Did it today, actually. Got out of my car for a few minutes and stuck my pistol in my waistband. With the safety on and a double action first shot, and knowing I wouldn’t be carrying it more than a few minutes, I figure it’s probably okay.
A holster is better.
my great uncle used to mexican carry a model 10 when he went to the city. family lore is that he ND'd his nuts off, that's why he never had kids. we're also in Canada so CC is super illegal, and I doubt he ever had a gun license in the first place lol
I've tried it a couple times, in both cases the gun just slid down my pants after I walked less than 4 blocks. I think it only works if you're fat enough that your gut can deform and grip the gun enough to keep it in place. I even tried it again with a "sticky" holster to keep it from sliding and it kept slipping down
I carried without a holster for a few years. >fns long slide 9mm >cond 3 >4 o'clock with the grip turned forward for Calvary draw
honestly super comfy, super safe and my draw time was about 1.6 or 1.7 seconds, which a lot of guys can't get anyway.
there are some real benefits: >holsters are bonko expensive, especially when you buy like 9 because they keep sucking >when you draw and rack the slide, it gives you a really good chance to fix your grip, meaning you will be more accurate and faster shot to shot, rather than fighting the weapon >it's fucking slim. you really can't understand how nice it is to have the gun just disappear with no fuss and no hassle.
yeah a gamer aiwb rig is better in some ways, but Mexican carry is tits and anybody who disagrees has skill issue and marketing scars. I carry with a holster now so I can use a weapons light, but that's the only reason
If you guys want to carry like that check out holsters similar to the raven concealment vanguard 2. It's more of a trigger sheath than anything. You can use a piece of paracord so it works with any sort of pants, or treat it like a normal holster.
>trigger sheath
kind of pointless for non-Glocks or any gun that doesn't have a shitty safety.
The Vanguard 2 retention seems nice, but that's all it has going for it. Holstering is would be a pain every time and drawing looks awkward. I'm sure you training would minimize it, but it'll never be as smooth as carrying your gun raw.
I was watching Narcos and I find it hilarious that these drug dealers have millions of dollars but can’t afford to spend a few bucks on a single holster
I do occasionally when I need a convincing way to CC and no plans to do more than light physical movement. For me that generally means scenarios in which I know that I'll be in an area with elevated danger and wearing a coat or jacket would be odd.
It's surprisingly comfy if you're coming from a history of only ever wearing IWB holsters. I wouldn't recommend doing any jumping or running, though. Supposedly there's techniques to practice to secure the gun while you scurry for cover or something, but honestly I'd probably just whip it out if I need to take off at full sprint at that point.
My mom carries a Ruger pistol of some kind Mexican style, it has a clip on one side of it so that it can be put on the waistband of your pants, so that it doesn't fall down or accidentally show off your pistol.
I did some googling but it didn't make any sense because I didn't think my mother would carry something in .380, since I've also seen her repeatedly carry a 1911.
Around the house yes, but not in public just because personally I find it silly and impractical unless you have a in waistband holster ready to go
>Around the house yes
why? just lock your doors.
so is mexican carry the middle of the back or just without a holster period?
No holster
thank you anon
no holster aiwb

I Mexican carried my Mark 23 once to show a buddy after I got it.

Wear a fucking belt, retard.
just wear pants that fit and stop trying to sag them, zoomer.
I was wearing a thick leather belt with jeans both times. I'm just not a fatass so I have to keep the grip low to the beltline to avoid printing.
I carry a S&W 469 sometimes. It kind of sucks, my pubes get caught between the slide and frame and the gun doesn't stay put in my waistband very well.
I do because I have yet to find a good holster for my 92X Compact with an optic.
>with an optic.
You're missing the point of MC.

Only with single action revolvers.
