    >does it count as an ND
Why bother answering? By now we all know that ND's are just a normal and fun part of gun ownership.

Only if the gun wasn't pointed downrange. Otherwise it's a clearing proceedure.

Only if you're a Fudd. Every ND is a chance you've shot someone or put a hole in your walls. You want to explain to your landlord why you shot the water heater? Or have to explain to the plumber why the blackwater line is leaking?

        >Accidental discharge
Negligent Discharge is the proper term. "Accidental discharge" is a descriptive phrase.
If your gun goes off and you didn't meanf or it to happen, you have been negligent. you have commited a Negligent Discharge because your gun was accidentally discharged, and that is negligence on your part. The only exceptions to this are rare circumstances such as range instruction or using a gun as a stage prop, where someone else is responsible for the ammunition. in that case, it can sometimes be their negligence that caused an accidental discharge, and they will bear responsibility for the Negligent Discharge, since their negligence lead to an accidental discharge

Accidental discharge happens when a mechanical failure occurs that leads to discharge without operator input.

The fact that people refuse to acknowledge that is still boggling my mind.

ND’s Happen normal & fun part gun ownership

Don't feel bad, they've happened to me a few times
      >At friends apartment at college.

      Third time
      >At parents house.
      >Just bought a sig from a guy

      >Pull trigger
      >Shoot parents wall

      Fourth time

      >No idea how but a round got chambered
      >Show him how the trigger works
      >Pull trigger
      >Shoots round into floor in the same place as before
      Sixth time
      >Thought maybe the house was haunted
      >Grab a sig
      >Physically clear it, (racked the slide 3 times) with no magazine in pull trigger at the same hole
      >Round goes off

      Seventh time
      >Friend brings over a used
      >Glock wants me to look over it
      >I grab it and pull the trigger without clearing it
      >Didn't even realize the thing was loaded.

      Eighth time
      >Friend brings over his transferable Mac 10
      >I had no idea how open bolt guns worked.
      >He's showing it off to me I put a loaded mag it and decided to try and release the bolt (I thought it shot from a closed bolt)

Oh I know it's a copypasta but thinking that it's some kind of rationalization for putting everyone around you at risk is unforgivable.

I mean, imagine getting hit by an ND and the guy who did it just says "It's just a part of gun ownership".

the answer to this question depends entirely on whether or not you took your finger off the trigger first

      Anonymous

Yes, the image shows exactly where the round gets stuck. Finger fully off the trigger. And if you jiggle it, it will unstick and fire.

        >Finger fully off the trigger
in that case the discharge itself did not occur because of negligence, but if that bullet goes anywhere except downrange then you were still negligent as all frick

    If it's your fault, it's a ND
If it's the gun's fault (very rare) it's a AD. In this case I would declare it a AD
