Carving a specific triangular hole in wood

Hello folks, I want to carve all those triangles to create a circle around the nine point star. But I really don't know how to erase the wood out of those places, and I have kind of low tools : I have all the time I need but I only have basic tools for DIY like saws, screwdrivers or screws etc. and a few wood carving-knives... Do you have an idea on how to realise my plan ?

You pretty much already fricked the shape you want by drilling into it all over the place.
Besides that detail, without getting a proper saw, you can drill holes in a line next to each other, tracing the shape you want. Then take a chisel and use that to free up the triangle and then smooth out the edges.
Do not drill or carve into any of the wood you want to keep!

What's stopping you from just sawing it?

You might find it significantly easier to cut out the whole wedge portion leaving only the star and then make segments for the ring portion that you can glue back in.
