're in a full-blown sprint.
I can already run with it just fine since my pants hold it there as is. I guess holding it down while drawing is something but if I actually need to draw having to tuck my holster back in isn't really that big a deal. I've never had it plop out while drawing, either, but I guess it theoretically could.
The leg leash makes my ass look great.
How do you like it? I'm a little on the leaner side and never wear belts so belly bands tend to print a little too much for me.
It's the best parts of a belly band combined with the best parts of a sturdy kydex holster. I almost never wear a belt either. It conceals very well for me at 6' variable from 170-185lbs. It's good for skeletons/fit/lardasses alike.
I used the lightbearing enigma with the Phlster floodlight for about a month and a half and hated it. May have been more of an issue with the floodlight than the Enigma chassis itself. Idk. If anyone wants to buy the LB Enigma off me, fricking reply to this comment with a throwaway email and shoot me $20+shipping worth of BTC or something and its yours.
Also I eventually realized I don't even need the Enigma to carry in gym clothes. I just use my USPSA belt rig inner belt ([NERD] Noose Belt, but i imagine others will work fine) and wear it over the waistline of my gym shorts under my T shirt, using my regular holster
and its significantly more comfortable and concealable than the lightbearing enigma was for me.
I've been enjoying the standard, and I'd be down to try a lightbearing, too.
If you're cool with ETH shoot me an email.
emailed you
Replied a bit ago, did the email go through?
yes, love mine
Best holster for snubbies?
any acceptable quality leather/suede holster should do the job
Any zero fricks, open carry chads out there?
>yes officer, that man over there
I too enjoy being the easy target.
yes but I own a ranch, if you don't and you OC you are a idiot
maybe long distance hiking in very unpopulated areas you get a pass
Good thing impotent ranchers can do nothing but irately scream
I don't remember what the brand is and the logo is completely worn off but it's comfy and works great even with the claw section broken off
Alien gear is hot fricking garbage
Why do you say that anon?
I pocket rock a vedder holster for my glock26. It's alright but falls out in some loose pants. Drawing is kinda awkward depending on what I'm wearing.
My vedder litetuck fell apart during a work presentation. I was standing in front of around forty people, my whole office, when I felt it start to go and held it in place with my wrist. Thank God there were no questions at the end so I could scamper off to the bathroom. Was also very uncomfortable, and I was in great shape then. Swapped it for a Twinkas Rex and havent looked back.
>kydex holsters really just fall apart
what the hell
You need to loctite them, but they don't tell you that when you buy them. Screws walk out on them.
glad all the ones I actually use are leather
If they use any kind of screws you should loctite them too
Had a leather one come a little loose in church when a screw walked out some.
I rock a shapeshift when I have my 92 on me. I wish they had a shell for supressor height sights, so I can carry my G19. Other than that, I got a cheap as frick Uncle Mikes pocket holster for the 21A, while at work.
Tier 1 Concealed for IWB a Glock 19, DeSantis when I ankle carry a P365. Both are great, worth the money. I really want a DeSantis shoulder holster but there's probably a 0% chance I'd ever wear it.
I use a jm custom kydex looong AIWB for my g42. It's about as long as a g17 and really helps to stabilize the gun while offering a full grip. N9 wedge or claw needed.
I'm surprised by the amount of people using hybrid holsters. Aren't they supposed to be hot garbage (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jM6ERorBLQQ)?
The Alien Gear Holsters, have a hard plastic shell that the gun locks into, they don't suffer from a lot of the problems that he was talking about, I do draw drills with mine all of the time, never had a problem with it.
This seems way safer than hybrid holsters that have only a half kydex shell, but what's the advantage over a classic kydex holsters?
its got a nice neoprene backing that sits on your side and makes it super comfy.
Yes, but it also makes the whole setup print more, no?
What belt are you guys using? I'm using a Blue Alpha Gear low profile EDC belt, but I would prefer something less "tactical" looking with a belt buckle. I've seen those Kore belts and most reviews are positive, but there are also some claiming they sag and fall apart quickly. Any recommendations?
Just a plain old full grain harness leather belt
Daltech bullhide something or another. I’ve had pricier belts but I like it. For nylon belts I like The Wilderness reinforced belts.
First Spear EDC belt. Totally indestructible.
Also check out the Tier 1 Concealed belt.
I use the 5.11 leather belt, it's a great belt.
https://www.511tactical.com/leather-casual-belt-15.html
G-Code Phenom Stealth for the gun I carry most. Probably my favorite IWB holster across the board. Comfy fuzz, good retention, adjustable cant, conceals well.
