Gun is meh and I hate the magazines. The magazines have on the back and side an extra extension to house the slide stop actuator. This adds considerable dimension to the magazine and could have easily been done by a more centrally located part of the follower. I hate it so much that kind of ruined the gun for me. AKs are just better.
All that said the history of the Russians letting the Czechs make it is kind of neat and if you're Canadian, I guess you're allowed to have one or something?

No, it's from Ohio Ordinance so technically a vz 2000 though for all I know they were made from the same stock of rifles.

I love it. It’s one of my favorite rifles to shoot and my overall favorite 7.62x39 rifle. Folding stock with a 10 round mag is really light and compact and handy for goofing off innawoods and with a regular fixed stock it’s super comfy. The rifle is really light and thin and uses a cool operating system. Yeah it gets hot but who cares, wear gloves

I shot a converted to semi one a couple of times and it was okay. Accessories and parts aside it's like on par with an AK.
Functionally made sense when they were cheap and 7.62x39 was cheap. That time has passed.
