It's warranted. BMPs are vulnerable to .50 BMG ball ammo, IIRC. 25mm HE probably shreds them. There's really not a lot a BMP can do.
I remember that vid of a BMD being completely SHREDDED by a Bradley, and BMDs have even less armor than a BMP
The Brad opened up with a TOW that exploded above the vehicle, maiming everyone riding on top, the BMD stopped, the Brad tore it to pieces with the 25mm, so i think none of the crew survived, finally a drone monitoring the entire thing dropped a grenade near the surviving dismounts hiding behind what was left of the BMD

NLAWs were pretty key early during the Great Feint of Kyiv because they're moron proof and the first lot Britain ordered was about to expire and already basically written off. Being moron proof and being handed out to TA volunteers with no concept of OPSEC also meant lots of good webms.
NLAW was essential in the early days when it was about blunting the blyatkrieg so having a ton of effective anti-armor, even if it's short ranged and unguided, was the name of the game. It only fell off once the war degraded into trench slapfights and it's effective range became a significant issue.