I'm looking for a glock 19 holster for a gun that has a ton of bullshit on it. Red dot, extended mag, ported slide, threaded barrel, all that shit. I'd post it but people really hate my gun.
The most gucci meme shit so far has been a phlster enigma, but even that needs a holster shell and all the ones they sell dont accomodate for threaded barrels or compensators.
What's a garish and trashy looking holster i can get? I liked the safariland iwb holsters that looked fuzzy but they dont sell them at the cop store i go to anymore.
My Glock 19 has an RMR, suppressor height sights, griffin comp, and Surefire X300 and I use a Tier 1 Concealed IWB holster that works just fine. The whole reason I bought from them is because they had the options I needed.
Just look at the Kydex holsters on eBay, they have room for all the fixins.
Gucci Glocks are the anally transmitted Monkeypox with a side of AIDS of the gun world. All the shit in the world won't fix shit grip angle and horrible trigger (even with the highest grade aftermarket shit upgrading it to "mediocre"). Don't bother @ing me glock homosexuals, not going to read it.
I can clear a USPSA match 100% A-zone with a stock Glock19 if I slow down a bit. The triggers are not 1911 tier but they're not that bad. The best aftermarket triggers are pretty good.
I somehow landed a cool guy job where we were issued hand me down Gen 3 Glocks from DHS. Nobody said they needed a gold fluted barrel and slide cuts and my plain Glock never once malfunctioned.
Lots of Glock modifications are like when people lift a brand new truck resulting in all of the alignments being fricked up. It now has instability on the highway, irregular tread wear, bad gas mileage, etc... They'll then blame the manufacturer.
I wasnt going to but posting now just to make you mad
absolutely disgusting. you should be red flagged immediately, and your mom should confiscate those homosexualy dolls.
>cartoons and toys
>budget chink optic
>horrific rice glock
Adds up. YWNB a grown man.
the clearance holosun optic will ALWAYS make you gays seethe, its amazing.
Go collect another child's toy, little boy.
Glocks are all ugly. I wouldn't say it looks nice now, but you certainly haven't made it any worse.
i disagree, that anon should be imprisoned for that disaster.
Did you wrap the blown-out butthole of one of your plushies around the grip?
USP Compact .40 in a Vedder Lighttuck. Everyone says Vedders are mediocre but I'm not sure what could be improved on it, works fine for me. I may buy a JMCK just to see what I'm missing.
Top Tier Banter
Not really for me but enjoying it pissing off groupthink
I like it
You have changed my mind. I kneel.
I really like the desantis leather ones but the holster was just a c**t hair too short and after awhile my front sight would catch when drawing.
So i switched to this blackhawk and it's pretty comfortable.
was your camera in a gallon of piss when you took this photo?
I use a cheap Bianchi leather holster for my Taurus 856. Does what I need it to do I guess.
For all my autoloaders I use Vedder LightTuck holsters. Got no complaints with them besides that the retention screw gets loose overtime if you use a claw, but nothing a little threadlocker can't solve.
I have one for my Colt Cobra and another for my CZ-P07. Can be worn outside or in. But better as a retention holster worn iwb. Get one of their hybrids for an owb.
Concealment Express IWB if I'm going to be active and want it more secure. If I want to be comfortable and am going to be fairly sedentary that day I forgo a holster entirely and just carry it in my belt.
I used an Aliengear about 5 years ago but it was bulky and the clips wore out.
Jm4 tactical is the comfiest, not quick draw but worth it for me to be comfortable and actually use it
Also works with gym shorts/running shorts quite well, and the magnetic clasp clips to my door compartment securely for inside the car draw
This is my present carry setup.
G19.4 MOS Slide on a Shadow Systems MR918 Frame in a Tenicor Malus Sol. I have tried lots of holsters and this is my favorite.
Iv just been carrying an m80 with a 1 second fuse. Black folk hate them.
i only use werkz holsters. they're reasonably priced and fit my gun/light like a glove
mean gene belts look cowboy cool
is a belt really necessary? i never wear a belt so i would have to buy one and start
Yeah you're gonna want a belt. You can carry particularly light guns in basketball shorts in the right holster but generally speaking you're gonna want a belt. I don't use a belt made for carry, I just wear regular belts, but I could hardly imagine carrying for any real length of time without one.
thanks, friend
i'll be carrying a p365 so i'll opt for some regular non-descript leather belt
