Why not heat some water up with your stove, kettle, or microwave? Or just wash with cold water.

the temperature of the water does not aid in cleaning

i know i can boil water on the stove, but i also want to know ways besides that (gonna fix water soon anyways)
i posted this on PrepHole for a reason; i'm not asking a country lifestyle, i'm asking a glorified caveman lifestyle
how do those in a position where they cannot bathe normally bathe?

Get a cloth wet and scrub your body. Pour cold water on your hair or dunk your head in a stream and wash it. Wash your clothes by hand in a stream and air dry them. If it's too cold or wet for that, dry them by wearing them or in your sleeping bag. Soap is nice, but not truly necessary. You'll never be super clean, but it's tolerable.

For cleaning curtains hot water is better because it can break down old dirt and debris more effectively. Skin is different and doesn’t need hot or cold water. The friction created by rubbing your skin under water is all you need.

Warm water opens your pores and cleans you better, and washes your hair much better. Washing your face with cold water is far less effective than with warm, try it for yourself.

This is what a doc told me last time I was in the ER. Family gave me shit for flushing dog bite punctures with syringes of water. Doc said that it was the right way to go because the pressure of the flushing and friction while washing were the most important elements of cleaning a wound.

You do stink, you're just smellblind to it. Suck it up and take a cold shower you rank pansy.

Boil a pan of water, get a few flannels, and wash yourself. Start with your face/head and then move in order of filthiness, ending with the bottom/genitals.

I’m a troony so HRT makes me sweat way less and be way less oily. I can go for a really long time without a shower and it’s not a huge deal. Just deodorant sticks and teeth cleaning are fine for a week or two, if I have to.

You are mentally ill, seek help.

The bookshelf is that of a male-brained individual. You can always tell by things like this that the person is actually just a he-she that society now coddles into oblivious hell. I wish them the best though, the forest will tell them the truth if they seek solitude there.

You seriously asking how to scrub yourself, on PrepHole, because you don't know how to clean yourself without hot water from a shower.

Youre not meant to soap your crotch anyway, it destroys the pheromones that tell women you're a sexual entity.

We just got done with an 8 day stint of now power. For showering it was heat water to ~120f; then use one of those Coleman shower bags (hung on a hook I put into the bathroom wall)
    Worked “well enough”.

I can't, no matter how cold it is I get in that river and wash, have a roaring fire ready if needed.
If I don't wash my skin under my arms and inner thighs splits and becomes painful. Fungus or something.

For me it's having dirty clothes. I sweat a lot, the idea of spending 2 or 3 days in the same clothes puts me off multi day hikes, clothes for each day are surprisingly heavy.

Go to a truck stop and get a shower. They cost like $15-$17 and are generally nice at the large chain truck stops. They provide the towels. You just bring soap and shampoo. Remember to wear flip flops or sandals so you don’t catch foot fungus.

The most important thing is that you're using good soap. Soap is a surfactant meaning it breaks the surface tension of the fats and greases on your skin which also carry more dirt, grime and bacteria that produce odors. Likewise it will begin to break down proteins somewhat meaning it will break down and help wash away the keratin of your psoriasis flakes and the developing patches. When you wash your hands too much in a day and they begin to grow tender and red that is partially due to washing off most of the hard keratinized surface skin. Hot water CAN help, but mostly because it opens the pores and allows you to clean out deeper grime than if your skin is puckering up from being chilly. The best method to bathe without a hot water heater is to warm a big crab boiler pot of water on the stove or a fire, use a rag with plenty of good bar soap to scrub and then take a bracing dip in a stream or hose off. Since you've got a shower you could just jump in the cold shower to rinse as well. If you want to decrease how oily your hair gets then you can dust your scalp with talc powder/non medicated baby powder and then fluff and brush the leftovers out with a thick hair brush or a dry wash cloth. The talc absorbs a lot of the excess surface grease and will hide filthy hair for a day or two. Ultimately you only want to do that two or three times before actually washing your hair with warm water and bar soap.

I spent a lot of time without bathing facilities for a while in my life and this is how I recommend tackling the situation. Good luck.

I do something like this, usually in the evening before bed. I have a colour coded hand towel system, green for top half, red for groin, blue for legs. For a short trip I'll pack cottonelle wet wipes.
