You do realize now much napalm we dumped on that place right? There was still endless jungle. And you think a pathetic drone will do what 750lb napalm canisters won't?
          Dronegays delusional again.

What makes grenade drop and fpv with thermals even better. You can get air bursts for free and thermal is even better than in ukraine.
        >poor connection
Not different from ukraine. Use masts.

        >can't see shit
Thermal, and unironically it's easier to see people and equipment in the jungle because they need cut trees to make anything comfortable. River and water source surveillance makes them even more useful

        >can't fly because will collide with a tree
Use grenades with impact fuze+delay and you get air burst grenades...

Southeast asians don't want you to know this but vegetation can be removed, you can just fly up and just drop agent orange on it. I have 3 million hectares of defoliated Vietnamese countryside on my front lawn.

The connection is much better than in Europe or US, most of Thailand is 5G covered.

You can't hide from thermals. Even insulation will only delay heat transfer.

        >poor connection
There's this amazing radio technology called the repeater that can be put on tall masts or unmanned aircraft and solve that problem.

        >can't see shit
What are image intensifier tubes and thermal cameras?

        >can't fly because will collide with a tree
Just build a cage around the rotors and they can indeed bump into things without being damaged.

The bombing campaign in the Vietnam War would have succeeded if American bomber pilots didn't have their hands tied by overly restrictive ROE. War has been decided by whoever controls the air since WW2. Low cost robot aircraft just make that easier and more responsive.

bearing in mind Indochina isn't all tropical rainforest, but also tropical forests. Tropical forests have dry seasons so you'll get more aerial visibility. Plus, defoliants.

Also naval drones would probably be pretty good, given how important waterways are for transportation in jungles.

While tree canopies will reduce their effectiveness you can still have a FLIR spotting drone seeing though some of it and bigger suicide drones so airburst on branches is still a bad time for guys on the ground.
Also the loss of visibility works both ways, good luck shooting down a mortar dropper drone that's 50m above the canopies.

    just use wire-guided drones?
    have drones have ducted fans?
have a repeater drone to strengthen the fpv drones?

Wrong. Design drones that can "perch" on tree tops. Bear in mind, the trees are 50 meters tall. This means the drones can power down and hide until it detects people nearby. The drone can then either attack or summon artillery/air strikes.
