    >Ukraine has a positive ratio this early in the offensive operation
Does not bode well for the Russians.

Wonderful! At this rate the Ukranian Army should be a self-sustaining entity. They won't need anymore foreign aid, and perhaps they can even start paying back their generous donors, such as the US.

Yes. As soon as Russia is pushed back to pre-2014 borders and Crimea is returned to Ukrainian ownership.

Ukraine is costing the US billions but saving them trillions, imagine how expensive it would be to have WW3 because Putin got wienery and invaded the Baltics Poland

Once Russia gets 100% broken, not only Ukraine, but Europe won't need foreign military support for decades. This war is a godsend for the US taxpayer

Again, I don't understand why you isolationist boomers fail to grasp that a win for Ukraine will pay massive dividents to the west.

Just the dramatic deterioration in Russia's soft and hard power, their massive loss in popularity in the military market in favor of western middle-market options and the altered security reality it will bring about for Europe will already make this war pay itself back in 20 years time.

If we were grasp the full picture?

        >Massive western shares in every Ukranian industry, which will boom massively post-war due to western investment.
        >Economic influence will increase prosperity in adjacent westernized nations like Romania and Poland, leading to a massive drop in the need for European funding.
        >Exploiting their gas supplies will result in Europe completely exchanging dependency from Russia to Ukraine, which due to the mix of shares and a debt of gratitude, will not be particularly intent on pinching pennies.
        >The renewal of western political will won't just massive increase military industry across the west, but will indirectly make many stunts meant to impoverish the west dead on arrival.

The Ukraine war will pay itself back harder than the Marshal plan ever did.

1:1 when attacked prepared defensive positions is probably good but I think it could be better

Anyone know what the ratio was at the beginning of the karkhiv or Kherson pushes?

Probably skewed massively in Ukraine's favour because of the sheer number of vehicles the Russians just abandoned.

About as good as one can hope for. Attackers tend to rack up the numbers by running down defenders.

No, like in the very beginning of those offensives, before any serious collapse or “regrouping “

kherson was probably similar or worse, kharkiv was a rout so almost all losses were russians abandoning their vehicles

      >Ukronazis are losing
      >Somehow trading even in an offensive operation

Jesus christ, that narrative is fricking gone.

Kharkiv? Incredibly skewed towards Ukraine because it was a massive sweep, where after the initial breakthrough the Russian army just kept running until Izium where they left all their equipment in exchange for being allowed to leave.

Kherson? Should be significantly skewed in Russia's benefit. Russia had relatively little heavy material in the region while Ukraine was making due with shit like Humvee's for breakthrough attempt.

Either way, Kharkiv was them catching Russians with their pants down while Kherson was them attacking positions that were rapidly becoming untenable and impossible to keep adequate supplied.

This is a pitched battle between the best what Russia has to offer (Most of their southern task force and most of their rapid response units) and the best that Ukraine has to offer (Their best hardware, staffed by volunteer units and backed up by veteran units) where Russia has both a decisive terrain advantage and prepared and matured defensive lines.

THEY SHOULD NOT BE TRADING EVENLY

Uke's are headbashing defense lines, which were prepared for almost a year, and still have fewer losses than russia??. Srsly??.
Don't get me wrong. Watching russians getting clapped is like getting presents for Christmas, but every day. Yet still. I must say i am astounded. And russians shill have the auacity to spam 3 webms with bonked Bradley's and Leo's with comments : it's over...

I doubt there is any US vehicle larger than a wheelbarrow in Ukraine that isn't being followed by US satellite from hour to hour. Or russian vehicle, for that matter. They know exactly what is in use, or damaged, or destroyed, or being towed to a repair facility.

I like how jeeps and tanks both count as 1.

      Anonymous

Did a quick count: RU vs UA:
      Tanks 18:13
      IFV 24:22
      APC 9:2
      (SP)G 15:4
      AA 2:1
      Jets 0:1
      Other 20:40

So the Jeeps distort the picture indeed. But the Mig lost is somewhat lost in the list as well
