    Antimatter
    Rods from God
    Black holes (hypothetically)

But the problem is that after a certain point, everything behaves more or less like a nuclear weapon. Big explosion = mushroom cloud, exotic weapon = radiation.

Why do people keep thinking RoG is a nuke level super weapon? It's just a big bunker buster. Dropping one wouldn't not even produce Hiroshima level effects let alone what a MIRV could do.

Aerosolized prions. Inhaled, eaten on food, almost undetectable unless you're specifically looking for them, easily produced, could disable/kill an entire continent over several years and you'd have no idea until it was too late. Then, you'd have no idea where it came from. Only symptoms are your brain stops working right long after everyone is infected.

Prions can take decades to kill people. There are brits infected by the Mad Cow outbreak of the late 20th Century that are still asymptomatic.

I don't think so. Sadly forget the type but there's one with no upper yield threshold

They all have an effective yield threshold. The Munroe Effect will frick with the radiation compression flow when you string together a bunch of secondaries.
      >Or at least so I've heard
Then we have our friend Le' Zapper. I don't know if it is more destructive per se, but it does have other distinct advantages over a traditional nuclear weapon.

        Anonymous

Not more destructive, but far more precise and more importantly, deniable. A scalpel vs a sledgehammer.

Oh but you could easily irridiate the entire planet with radiation wiping all live of the planet and leaving it a barren rock in spacd.

          >irridiate the entire planet with radiation wiping all live of the planet and leaving it a barren rock
          Not even close.
You'd frick human civilisation definitely but you're unlikely to even kill all humans.
If you did manage to do so, Chornobyl has animal life doing ok.
Life will recover, even if humans don't.

You can theoretically make a nuke that creates so much radiation that it will destroy all life, even at bacterial level and smaller.
            Check out peppered/cobalt nukes

              >creates so much radiation that it will destroy all life, even at bacterial level and smaller
I think that's only possible in a fairly small area, certainly not on the scale of a nation or the planet.
Also, even cobalt can be sequestered by some biological processes.

                Anonymous

Use enough cobalt and nothing survives, not even bacteria.

If you want to cover any serious area then "enough" is a very large amount.

nuke the sun and blow up the entire Solar System

      >nuke the sun and blow up the entire Solar System
i dont think a nuke would work, youd need antimatter, but you dont have enough. you could also add mass to it until it became a black hole, but again, you dont have enough.

        Anonymous

        The question was
        >Are we ever gonna have anything stronger than nukes?
Not "is there anything currently available that is stronger than nukes?"
Therefore a theoretical device that would cause a sun to go supernova is a valid answer.
