China's true military spending reached $710.6 billion

>This calculation is 3x larger than Beijing's self-reported totals and several billion dollars higher than estimates from the US intelligence community.

It's not even surprising. The J-20 program alone is a ¥ black hole, iirc it already is far more expensive then the F-22 program including engines, R&D and production even if the definitive variant isn't in service...

Can Turkey really be that low? Does their spending get downgraded because of weak currency rates, shouldn't they be far higher than that given their activity and size?

The Turkish MIC is booming largely due to foreign sales, not the military.

Seems high but I wouldn't be shocked if it was closer to that than the official figure. The amount of naval tonnage they have been putting out per year is huge and they haven't just been operating fast and furious on AD and missiles defense but pumping a lot of units out.

Plus, US to China can't be done apples to apples. Aside from purchasing power parity there is to consider that a substantial portion of the US budget is for health insurance or to contractors who are also paying for healthcare at lol lol lol US rates. I think the average family plan costs like $24,000 per employee; it's part of the reason for the "labor shortage." Employers don't want to offer full time hours because the insurance costs as much as the wages, while employees don't want to work multiple part time jobs and have no insurance. So like 15+% of the US defense budget is just shit other countries do as a matter of course as a fraction of the price in non-defense areas of their budget.

Fun fact: the US government spends more money per person than any nation. Yeah, not including a single $ of private healthcare, we are already paying more. And then we pay all the private amounts, all the $$$ coming out of your paycheck each week, on TOP of that. It's what happens when you give Boomers free healthcare at private rates despite them being far and away the most expensive people to insure and then allow asthma inhalers on 70 year old meds to cost $300 a month when they are $6 in Canada.

It's even more funny when you look at the Fortune 500 and see how several of the largest companies in the world are US private insurers making all that $$$ to provide lower life expectancy and worse health outcomes than fricking Cuba for three times the price. What a joke.

Eventually you'll get some autist that talks about light reflection of particulates and how it's an interplay of these in conjunction with your perception that causes you to see it as blue most of the time. Meanwhile Chine spends several billion a year on MREs that would kill off their soldiers if they had to rely on them, several billion on missiles that will misfire, and billions on various other things like quantum drone lasers that will never make it past the buzzword stage.

      >cuba
Cuban health care is so terrible that people would rather not go to it. Too much shortages and too few doctors to treat everyone. Free healthcare is a myth if you don't have the proper system/public health practices to make it sustainable in terms of supply and demand.

I'm betting this is the bulk of the difference b/t "official number" and the other estimates.
3X sounds like an good SWAG number.

China is no longer the world's most populace country and by as early as 2035 it won't even be the world's largest economies. India will have both those titles.

The world looks to the aging Eagle, who, even as he sqwacks is covered with ants flooding him from the south. He is diseased and declining, into the decadent period of being fanatically led by an obese reality TV grifter Boomer. One whole half of the Eagle is so focused on tearing apart the other half that it'll likely tear itself apart in November.

Meanwhile, the Dragon is also aging quickly and its wings are made of cardboard. Its reign will be short.

Meanwhile, the Elephant stands ready to take center stage. He is youthful and vigorous. His tusks shine like fire in the sunlight.

He shall make Tibet and East Turkestan protectorates, along with Afghanistan. Foreign influence will be driven back and Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar will once again be part of the nation, while the Greater Indian Prosperity Sphere stretches to Japan in the North down to Australia and to the borders of Iran in the West. Tibet will be freed, and central Asia will have a new figure to turn to.

Why do people not do an estimated budget of america outside of public reportings? We know that the american military budget and its MIC is already past the trillions.

    >Still can't provide enough 155mm shells to Ukraine
Thats not due to the capabilities to produce them, moron. The issue you're describing is mainly a bureaucratic one than an issue of procurement.

      >>US MIC is in the trillions
Its not? Its publically reported and is only slightly larger than China's. Whats hilarious is what we get for our $700+ billion is waaaay more than what China gets. Holy shit imagine spending as much as America and having zero (0) super-carriers.

      >chink shill Can't tell the difference between procurement and political frickery
The U.S. can produce a shittom of shells/equipment in peacetime. Along with expanding that industry if needed. Its already been stated that the aid to Ukraine is sitting in Poland waiting for congress to give them the greenlight.

      [...]
Ironic how the chink shill used his image to act like chinkstan is somehow super powerful compared to America. Must be nice to forget those hollow warheads and water replacing fuel in those missiles so fast.

He also forgot the fact that many people that bought their equipment are complaining about how they work and such. Chinkshit equipment is also bad despite their "spending" made in china is not specific to their commercial industry
