Jesus Christ. What a fricking genius idea. (You) should tell more people about it, OP. Might be something to it, maybe even apply for a patent or a copyright or something.

    This. Changes. EVERYTHING.

It's almost time to do some summer scouting actually. I'm about to get my bow restrung so I can start practicing for the early elk season too.

Even without night vision goggles, a thermal optic is very effective, even moreso than flashlights

I would rather have a thermal than i2 night vision for hunting

For me, it's an equation of cost. Some digital NVGs are pretty cheap, while some are very expensive. A thermal clip is about a grand. Some cheap digital NVGs or a monocle would do the trick.

I believe the PVS-14 NVG monocle is standard issue among NATO forces and other Western forces for night operations. But I'm just talking about hunting hogs.

If the goal is bang for your buck I'd use a dedicated thermal sight and not a clip on, clip ons are harder to do right so they're more expensive for what you get. Nothing wrong with digital NV for hunting but even a cheap thermal is just so much more effective. Another nice thing about thermal is that if you want to flex it into an offensive weapon for use against humans you won't have to worry about being reliant on IR spotlights(that someone else with night vision can see) like you would with digital or gen 1/2 night vision.

Ruger scout in .350 with a red dot and good ol shotgun slugs (straight wall state). Might move 20m over to northern kentucky. No straight wall cuckery there iirc plus no cinci transplants driving home prices through the roof. Idk why they all move to indiana instead of boone, kenton county ky instead. Big oaks is usualy a good destination. I try to live a homesteading lifestyle while still being a 9-5 wageslave. Hunting fishing gardening you get the idea.

That's a crime, and that's a photo from the AP.

You want to post gore of cats? That's pretty sick.

War footage is one thing, but I don't think this is appropriate for this board, so I'll report it.

Because I'd assume your intention is to offend or promote criminal animal abuse. While the war in Ukraine is fully condoned as legitimate by NATO and Western governments.

Owning a cat does not mean you get toxoplasmosis. Since you posted a photo from the AP, I'd assume you are full of shit anyways, and just trying to spread hatred and provoke. You have to be very miserable to be like that, what I feel for you is pity.

Thinking about it. Honestly I haven't even gone fishing in a few years. Depressing really I have to get back out into the woods but jobs not leaving me much time.

Big thing down here on the weekend, good things to do with family. People also set trotlines, can fill your freezer with meat overnight for little to nothing.

Cats love eating fish, while people who abuse animals go to jail and prison

Hows the taste after freezing? I instantly make a meal out of the fish I catch the same day. Just some fried catfish for example.

Yep, early autumn is the gold hunting season, almost everything is open for shooting. Gotta take my dad with me, since he actually used to hunt and I just got a gun. And our dog, if she's gonna make it through the medical operation

No. I shot a bird once with my Crosman airgun a few years back and I still feel bad about it. Hunting is not for me for sure.

Shooting borderline domestic animals that aren't a problem feels crappy.

Pretty impotent if you ask me.
Real men hunt for meat, not shoot harmless little critters and take pictures of it because they want people to notice them on social media lmao

Not him but you sound insufferable and like you use hunting as a way to prove your masculinity. You probably don't even go often.

Sometimes for game but not often. I mostly just shoot opportunity invasive species to my state or varmints with no limits no one eats with the goal to reduce, test projectiles, and practice shooting under a timed stress. Armadillo and coyote almost exclusively.
